AFTERMATH RELEASE VIDEO ALBUM FOR "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG

PRESS RELEASE:

Chicago’s AFTERMATH is one of the pioneering crossover Thrash bands of the 1980s:

a band that transformed into one of the most technical Thrash Metal bands of its time on its critically-acclaimed debut album, "Eyes Of Tomorrow".

Since Nov. 05, 2020, AFTERMATH have once again been revealing their very own artistic ambition with a great deal of ingenuity - the band produced a very special Video Album that includes all previous videos for the 2nd full-length release "There Is Something Wrong" - and a further, fresh video for the title track:

Video Album track list:

01. False Flag Flying

02. Diethanasia

03. Scientists And Priest

04. Smash Reset Control

05. Gaslight

06. Temptation Overthrown

07. Pseudocide

08. There Is Something Wrong

AFTERMATH explain the thematic background of the new Video Album:

"'There Is Something Wrong' is a concept album that is meant to challenge the listeners and to unsettle them. It is dark, complex, angry, sad, and yet hopeful. The lyrics and message throughout the album are a wake-up call to everyone. The intro, interludes and outro are part of the message. We are still a band, though, and without the actual songs none of it would matter; so, we decided to make a video for each song on the album excluding the intro, interludes, and outro. We now unleash the 'There Is Something Wrong video album'. We extracted just the music. We removed the extras and allow the listener to listen to the music. It’s a 34-minute musical soundscape. It’s even angrier this way. It’s more urgent. It’s a locomotive already at full speed. Listen closely and you will realize 2020 is just the beginning."

LINE-UP:

Kyriakos 'Charlie' Tsiolis • Vocals

Steve Sacco • Guitar

George Nektarios Lagis • Bass

Ray Schmidt • Drums

The latest album "There Is Something Wrong" is an 11-song opus of TECHNICAL PROGRESSIVE THRASH METAL.

A concept record in the truest sense of the word, the album features a mix of old-school crossover Thrash and technical/progressive Metal, and is a commentary on what is wrong with the world today:

UNTAMED LAND SIGNS WITH NAPALM RECORDS

PRESS RELEASE:

Napalm Records is pleased to welcome a unique new discovery from the depths of the metal underground to its growing roster. The world’s very first black metal band incorporating the feral, desolate sounds of classic, old western cinematics – UNTAMED LAND – has just inked a worldwide record deal with the premier rock and metal label.

UNTAMED LAND explores yet uncharted territory, evoking the sound and atmosphere of classic Spaghetti Western soundtracks with a crushing black metal foundation. Based in Akron, Ohio, USA, Patrick Kern, the exceptional mind behind UNTAMED LAND, merges the seemingly infinite sonic environment of the Wild West with crushing rhythms and the sweeping force of cinematic scores à la Ennio Morricone.

Now, after releasing their debut album, Between The Winds, in 2018, UNTAMED LAND is currently working on their second full-length album – more to be announced soon.

Patrick Kern of UNTAMED LAND states:

“I'm incredibly honored and excited to be working with this legendary label. Napalm Records has worked with so many amazing bands and has been an enduring part of the story of metal music. To have the opportunity to be a part of this legacy is absolutely unbelievable and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported this project. Stay tuned for a new adventure coming soon.”

Napalm Records A&R Sebastian Muench states:

“UNTAMED LAND is one of the most exciting new bands we came across in recent years and is a perfect blend of Summoning, Caladan Brood with a touch of a post-apocalyptic world feel in the style of the Marshall Bravestarr TV-series. Welcome to the Napalm family!”

FUNEBRE RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "OLD DIMENSIONS"

PRESS RELEASE:

Colombian post-Black metal act Fúnebre have published a lyric video for the track "Old Dimensions”, which is taken off from "The Void" EP, released earlier this year by HateWorks. This is an introspective and reflective song, driven by eclectic guitars and melancholic melodies.

The video was produced by HateWorks' in-house creative department, HateWorks OPS, with original footage shot by the band and the label team. It is a reflection on loneliness through nihilistic and misanthropic landscapes, closely following the concept of the EP.

“Post Tenebras Lux” is the second album by Blackened Doom / Noise project LACOLPA. After the debut album “Mea Maxima Culpa”, which was released to critical acclaim in 2017 and ended up being featured in many album of the year charts by the likes of Cvlt Nation and The Wire Magazine amongst many others, LaColpa are back with their highly anticipated sophomore release.

“Post Tenebras Lux” is a monolithically dark and ominous album, showcasing how the band’s distinctive Doom / Noise sound has ultimately shapeshifted into something monstrously heavier and sludgier, all the while experimenting with some of the most painful soundscapes of improvisational noise and drone metal.

The end result is a 44 minutes long nightmare evoking menacing visions of pain, whilst the echo of our laments bounces around the infinite walls of Nothingness. Thematically, this new album outlines LaColpa’s philosophy of pain, deeply rooted in the human condition of eternal suffering.

Agony is the only hope for transcendence, and yet here faith is worth nothing, because crosses are invisible and only pain is real. Accepting defeat, embracing pain, becoming a martyr won’t lead to any illumination - but to the realisation that our existence is only an error, a mistake, a sin performed by God himself in the act of projecting an image of his real self upon us.

LaColpa was founded in 2014 by Andrea Moio (Utøya), Cecco Testa (Cropcircle), Davide Boeri (ex Septycal Gorge) and Davide Destro (Macabro Dio, ex Infection Code). The four piece started off as an instrumental band, until when Mario W. Gacy (Macabro Dio, Moana) joined as a singer and completed the line up.

In 2016, after releasing a self produced cd-r EP (limited to 33 hand numbered copies), the band recorded "Mea Maxima Culpa", released in 2017 by Toten Schwan Records. On the day of the Winter Solstice, 21st day of December 2020, LaColpa will release their sophomore full length album “Post Tenebras Lux” on digital and CDs via Brucia Records.

CYRAX RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "DORIAN GRAY"

PRESS RELEASE:

Experimental progressive metal outfit CYRAX launch the official lyric video for the track "Dorian Gray", taken from the upcoming album “Experiences”, due for release on 11 12 2020 via Wormholedeath/The Orchard on all digital paltforms worldwide.

All begins in 2013, when Marco Cantoni was intended to release a heavy metal album: he meets Antonio Rubuano and Paolo Musazzi, and they instantly start writing music. Based on some original Marcos’s ideas, Cyrax’s songs were written in late 2012, gradually assuming strong progressive and experimental traits. During that time a young singer, Davide De Stefano, offered important contributions in writing vocal lines and drawing the copious choirs characterizing Cyrax's music. At the beginning of 2013 Cesare Ferrari and Paolo Biocchi join the project. In march the group records its debut album, Reflections, which has been worldwide published in october 2013 by Musea. The recording sessions toke place @ RecLab Studio during march 2013. Sound engineers were Larsen Premoli (Fire Trails) and Matteo Bolzoni. Larsen, who also gave important keyboard contributions, appears as guest. The second album Pictures was recorded during the summer of 2014 and published by Bakerteam Records. At the beginning of 2015 Paolo Musazzi left the band. Tour started in December 2015, and after several line up changes, Cyrax are ready to release their third album,"Experiences" (mixed by Alessandro Del Vecchio) in 2020, via Wormholedeath Records.

WITHIN NOSTALGIA RELEASE "VOID AND DECAY"

PRESS RELEASE:

As the snow begins to fall across their home country of Canada, Within Nostalgia gear up to release their second album “Void and Decay”.

Formed as a creative outlet for negative emotions, Within Nostalgia came about from the desire to look into the past for a different perspective today. The band expects this offering to be received with curiosity and hopefully with an open mind. Their music, especially this album, has an immense range of genres within it, and being a two-piece collaboration, “Void and Decay” brings on a different dynamic and feel.

The tracks on this album reflect a certain time in the duo’s lives. “Void and Decay” portrays the two extremes; the void is the destined path of our society whereas the decay represents the result of the chaos in the world we live in. The lyrics come from a personal expression that encompasses many forms of emotion and observation as well as relating these things to nature. The inspiration comes from self-reflection and the reflection of the world around us, turning negative events and emotions into something relatable.

The single “Desideratum” was written by Bell shortly after the release of the last album and is the song used for the official single video. The song features heavy guitar riffs, double bass, and harsh vocals with a break just over halfway building up into a furious bridge riff. It ends with the chorus riff into a dead stop. The band explains the single further:

“Desideratum means something that is needed or wanted and lyrically it relates to the current state of society with the pandemic and that things like this are necessary to teach us a lesson and to depopulate for the better of the earth.”

The dark and thoughtful music of Within Nostalgia is recommended for fans of Woods Of Ypres, Agalloch, and My Dying Bride.

The music video for “Desideratum” can be viewed via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE

The full album “Void & Decay” comes out on December 18, 2020.
