AVERSED RELEASE "IMPERMANENT"

PRESS RELEASE:

AVERSED

Impermanent

Self-Released

19 March 2021

Boston, Massachusetts-based progressive melodic death metallers Aversed is back after its members spent the last few years focusing primarily on their other projects and high profile live opportunities. The breadth of which includes Seven Spires, a member playing live for Begat The Nephilim and another for Allegaeon/Continuum, and spending time as members of Solium Fatalis and Unflesh previously. The band's debut album, Impermanent, is due out on March 19, 2021.

With the release of Impermanent, Aversed presents a hard-to-categorize metal experience cultivated of unprecedented beauty and torment. The third release following 2011’s self-titled EP and 2016’s Renewal EP, Impermanent marks a turning point for the New England scene veterans as they pivot from melodic death metal towards a nuanced balance of blackened and orchestral melodic metal.

Mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Shadow Of Intent), Impermanent illustrates Aversed’s unique approach to songwriting with nine diverse compositions full of catchy hooks and vast melodies.

Aversed - Impermanent will appeal to fans of bands that have influenced the release which includes Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Nightwish, Allegaeon, Ne Obliviscaris, The Gathering, In Flames, and many more!

Aversed comments

The album presents our own struggles with anxiety and depression reflected on the backdrop of environmental collapse on Earth.  However, like the changing mind, we present this inevitable human destruction as a chance for a beautiful rebirth, a chance for new life to flourish.  We attempted to portray this imagery by combining the violence of death and black metal with the lighthearted beauty of rock & roll, blues, and classical.

These songs reflect overwhelming anger at both the natural and human world for crumbling around us and at ourselves for not doing enough to stop it.  The pockets of beauty within this catastrophe, however, are what makes creating art worth it.   We intentionally took almost two years to record this beast in order to perfect every little component, all the way down to individual ghost notes and tiny ambiances, and the result irrefutably demonstrates that musical collaboration is greater than the sum of its parts.  Creating this art has been transformative and I hope you enjoy this spiral into impermanence with us."

Aversed is:

Alden Marchand - guitars

FULLMINATOR RELEASE VIDEO FOR "OMNIPLASM"

PRESS RELEASE:

Hailing from Puerto Rico or perhaps the deepest reaches of outer space, thrash quintet Fullminator are unleashing a video for their new track "Omniplasm" on our unsuspecting planet.

The band relayed the following transmission from their dank basement practice space, er, starship:

"Behold, a holographic visualizer for the title track of our latest EP ‘OMNIPLASM’! Sent to us by our friends from the Alpha Centauri solar system. Making waves all across the galaxy, baby!"

About Fullminator

With a sound rooted in the punky origins of thrash, Fullminator (who say they are from Puerto Rico, but we know better) pack 17 minutes of non-stop riffing into five songs on their third release Omniplasm.

These beings may have come from outer space, but they have certainly learned Earthly customs of metal and shock rock well: they’ve studied the works of Anthrax, Overkill, and GWAR, and blended it into a fury of notes and blasts. There’s no messing around on each opener as they get down to the nitty gritty of thrashing, especially on first track “Artificial Immolator (AI)”. Each song comes equipped with a ripping solo from  Cyber Zurrfex , backed up handily by the triple-rhythm attack of Superintended Kiununtriux, Enforcer Blowmiux and Commissar Gartallax. The guitar even takes on a punky tone on “Perihelion,” but nothing stops the hyper-speed playing.

Meanwhile, front-and-center, Reptilian Deluxe is a charismatic vocalist as he barrels through lyrics ranging from sociopolitical commentary (“Politicians got me wishing I could fire every one into the depths of outer space”) to explaining their origin story as they attempt to defeat the evil Colonel Roach (“Omniplasm”). But in case all of that seems too heavy, Fullminator remind us that sometimes it’s about letting your hair down and partying hard -- to that end, the band includes a cover of Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right” which has been completely redone in Fullminator’s own style to round out the blast through time and space. It’s also a great representation of the band’s live shows, which are replete with lasers and giant robot battles in the pit.

Despite its brief runtime, Omniplasm has plenty to lap up for thrash enthusiasts. For a band who have already managed to support DRI and Gruesome only a few years into their career -- all while hiding on earth from Colonel Roach -- it’s an impressive set of achievements, of which this EP is just one more jewel in the thrash metal crown.

GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS TO RELEASE "3.6.2.4"

PRESS RELEASE:

Ghosts Of Atlantis

3.6.2.4

Black Lion Records

26 March 2021

Genre: Symphonic/Progressive Blackened Death Metal

Location: Ipswich, UK.

Black Lion Records presents the debut album, 3.6.2.4, of Ghosts of Atlantis, out March 26th on CD, Boxset, and digital formats; vinyls will be issued later this year.

Hailing from deepest, darkest Suffolk, symphonic/progressive extreme metallers Ghosts Of Atlantis (GOA) carries a wealth of experience and professionalism, featuring present and past members of Devilment, Failed Humanity, The Conflict Within, and Cold Lazarus. The band members involved have been part of labels like Nuclear Blast and Candlelight Records and endorsed by Caparison Guitars, Kemper Amps, Bare Knuckle Pickups, and Seymour Duncan. All the members have been in various bands for the last 09 years and appeared on fests such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Grasspop, Bloodstock, and Hammerfest.

Like both Cradle Of Filth and Devilment before it, the band continues the tradition and staple of the Witch County trademark sound, encompassing all that is dark, brooding, and macabre. In addition, the band takes different singing approaches, from poetic spoken word elements, full choirs, and memorable choruses to guttural destruction carried forth through the main vocals.

On the debut album, 3.6.2.4, GOA builds the lore around the mythology of ancient Greece and the lost city of Atlantis while narrating their own story, weaving historical findings and fantasy storytelling into one epic journey. The lore contains relevance to both this world and the mythological world of Atlantis. There is a valid reason behind the title, 3.6.2.4. However, the band would like the listeners to try and work out the relevance.

TRIAL ANNOUNCES "SISTERS OF THE MOON" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

On January 29th, Trial (swe) will release a new 2-track EP, Sisters of the Moon, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of Sisters of the Moon, a video teaser can be viewed at: metalblade.com/trial - where the EP can also be pre-ordered as a 7" in the following versions:

- black vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 222 copies)

- gold vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 111 copies)

The members of Trial (swe) joined forces in 2007 in Sweden, laying their previous musical endeavors to rest to create something together. Doomed by the restlessness of youth, many songs were written during their humble beginnings, but few withstood the test of time. For two years, Trial (swe) rehearsed, wrote and fought their way through hard times - until finally, in 2009, they found Linus, who was able to unite the band and become the voice of Trial (swe).

From then on, their vision became clear. The group released their first demo in 2010 - without money, proper equipment or label - which lead to a record deal for their first full-length, The Primordial Temple (2011). Determined to develop their brand of heavy metal even further, Trial (swe) wrote and recorded the Malicious Arts EP (2013), which became yet another stepping stone from where the band was to where they wanted to be. "That EP, in many ways, became our first road to liberate us from ourselves," Trial (swe) recalls. "Rising from the ashes of our former selves, we took things further beyond, which ultimately resulted in the album 'Vessel'."

After earning acclaimed reviews for Vessel (2015), Trial (swe)'s popularity continued to grow, and it wasn't long before Metal Blade Records signed the band. With plans to re-invent themselves once again, Trial (swe)'s debut for the label proved to be another step forward in their career. They took the colossus that is Motherless (2017) and headed out on the Roadkill tour together with Metal Blade comrades Ram and Portrait to conquer Europe. After the tour, the cold winds of change were blowing. On the other end of the storm, Arthur W. Andersson (ex-Air Raid) stepped forth as the new front-man of the band. Re-energized and fully focused, they entered their new phase. As the curse of the world grew stronger, they decided to reveal their new singer through their EP, Sisters of the Moon. Covers of Fleetwood Mac and Black Sabbath were recorded during the black summer of 2020, displaying new levels of Trial (swe) - traditional yet unconventional. "With 'Sisters...', we decided to pay tribute to one of the biggest bands out there, the Mighty Mac. Our version is a different take than the original, filled with blazing guitar duels and piercing vocals. This is a side of Trial (swe) you've never heard before," the band explains. "For our Sabbath cover, it all made sense to record 'Die Young,'" the band continues, "as it is the most outstanding song on 'Heaven and Hell'. This one is more true to the original, and we are happy to share both of the songs with you."
