IATT RELEASE "ETHERIC REALMS OF THE NIGHT"

IATT unveil a descent into dream consciousness on Etheric Realms of the Night.


On May 8, 2026, IATT return with their most immersive and conceptually daring work to date, Etheric Realms of the Night, released through Black Lion Records. The album unfolds as a continuous narrative that explores the fragile boundary between sleep and oblivion, consciousness and illusion, life and whatever waits beyond it.

The record draws the listener into a shifting dreamscape where perception unravels and reality feels distant. Each composition functions as a chapter in a larger psychological journey, tracing the stages of descent into the subconscious and the transformations that occur there.

"Drift Away" opens the passage with gentle surrender. Acoustic textures and airy flute melodies create a sensation of weightlessness, as if the body is loosening its grip on the waking world. The music breathes, expands, and gradually dissolves any sense of physical space, guiding the listener toward the threshold between awareness and sleep.

That threshold collapses in "To Lie Beneath", where calm gives way to paralysis. Dissonant harmonies and uneasy orchestration mirror the suffocating stillness of being trapped between worlds. The album’s central tension emerges here, the human mind suspended between control and surrender. Melodic rises feel like attempts to surface, while plunging passages pull everything back into the unknown.

"Somniphobia" sharpens the emotional edge. Rhythms grow frantic, guitars turn jagged, and the atmosphere closes in. The track captures the dread of sleep itself and the exhaustion of resisting the inevitable, reflecting the psychological strain of knowing rest may lead somewhere darker. Aggressive passages collide with drifting ambience, echoing a mind divided against itself.

The nightmare fully takes form in "Pavor Nocturnus". Chaotic passages, violent shifts in dynamics, and theatrical intensity suggest unseen entities moving within the subconscious. The dream world, once surreal and mysterious, now feels hostile and aware. Sound becomes environment, and environment becomes threat.

With "Quietus", the narrative turns inward. The music carries an emotional duality, both mournful and serene. Ambiguous tonalities and expansive arrangements suggest release rather than struggle. This chapter reflects the moment where resistance fades and transcendence begins to feel inevitable.

"Walk Amongst" signals transformation. Driving rhythms and expressive lead instrumentation create the sensation of movement through an unfamiliar plane of existence. The track balances beauty and disorientation, as though the listener has crossed fully into the dream realm. The line between physical life and dream presence fades from view.

The closing piece, "Hypnos", serves as a haunting epilogue. Ambient textures and familiar melodic voices from earlier in the album return in altered form, like memories distorted by distance. Calm settles in with an undercurrent of permanence, suggesting a final state beyond return.

Across its 48 minute runtime, Etheric Realms of the Night unfolds with cinematic scope, guided by atmosphere, symbolism, and emotional momentum. Orchestral elements, unusual instrumentation, and constantly shifting sonic landscapes reinforce the sense of a single story told in seven movements.

A series of interconnected videos expands this vision, forming a continuous visual narrative that mirrors the psychological descent heard in the music. Sound and imagery move together, creating an experience designed for full immersion.

Additionally, accompanying the album is a full companion film that visually realizes the narrative behind the music. Presented as a continuous sequence of interconnected videos, the film follows a young woman struggling with insomnia who turns to sleeping pills in search of rest. As the story unfolds, she is drawn deeper into a dream world where the boundary between hallucination and reality collapses. Each chapter mirrors the psychological descent heard in the album, moving through sleep paralysis, night terrors, and encounters with mysterious dream entities before culminating in a haunting final transformation. Designed to be experienced alongside the record, the film expands Etheric Realms of the Night into a unified audiovisual journey where music, symbolism, and story move together. 

With Etheric Realms of the Night, IATT venture deeper into psychological and conceptual territory, shaping a work that feels immersive, unsettling, and profoundly human. DEVORZHUM RELEASE "O KRÓLESTWIE, KTÓREGO NIGDY NIE BYLO"

DEVORZHUM is a quite fresh band on the Polish metal scene formed in 2021 where in the line-up we can find experienced musician - Szymon "Simon" Bieńkowski well-known of playing in the past in such bands as Morbus Mortifer, Supreme Lord, Vomigod, Depravity and Rigor Mortis.

Less than three years ago, the band released their debut album, "Exigens Monumentum," which was very well received by both the media and listeners. The band has been working hard on their new release and will soon release a nearly 30-minute concept mini-album that tells a dark tale, full of blood, pain, and suffering.

The Poznań-based black metal band takes us on a journey to the burning, blood-soaked Middle East. "O królestwie, którego nigdy nie było..." is a tale of suffering, death, and revenge. A story that is not a myth or a fictionalized narrative, but a long-standing reality for families, ethnic groups, and entire nations. A reality that is still largely shaped by religious fanaticism.

The new release is a four-song concept in which the band expands their music with new layers and a more complex narrative. Devorzhum develops their existing sound, but gives it even greater intensity and weight. The band does not abandon its identity, but rather pursues it further – towards greater space, tension, and emotional depth.

"O królestwie, którego nigdy nie było..." is a cohesive work both musically and thematically – raw in its message, yet more mature in its form. And this is just the beginning of a story the band is already announcing its continuation.

The music for upcoming record was recorded, mixed and mastered by Simon. Cover artwork was done by ET-40. Band logo by Kontamination Design (Akhlys, Dimmu Borgir, Taake). NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length “Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation” (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

Between 2006 and 2009, the band went through a series of line-up changes while continuing to perform live. Among their most notable appearances was “Glorifying the Great Beast” in 2009, where they shared the stage in Berlin, Germany, with bands such as Necros Christos, Kaamos, Graveyard, and others.

In 2012, NECROCCULTUS recorded another 12” EP, “Solemnelohim, Bringer Of Death”, once again released via Blood Harvest Records. Further line-up changes followed, and in 2020 the band unleashed the demo “Unburied Hellish Presences”, released by the Italian label Unholy Domain Records. Shortly after, due to the global pandemic, the band disbanded.

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, “The Afterdeath Blackness”, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

As the head of respected label Apocalyptic Witchcraft, Conor Droney is exposed to a mountain of new, extreme music on a daily basis – he’s not a man who is easily impressed. However, upon hearing the uniquely challenging sounds of Australian blackened death metal entity Hebephrenique’s Decathexis album – released in Australia last year through Gutter Prince Cabal and Brilliant Emperor Records – he knew he had to help spread this plague to an international audience. The band were promptly signed to Apocalyptic Witchcraft and a cassette and digital release of the tumultuous Decathexis is now upon us.

“Australia has long produced some of the finest bands in extreme music, and Hebephrenique were one of the best discoveries I made last year” Droney commented. “I can’t wait for the rest of the extreme metal community to experience Decathexis.”

Decathexis begins with ‘Stasis’, a passage through the veil, an admittance into the strange, unnerving otherness of Hebephrenique. The layers of existence part at your touch and each step takes you deeper into darkness, farther from the light and from all you know and understand. There is movement, sound, a shifting in the shadows…and then ‘Visions Of Magdalene’ comes crashing into life – jarring, angular, dissonance and destruction, strange, disjointed melodies clambering like crippled spiders over a framework of steel madness. And within this vortex a voice; completely in command of its distorted environment, comfortable in this mangled confluence of impossibilities. The vocals act as a focal point, Kris Wolf a ringmaster in this circus of chaos, as songs shift into different dimensions, each one more unsettling than the last; incendiary intensity giving way to fractured dreams. Each element of the Hebephrenique sound seems to work independently, following its own path, patterns and realities…yet they are pinned together, thrashing wildly against impediment and restraint, painting sonic images of cruel, strange beauty. From the forceful, serrated riffs of ‘I, Adverse’ to the leaping, irrepressible energy of ‘To Inflict Or Nurture’ nothing can be held in place. This music is liquid silver – constantly evolving and transforming – building worlds and tearing them down in the blink of an eye. Concluding, title track – ‘Decathexis’ – begins as colossal, strident death metal which then splits and splinters before slipping beneath still, dark waters, falling down magnificent descending chords, deeper and deeper. It’s a profoundly affecting experience and when silence finally returns Hebephrenique leaves you stunned and changed.

Meticulously mixed by Brendan Auld (Idle Ruin, Malignant Aura, Resin Tomb etc) and mastered by the in-demand Brad Boatwright (Corrosion Of Conformity, Devourment, Obituary etc) Decathexis has been gifted a clarity to its chaos and nuance to its power, imbuing it with the power to shock, surprise and bewilder with every listen. Teeth of Lamb is a German thrash metal band founded in 2016 by ex-Striker (GER) guitarist Wolf J., who later took over vocals. After several lineup changes, Piepsi Panic on bass and Chris Herdegen on drums have been the band's permanent lineup since 2020 which has been consolidated as three piece since 2025. VARMIA was formed in 2016 by composer Lasota with a mission of fusing black metal with musical influences that pay tribute to the ancient Baltic tribes of the historical Warmia region of northern Poland. Meanwhile, the power of the band's metal influences are enhanced by traditional ethnic instrumentation of the Baltic Rites via sounds of tagelharpa, goat horn, lyre (gęśle), tribal drums, wood tuba and krivula. The final result is a compelling mix of dark metallic sounds that channel the spirit of early Enslaved, Satyricon and Wolves in the Throne Room and folk elements that drive acts such as Wardruna and Heilung.

IVOIRE RELEASE "URAGANO"

IVOIRE announce the release of their debut album “Uragano”, due out on May 8, 2026: an emotionally devastating, intense and layered work, capable of turning the weight of pain into dense, dark and deeply immersive sonic matter.

With “Uragano”, the band shape a personal expressive language in which a solid post-metal foundation intertwines with an intricate interplay of tension and texture, opening up to further shades that include black metal elements and atmospheric passages. The result is a thick and shadowy sound, oppressive yet never static, capable of suddenly opening into waves of melancholy, rarefied passages and moments of almost contemplative suspension. It is precisely within this unstable balance between impact and fragility, fury and introspection, that the album finds its deepest identity.

“Uragano” was born in December 2021, when Nicolò Lenoci, founder of IVOIRE and, up to that point, the project’s main songwriter, decided to put a series of personal reflections into words. From that intimate yet unavoidable creative urgency, the first embryonic ideas for the songs began to emerge, eventually forming the backbone of the album. The record developed as a process of surfacing, in which inner tensions, visions and emotional fragments gradually took shape as a coherent and lacerating sonic narrative.

From a musical standpoint, the album moves between post-metal, sludge and black metal influences, alternating moments of overwhelming intensity with more rarefied and atmospheric sections. Harsh vocals intertwine with ambient passages and spoken-word moments, feeding a constant contrast between implosion and release, violence and reflection. The concept behind “Uragano” revolves around decay and the exploration of the boundary between destruction and catharsis: an imagery that does not end with the writing of the songs, but also extends into the live dimension, conceived as a natural continuation of the world evoked by the record.

The full-length features, alongside Nicolò Lenoci, Antonio Caggese on vocals and Giovanni Solazzo (Turangalila, Duocane) on drums. Further enriching the album are Fabrizio Cioce (Zolfo), appearing in the outro of “Sotto la Cenere”, and Michael Anthony Foti (Die Sünde), who wrote the lyrics for and performed vocals on “Chimera”. Together, these contributions broaden the album’s emotional scope and reinforce its collective dimension while remaining firmly rooted in a clearly defined artistic vision.

In 2025, the project finally found its definitive line-up with the permanent addition of Sebastiano Liso on guitar, Cipo (The Apulian Blues Foundation) on drums and Francesco Bizzoca (Sürd, A Violet Pine) on bass. This is the line-up with which IVOIRE present themselves today, ready to accompany the release of “Uragano” and bring its full expressive force to the stage.

With “Uragano”, IVOIRE deliver a debut that seeks no compromise: a visceral, bleak and deeply human record that descends into the cracks and turns them into sound.

Formed in Quebec City, OxE began as a solo project by guitarist Alice Simard, who sought to explore heavier, more grotesque sonic territory. After recruiting vocalist Jesse Agiomamitis in 2019 and later joining forces with German musician Popu, the project evolved into a fully collaborative, internationally connected force.

"Fugue Gnawed from the Scabbed God Cerebrum" is OxE’s most ambitious and punishing work to date, a labyrinth of warped synths, alien textures, and meticulously crafted brutality. Musically, the album pushes the band deeper into experimental territory, drawing inspiration from releases such as Nithing’s "Agonal Hymns" and Dripping’s "Disintegration of Thought Patterns During A Synthetic Mind Traveling Bliss."

“The LP is definitely the most experimental OxE release so far. Between the carnage of the main instrumentals are layers of synths and organic instrumentation that have been sonically destroyed to give everything an alien feel,” says Popu.

Lyrically, the album follows a cryptic conceptual arc centered around a mythic “godslayer” figure, an entity on a cosmic, God-of-War-esque rampage through the universe. The narrative mirrors the album’s emotional core: cold, calculated violence intertwined with themes of mental illness, mythological annihilation, and existential dread.

For the album's artwork, the band once again collaborated with acclaimed artist Mei Maro, whose surreal, folklore-infused style visually captures the album’s fusion of myth, brutality, and psychological distortion.

“We wanted something that represented all of our combined influences. Mei always delivers something incredible, and this piece ties together everything we explored on the record,” adds the band.

The album’s eleven songs carve out a relentless and disorienting sonic journey. It opens with “Conquering Divinity,” a chaotic, myth-laden assault designed to immediately destabilize the listener. “Gutted & Corpsed” delivers ferocious blasting, inhuman vocal textures, and a plunge into an underworld-like atmosphere. “Heaven’s Empty Halls” shifts into eerie, dungeon-synth-infused territory, setting the stage for the album’s final descent. The closer, “Forged in the Blackest Reaches of Blasphemy,” ties the record together with a melodic yet brutal homage to the band’s key influences. Across the journey, from the twisted melodicism of “Apotheotic Apotemnophilia” to the crushing weight of “Entombed Within the Infinite Panopticon,” the album balances experimentation with the visceral heaviness fans expect.

"With this album, we’ve done what we’ve always done, simply better. We don’t want to stray too far from our original DNA, from what makes the band who we are, but there’s always going to be progression in some direction. This record marks our longest gap between releases, which isn’t something we had in mind, but great art can’t be rushed out the door, and while it may have taken some time to materialize, I’m certain that this record will be everything fans have wanted and then some, because it certainly was for us. Each album is a learning process, and I feel as though these new tracks we’ve got, more than anything else we’ve made, have taught us invaluable lessons about who we are as people, and just how much we love music and the creative process," says vocalist Jesse.

Swords, helmets and shields can be heard in the distance once more, as Danish warriors Vanir return with their new album, “Wyrd”. As a mirror of our own time, where decisions carry the weight of future destinies, “Wyrd” invites the listener into stories of downfall and triumph, of lives lost and victories won.

The visual core of the album is brought to life by artist David Troest, whose dramatic cover depicts the Winged Hussar, one of history’s most fearsome war machines. The scene is the legendary Battle of Vienna in 1683, where the Polish cavalry forced the Ottoman Empire to retreat, halting its expansion into Europe. This clash of civilizations forms the backdrop for the song “Never Surrender”, told through the eyes of those who defended Vienna from invasion.

"The title of the song is taken from the book written by Sarah J. Maas. The lyrics are loosely based on that story. The vow of absolute loyalty and brotherhood binds us to one another until our very last breath. Later in the song, the heaviness returns, followed by beautiful melodies from keyboards and guitar, and the outro features three consecutive key modulations. BIOGRAPHY:

Horizon of Aeons is a gothic dark metal band founded in 2024, bringing together seasoned musicians from the Finnish metal scene. The band consists of Miska Lehtivuori (vocals, guitar), Ville Pekkala (guitar), Pekka Venho (bass), and Pekka Jokela (drums). These members have a rich history of playing together in various bands (Fall of the Leafe, Ablaze in Hatred, Searing Meadow, Mormânt De Snagov, Leaflet, Jackie’s Land), which laid the foundation for their cohesive and powerful sound.

Rotted Life (US) and Dawnbreed Records (Europe) announce a new vinyl and CD pressing of “Violence Inherent In The System”, the debut album by Cleveland death metal outfit NOXIS, originally released in 2024, now set for a new reissue on March 27th.

Widely praised within the underground upon its initial release, “Violence Inherent In The System” delivers eleven tracks of ferocious and twisted death metal, blending labyrinthine riffing, suffocating atmospheres and relentless aggression. From the crushing opener “Skullcrushing Defilement” to the bleak closer “Emanations of the Sick,” the album unfolds as a dense and punishing listen, confirming NOXIS as one of the most compelling names in the contemporary underground death metal scene.

Forged in a region where brutal winters and unforgiving terrain shape the character of those who endure them, Visions of Terror channel that same resilience into their sound. Blending the razor-sharp precision of melodic death metal with the crushing weight of modern metal, the band delivers a relentless sonic assault that fans of Revocation, Sylosis, and At The Gates will immediately appreciate. Their dynamic dual lead vocal attack sets them apart, creating a powerful contrast between aggression and melody that adds depth to their already explosive musical foundation.

Behind the kit, Spencer “Grizzly” Cole drives the band forward with thunderous drumming that hits with the force of an avalanche. Bassist and vocalist Josh Ballard locks in with a heavy-handed groove while delivering versatile vocal power that reinforces the band’s commanding rhythm section. Veteran guitarist and vocalist Nicholas James brings relentless riffing and memorable lead work that cuts straight to the bone, while guitarist Abraham Joseph injects modern aggression and inventive melodies that complete the quartet’s hard-hitting sound.

ETERNAL EVIL RELEASE "FOREVER FEARED"

Influenced by Thrash Metal Royalties Slayer, Kreator, Destruction, Dissection, and Exodus ‘ earlier works, ETERNAL EVIL was formed in Stockholm - Sweden in 2019. 

The band initially intended to carry on the legacy of early High energy early Classic Thrash insanity.

Following the release of the furious The Gates Beyond Mortality, ETERNAL EVIL wasted no time, immediately embarking on their quest for world domination. Carving their path through Sweden’s vast music landscape, the band quickly claimed their spotlight—opening for In Flames at the legendary Dalhalla, sharing the stage with the mighty Cavalera Brothers two nights in a row, and delivering a full-throttle set at Sweden’s largest rock gathering, the Sweden Rock Festival.

Today, with the name ETERNAL EVIL firmly etched into the minds of Scandinavian metalheads, the band has poured their entire soul and relentless dedication into their new album, 'Forever Feared'. Los Angeles extreme‑metal shapeshifters Ashen Horde return on May 1st, 2026, with "The Harvest", their fifth full‑length album and the first to feature new vocalist Karl Chamberlain (Putrefier, Alcyone, Necrotic Remains). Known for weaving black metal, death metal, prog, and 90s‑inspired grit into something unmistakably their own, Ashen Horde push their sound further than ever, embracing melody, chaos, and sharp contrasts across eight thematically linked tracks.

​Alongside the album announcement, Ashen Horde have unveiled the first single, “Entropy and Ecstasy”, a whirlwind of jagged riffs, angular Voivod‑like progressions, and Chamberlain’s soaring, chilling vocal hooks. The accompanying video represents a major milestone for the band: despite recording the entire album remotely, this is the first time the members have appeared together on camera.

The first preview to the album, “Entropy and Ecstasy,” captures the album’s core idea: finding exhilaration in collapse. The song follows a couple who thrive on the chaos of a world falling apart, a concept Portz admits was likely sparked by the early COVID lockdowns.


Guitarist and primary songwriter Trevor Portz recalls being floored by Chamberlain’s audition:

​​“I sent him a demo of ‘Entropy and Ecstasy’ with unfinished lyrics, and he sent back his take. His vocals on the line ‘how can we thrive if we expect to survive?’ still give me chills.”

​"The Harvest" marks a turning point for Ashen Horde. After a decade as a studio‑driven project, the band is preparing to play its first‑ever live shows in May, coinciding with the album’s release. It’s also the first full‑length to feature Chamberlain, whose dynamic range helped reshape the band’s sonic identity.

​While Ashen Horde’s previous four albums were tightly constructed concept records, "The Harvest" takes a different approach. Each track stands alone, yet all orbit the idea of endings, personal, societal, historical, and cosmic.

​​“I didn’t have a single story this time, but the lyrics kept circling reactions to things ending. From societal collapse to ancient rituals to the last days of Pompeii, everything tied together naturally,” explains Portz.

Musically, the album is a showcase of the band’s eclectic influences. From the opening track, “Autumnal”, a slow-burning ascent into full black‑metal fury, inspired by the Sensorio light installation in Paso Robles. “Backward Momentum” blends Opeth‑style clean‑vocal layering with 90s‑rock riffing and one of Portz’s favorite solos on the album. “Voids in the Ash” pairs grunge‑inflected vocal harmonies with hyperspeed black‑metal bursts, telling the story of Pompeii from both mortal and divine perspectives. “The Apparition” channels early death metal before spiraling into odd‑meter prog weirdness. The title track, “The Harvest,” closes the album with an apocalyptic vision inspired by Iceland’s stark landscapes and the album’s striking cover art.

The album’s cover, featuring two red skeletons locked in an eerie, autumnal tableau, was created by artist Venus Kohana, whose work Portz discovered at an art show. The imagery’s blend of beauty, decay, and ritual perfectly mirrors the album’s themes.

​​“I bought a print and couldn’t stop staring at it. Eventually, I realized it had to be the cover. It even inspired the lyrics to the title track.”​

For over a decade, Ashen Horde has carved out a unique place in extreme metal, refusing to be confined to any single subgenre. Rooted in black and death metal but unafraid to explore melodic prog, 90s alternative, and avant‑garde experimentation, the band appeals to fans of Opeth, Enslaved, Amorphis, Ihsahn, and metal’s more adventurous corners.

​Originally founded as a solo project by guitarist and primary songwriter Trevor Portz, Ashen Horde has evolved into a full lineup featuring vocalist Karl Chamberlain and Australian-based drummer Robin Stone (The Amenta, Convulsing).

"The Harvest" represents the band’s most dynamic, collaborative, and ambitious work to date.
