IATT RELEASE "ETHERIC REALMS OF THE NIGHT"

PRESS RELEASE:

IATT unveil a descent into dream consciousness on Etheric Realms of the Night.

On May 8, 2026, IATT return with their most immersive and conceptually daring work to date, Etheric Realms of the Night, released through Black Lion Records. The album unfolds as a continuous narrative that explores the fragile boundary between sleep and oblivion, consciousness and illusion, life and whatever waits beyond it.

The record draws the listener into a shifting dreamscape where perception unravels and reality feels distant. Each composition functions as a chapter in a larger psychological journey, tracing the stages of descent into the subconscious and the transformations that occur there.

"Drift Away" opens the passage with gentle surrender. Acoustic textures and airy flute melodies create a sensation of weightlessness, as if the body is loosening its grip on the waking world. The music breathes, expands, and gradually dissolves any sense of physical space, guiding the listener toward the threshold between awareness and sleep.

That threshold collapses in "To Lie Beneath", where calm gives way to paralysis. Dissonant harmonies and uneasy orchestration mirror the suffocating stillness of being trapped between worlds. The album’s central tension emerges here, the human mind suspended between control and surrender. Melodic rises feel like attempts to surface, while plunging passages pull everything back into the unknown.

"Somniphobia" sharpens the emotional edge. Rhythms grow frantic, guitars turn jagged, and the atmosphere closes in. The track captures the dread of sleep itself and the exhaustion of resisting the inevitable, reflecting the psychological strain of knowing rest may lead somewhere darker. Aggressive passages collide with drifting ambience, echoing a mind divided against itself.

The nightmare fully takes form in "Pavor Nocturnus". Chaotic passages, violent shifts in dynamics, and theatrical intensity suggest unseen entities moving within the subconscious. The dream world, once surreal and mysterious, now feels hostile and aware. Sound becomes environment, and environment becomes threat.

With "Quietus", the narrative turns inward. The music carries an emotional duality, both mournful and serene. Ambiguous tonalities and expansive arrangements suggest release rather than struggle. This chapter reflects the moment where resistance fades and transcendence begins to feel inevitable.

"Walk Amongst" signals transformation. Driving rhythms and expressive lead instrumentation create the sensation of movement through an unfamiliar plane of existence. The track balances beauty and disorientation, as though the listener has crossed fully into the dream realm. The line between physical life and dream presence fades from view.

The closing piece, "Hypnos", serves as a haunting epilogue. Ambient textures and familiar melodic voices from earlier in the album return in altered form, like memories distorted by distance. Calm settles in with an undercurrent of permanence, suggesting a final state beyond return.

Across its 48 minute runtime, Etheric Realms of the Night unfolds with cinematic scope, guided by atmosphere, symbolism, and emotional momentum. Orchestral elements, unusual instrumentation, and constantly shifting sonic landscapes reinforce the sense of a single story told in seven movements.

A series of interconnected videos expands this vision, forming a continuous visual narrative that mirrors the psychological descent heard in the music. Sound and imagery move together, creating an experience designed for full immersion.

Additionally, accompanying the album is a full companion film that visually realizes the narrative behind the music. Presented as a continuous sequence of interconnected videos, the film follows a young woman struggling with insomnia who turns to sleeping pills in search of rest. As the story unfolds, she is drawn deeper into a dream world where the boundary between hallucination and reality collapses. Each chapter mirrors the psychological descent heard in the album, moving through sleep paralysis, night terrors, and encounters with mysterious dream entities before culminating in a haunting final transformation. Designed to be experienced alongside the record, the film expands Etheric Realms of the Night into a unified audiovisual journey where music, symbolism, and story move together.

With Etheric Realms of the Night, IATT venture deeper into psychological and conceptual territory, shaping a work that feels immersive, unsettling, and profoundly human. The album traces the path from surrender to transformation, where dreams deepen into realms that no longer fade with morning light.

About IATT:

IATT is a Philadelphia based progressive extreme metal band known for fusing blackened aggression, technical precision, and cinematic atmosphere into immersive, concept driven works. Their sound moves between ferocity and fragility, combining intricate guitar work, dynamic rhythms, and orchestral textures to create music that feels both emotionally intense and narratively expansive.

Since forming in 2008, IATT has steadily evolved into a project defined by scope and ambition. Each release is approached as a complete experience, with recurring musical themes, symbolic instrumentation, and carefully shaped pacing that guide the listener through psychological and philosophical terrain. Their albums often explore themes such as consciousness, identity, and the tension between reality and inner worlds, expressed through layered arrangements that reward deep listening.

Records like Nomenclature and Magnum Opus established IATT as a band unafraid to stretch the boundaries of extreme metal. Jazz influenced phrasing, classical inspired orchestrations, and atmospheric passages exist alongside relentless riffing and commanding vocal performances, giving their music a multidimensional character that resists simple categorization.

A strong visual and conceptual identity also plays a central role in the band’s work. IATT frequently extend their musical narratives into interconnected visual pieces, reinforcing the emotional and symbolic weight of their albums. This unified approach reflects their belief that sound, story, and imagery can combine to create a deeply immersive artistic statement.

With each new chapter, IATT continue refining their balance of brutality, beauty, and narrative depth, standing as one of the more adventurous and forward thinking voices in modern progressive extreme metal.

WHIPWORM RELEASE "DEATH BEYOND"

PRESS RELEASE:

Los Angeles thrash/death metal duo Whipworm return with their fifth full-length album, “Death Beyond,” a conceptual journey that pushes the band’s signature blend of aggression, intensity and storytelling even further.

“Death Beyond” follows the story of a man who receives a mysterious letter describing future events that should be impossible to know. As the story unfolds, he soon realizes that the contents of the letter are not only real, but that they are guiding him toward an unimaginable destiny — a path that may lead him to challenge and ultimately usurp the throne of Death itself.

Musically, the album showcases Whipworm’s ability to merge thrash and death metal elements with relentless energy and technical precision. Crushing riffs, blistering drum assaults and dark, atmospheric passages combine to create a record that is both ferocious and cinematic in scope.

The band was formed in Los Angeles in 2020 when Travis Weinand (vocals, guitars, bass) and Dave Ferarra (drums) began writing music together during the global pandemic. What started as a way to stay musically active quickly evolved into a fully realized project with its own identity and vision.

Blending multiple metal styles seamlessly within each composition, Whipworm deliver a sound that pays tribute to the full spectrum of heavy music while maintaining their own aggressive and dynamic approach. Their music stands as a love letter to all things heavy — driven by speed, power and uncompromising intensity.

With every release the band continues to raise the bar, determined to shred harder, blast faster and push their musical boundaries further.

With “Death Beyond,” Whipworm take another decisive step forward, delivering a dark, intense and ambitious chapter in their evolving musical story.

REIGN OF ECHOS RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO "STATIC VEIN"

PRESS RELEASE:

California Modern Metal REIGN OF ECHOS' New Single “Static Vein” Dives Deep In The Struggle of Our Inner Demons

Southern California’s rising modern‑metal force Reign of Echos has released their highly anticipated second single and lyric video, “Static Vein,” recently released on March 13, 2026. The track follows the band’s January debut, “Blindside,” which introduced their signature blend of crushing heaviness, cinematic atmosphere, and emotionally charged storytelling.

Formed in 2025, Reign of Echos, featuring Randy Lee (guitar/lead vocals), Rob (bass/backing vocals), and Dustin (drums/backing vocals), has rapidly emerged as one of the most focused and creatively driven new metal acts to come out of Apple Valley in Southern California. Their chemistry was immediate, their writing process naturally seamless, and their shared vision unmistakable: to craft music that is creative, unique, powerful, driven, and relentlessly hard‑hitting.

The band aims to deliver a listening experience that feels deeply relatable, intensely energetic, and adrenaline‑charged, building not just songs but a full‑scale sonic experience. This project also marks the first time Randy has written using a 7‑string guitar, expanding the band’s tonal range and adding new depth to their evolving sound.

“Static Vein” dives deep into the universal struggle against inner demons and the lingering darkness that exists within all of us. The band describes the track as a collision of madness, tension, and hope, with the music mirroring the internal battle portrayed in the lyrics.

“Static Vein was exciting for us to release as it is more of a presentation of our style of music. The song will be relatable to a wide audience while we all have struggled with some type of inner demon,” says Lee.

Musically, the track pushes the trio into more intricate territory while maintaining the raw intensity that defines their sound. The accompanying music video amplifies the song’s themes with powerful, eye‑catching visuals that tell the story in a single, striking image.

The band’s debut single, “Blindside,” set the tone for their arrival, an explosive track born from real‑life betrayal and emotional upheaval.

“Blindside was our first song written together. The song came out so effortlessly since one of us had just encountered a betrayal that was perfect for a song lyrically and musically,” adds Lee.

With both singles now out, fans are getting their first real look into the band’s upcoming EP, featuring six of their most powerful and cohesive tracks to date, with a full album to follow. Listeners can expect raw emotion, crushing grooves, modern creative edge, and a relentless commitment to pushing their sound even further.
