THIS DAY 25 YEARS AGO: MOTÖRHEAD RELEASED "SACRIFICE"


On July 11th, 1995, Motörhead released their album "Sacrifice", the last one to feature long time guitarist Würzel on guitars and the succesor to the powerful "Bastards" from 1993. Since his departure the band adopted again the trio format from its classic era but with Mikkey Dee on drums and Phil Campbell on guitars (this will be the format from their next album "Overnight Sensation" up to the end of the band with Lemmy´s death). "Sacrifice" was recorded at Cherokee Studios, Hollywood and mixed at Aire LA Studios, Glendale. The album was Co-produced by Ryan Dorn and Motörhead and mastered at Futuredisc. Art Design & Layout for "Sacrifice" was done by DemoNet, Inc. and the band released a video for the ticle tracks of the album (you can see it below). The full "Sacrifice" tracklist is: 1. Sacrifice; 2. Sex & Death; 3. Over Your Shoulder; 4. War for War; 5. Order / Fade to Black; 6. Dog-Face Boy; 7. All Gone to Hell; 8. Make 'Em Blind; 9. Don't Waste Your Time; 10. In Another Time; 11. Out of the Sun.
