Formed in 2001 in the Brazilian city of Juiz de Fora/MG, SCENIC was active until 2005, when it played its last show.
Since then, the band had been trying to record their first demo "Before The Beginning", which was only possible in 2023, already with a new lineup, however, keeping Silvio Machado (guitars and vocals) and Marcelo Ameal (bass) from the original sanatorium, now adding Leo Schröder on the other guitar and Felipe Veiga on drums.
Scenic explores its technical Death Metal, keeping the old school of the 90's characteristic, with several influences from groups of that time, bringing a theme of questions and mental inconsistencies in its lyrics.
The band is already in the studio to record their first full album, scheduled for release in early 2024.
