On April 3, 2026, Ukrainian folk metal project ORATHANIA will release its debut album Echo Of Freedom via Archivist Records.

ORATHANIA was formed in Kyiv in 2025 by Ukrainian lirnyk-kobzar Borgvarr together with Varggoth and Karpath, veteran musicians of the Ukrainian metal scene. The project brings together traditional Ukrainian elements and heavy music without separating the two into “folk” and “metal” - both are treated as one language.

The band explores the ancient and mystical roots of Ukraine and the unbreakable spirit of a land shaped by historical trials and an unwavering belief in Ukraine’s physical and existential victory.

The band’s second single, "Nashe Svitlo", is out now, accompanied by an official lyric video, and is presented with the following message: “Today, on a day of remembrance, pain, and resilience, ORATHANIA presents ‘Our Light.’ May our light heal the bitterness of all sorrows. With gratitude to everyone who stands for and protects Ukraine. Follow Us!!! Support Us!!! Subscribe!!!”

Earlier, the band unveiled their first single, “Perun”, which rises from the image of thunder in the night sky — a symbol of strength and unbroken will. The song combines traditional instrumentation with direct, riff-driven structures and a restrained, almost ritual atmosphere.

PROTRUSION RELEASE "THE LAST SUPPURATION"

A new contagion is set to be unleashed upon the underground: The Last Suppuration, the debut full-length from Indiana death metal band PROTRUSION. Forged in filth and steeped in the fetid atmosphere of early ’90s extremity, the album is a festering monument to the genre’s most savage traditions.

Bio:

PROTRUSION are a death metal band from Lafayette, Indiana consisting of former and current members of underground acts such as Gorgasm, Sarcophagy, Human Filleted and Found Hanging. Inspired by classic Morrisound death metal recordings and other underground favorites of the early 90s, PROTRUSION have harvested a sound both new and familiar to fans of the more archaic and cryptic characteristics of early death metal.

In March 2023, PROTRUSION released a three track self-titled demo that was met with positive reception. They then went on to unleash carnage upon the attendees of many shows and festivals, including those such as the final Chicago Domination Fest in 2023 and Slam Dakota Death Fest in 2025. On January 20th, 2026 PROTRUSION announced the release details for their upcoming debut album titled: The Last Suppuration, and is set to be released on March 13th, 2026. The time of suppuration is upon us.
