Vocalist Janne Keskitalo comments:

“We are thrilled that the release day is finally here. We have been excited about seeing the reviews the album has already gotten and now it gets to be heard by all the people.

The songs of the new album ”My dystopia” are the result of a process that we like to call “the blender”. That means that any of us can compose new music and throw it to blender and try anything with it. Then we discuss about it and maybe give it a one more spin in the blender. The recording process took some time and required a lot of effort of since we wanted to experiment with the songs and sounds. Although we had no boundaries when making the album, a certain insanity and evilness travels throughout the record making it a coherent entirety. The sound of Mortyfear has changed quite a bit since earlier releases but you can hear the dark vibes that are integrated to this band as a legacy.

”You see the people whose only connection to the world is through social media. The only thing to achieve in life is popularity. For whatever the price. And others that don’t want it are freaks? I had a vision on the songs vocal line and how would I want it to sound like and to give the dissonance it needs to back up the story of living the life but hating still every part of it. We had it recorded in one take so we could capture the total insanity during the recording of it. We all connected to this song really hard. It also gave us the full push to make our sound something not so familiar and what has not be heard. We took it for a wild blender ride and gave it layers and ideas more and more until we got it down a little bit to a perfect amount of insanity and horror.”

Mortyfear was founded already in the late 90’s in Ostrobothnia, the rugged heart of Finland. Since then, the band has published several releases including EP's and one album. Band’s music is a unique mix of oppressive heaviness, hooky melodies and eerie cinematic atmosphere from your worst nightmares.

Few years ago Mortyfear renewed it’s line-up and started to work passionately on their second full-length album. During the recording process the band developed the recognizable Mortyfear sound to an even more chaotic and haunting direction and the outcome can be heard on the new album My Dystopia. Each song in the album is one of a kind and they all connect to a big dystopic story. Songs take you to the darkest corners of the human mind with their lyrics and soundscapes.

Manfrea is a 5-piece band from Moscow, Russia. Started as a black metal duo of musicians Christian Noir and Yar SWraith in 2014, the act became a full-fledged one. During this time, Manfrea has recorded 1 long-play and 1 extended play.

Leading by the people of industrial or just dormitory areas of Moscow, Manfrea brings succulent emotions from their dark hearts. There are some personal love failures, dreamings and political things — a romantic message to disappear (to all the ill-wishers), free love propaganda and musical triumph of genitals. These 5 people are going to bring some warmth in the people's hearts by heavy attack of maleficent, ethereal melodies combined with curses.

RAVENOUS RELEASE NEW ALBUM "HUBRIS"

PRESS RELEASE:

This year, Calgary’s Ravenous is giving metalheads another reason to be famished after the long musical starvation experienced around the globe. They are releasing their new full-length album “Hubris”, which continues to reminisce about a time when metal was hungry.

This will be the second full-length release, following 2019’s “Eat the Fallen”, and 2017’s “Eternal Hunger” EP. Working collaboratively, so that the strengths of each musician can stand out and compliment the others, Ravenous have grown from doing basic fist-pumping heavy metal songs into writing complex, dense, and multilayered dark symphonic power metal anthems. The band doesn’t just caw about hunger, they take lyrical inspiration from personal experiences, books, movies, games, (especially Magic: the Gathering), classic poetry, folklore, and historical events. They explain the album in their own words:

“Lyrically, the album tells 10 stories from various sources all surrounding Hubris, the notion of arrogance and the hunger for power, resulting in the demise of the story’s main characters - beneath the surface, hidden messages are scattered throughout various lyrical lines that pertain to the band’s real-life experiences. Musically, the album is the marriage of European Anthemic Power Metal and American Speed Metal, with a penchant for speed and aggression accentuating the dynamics of the music.”

“Hubris” was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström and the album artwork was done by Moch Luthfi of LuthSlaughterArt. It is recommended for fans of Blind Guardian, Falconer, and Powerwolf.

Our first glimpse into this upcoming banger is the album trailer, which can be watched right now on YouTube - https://youtu.be/GYJfhUWLPcM

“Hubris” will be released on October 22, 2021 via Feast Beast Records for North America plus Europe and for Asia via Spiritual Beast with exclusive bonus tracks.
