HUMATOR PREMIERS NEW TRACK "CURSE OF THE PHARAOH"

PRESS RELEASE:

Today HUMATOR are premiering the title track of their new album "Curse of the Pharaoh" at Toilet Ov Hell. Stream it at THIS LOCATION!

More than a decade following the release of their promising debut, Italian/German death metallers HUMATOR are finally ready to unleash their second album, "Curse of the Pharaoh".

The band have recently signed to Italian label Time To Kill Records and the album will see an official release on February 28th 2022.

The lyric video of the album's first single, "Corporal Mortification", is still available HERE!

HUMATOR manage to walk the narrow line between old school riffs reminiscent of Cannibal Corpse, Monstrosity or Sinister and solos that could be straight from a Morbid Angel album with modern production that delivers a punch and makes it fit right in with modern death metal.

Inspired by Egyptian mythology and classic fantasy, the album takes the listener on a journey of slow and heavy, fast and brutal riffing, technical solos and melodic interludes, making for a release that can be enjoyed from beginning to end without ever feeling repetitive while clearly staying true to their own style.

Album tracklist:

1. Intro

2. Anachronism

3. Djed

4. Into the Crypt

5. Sadness

6. Nynu

7. Apep

8. Corporal Mortification

9. Born to be Sacrificed

10. Curse of the Pharaoh

11. Arisen from the Ashes

Originally formed in Sicily in 2003 by drummer Piero Geloso and guitarist Ray Caltagirone, HUMATOR made a name for themselves since their inception playing alongside a host of well-known local acts from various genres, as well as international metal giants such as Suffocation.

In March 2008, the band released the “Anger Castles” demo, which was followed a year later by the full-length album “Memories From The Abyss“, a concept record based on the holocaust of WW2.

Shortly after the release of the album, HUMATOR moved to Germany and began the songwriting process for a new album with new guitarist Antonino Durante while performing live as much as possible, sharing the stage with bands such as Antropofagus, Screwed Death, Moronic, Debauchery, Devangelic and many other local acts.

In May 2018 Michael Bach (vocals) and Simon Moch (bass) joined the band and with this revamped line-up HUMATOR finally managed to complete work on their upcoming new album.

Line-up:

Ray Caltagirone: Rhythm Guitar

Piero Geloso: Drums

9. Endless (3:00)

Album Length: 45:16

========================================================

Track By Track Explained by the band:

The Flayed Horizon - A fast and ravenously violent song, tribal sounding beats with the most unhinged vocals on the album. The lyrics pertain to recurring dreams of utter pandaemonium.

Angel Dust - Steamroller of a song with evil groovy & alien-sounding guitar riffs. Personal lyrics based on loss.

Cheirotonia - Musically there is something tragic to this one while carrying an air of mystery. The lyrics are bitter and somewhat sarcastic, but also triumphant and empowering.

Phantom - A mid-paced heavy hitter with riffs that crawl through the walls to stalk your soul. Featuring spiteful lyrics based upon cathartic retribution

Trespasser - The most dirge-like, spiritual song on the album. Features heavy organs and lyrics dealing with intrusion into forbidden realms

In the Cold Light of Dawn - A somewhat poppy song for us, utilizing more direct, catchy hooks and a straight-up structure

Alone With You - Pummeling snakelike guitars and menacing vocals/lyrics create a violently brooding and cryptic atmosphere of betrayal

What You Came to Find - A cryptic dirge to lead you into the abyss…

Endless - A somber melody offered as a resonating conclusion

Discography:

2022 - Trespasser

2020 - Pox (single)

2018 - Grave Aperture (LP)

2014 - All Sights Affixed, Ablaze (LP)

A heavy darkness from Canada who have been stalking the unlit horizon since 2011, Idol of Fear is undeniable, undefinable. Formed out of a

necessity to make something out of the gloom that swirls around us all, Idol of Fear has been making music together for a very long time

now and dedicated themselves to honing their craft, as it is work that they do not approach lightly.

Thus far, Idol of Fear have released two full-lengths, “All Sights Affixed, Ablaze” (2014) and “Grave Aperture” (2018). A third, “Trespasser”

will come out in 2022. All contributing ideas to the creative process, Idol of Fear tracked the first two albums themselves and tend to write new material by recording as opposed to jamming it out. Every lyric relates to a personal experience, but oftentimes certain elements seem to make their way through dreams and other nebulous connection points.

When playing live, some songs are re-arranged in order to be properly executed, but for the most part Idol of Fear recreates the atmosphere that their recorded material projects - with the extra ferocity of course.

FETUS AFTERMATH RELEASE "AFTERMATH"

PRESS RELEASE:

Release Date: January 13, 2022

FFO: Slayer, S.O.D, Exciter

Location: Ottawa, Canada

From Ottawa Metal '80s - '90s by Randy Chase.

"When I was 15-16, one of my first "bands" was the kind where you've got a band logo drawn before you even have a song. We were called Assassin--just me on drums and Darcy on guitar. He was the first guitarist I ever knew who played real METAL guitar. Impressed the hell out of me. We jammed only a few times, and that was all for Assassin. All that remains is the logo (in a box somewhere). Darcy Rawlins went on to form Fetus Aftermath in 1991. By the end of the 1990s, his band released two demo tapes (1994, 1995) and an album called 'Everything Disgusting And Vile' (1999). Here's a track from the first Fetus Aftermath demo: http://goo.gl/ZZ1ACY. And a later (but still young) photo of Darcy from the Fetus Aftermath MySpace page ( https://myspace.com/fetusaftermath/). -- RC"

FETUS AFTERMATH: “THE ALTER” DEMO (1994)

“We never had the grander look of things, or else we wouldn’t have called the band what it was,” said Darcy Rawlins of his band, Fetus Aftermath, on a recent radio interview with CKCU’s ‘Meltdown.’ Love it or hate it, he added, you’ll remember it. After befriending Disciples of Power during their stay in Ottawa around 1990, Darcy and Sean McArthur followed them back to Edmonton, where Fetus Aftermath was, uh, born in 1991. Returning to Ottawa, Darcy found guitarist Ray Fortier, who in turn recruited his drummer friend, Frank. A nice bonus about Frank was that he already had a rehearsal space in the CHEZ-106 building (126 York St.) --- the mecca of the thrash and death metal scene in Ottawa at the time. In 1994, Fetus Aftermath recorded a demo at Rock’s Wonderland, just around the corner from CHEZ. The three-song cassette, called ‘The Alter’, was sold in Ottawa at Record Runner, but also distributed in other cities, with a clever distribution tracking technique: white labels for Ottawa, green for Montreal and red for Toronto. You can stream the full 1994 demo on YouTube [https://bit.ly/2D9L39i] or download it directly from F.A.'s old Angelfire (!!) website: https://bit.ly/2RxoQLm According to their 2018 Meltdown interview, Fetus Aftermath had previously been to CKCU for an interview in 1994, to promote their demo. The band was drunk and a bit unruly, apparently; a real handful for the host: “We probably gave him a heart attack,” says Darcy in the recent sober and gentlemanly interview with Dmitri on Feb. 19th last year.

You can listen to the full Fetus Aftermath interview, with music and talk about the old Ottawa metal scene of the ‘90s, here: https://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/56/36355.html

All three songs on the 1994 demo were re-recorded for their 1999 CD album on Withdrawl Records, ‘Everything Disgusting And Vile.’ The 1999 line-up of Fetus Aftermath has reunited and will likely re- appear on the Ottawa scene in 2019

Main songwriter Simon Unknowne said, "It's an interesting fit now to have two lead guitarists whose styles both work well with the band but are in stark contrast to each other in terms of their playing styles" The new track and novella will download free from the band's Facebook page, as well as being available on all digital platforms. With a slightly old school feel and an odd jazzy riff this track is quite a groovy little departure and as always, the band stick with their style of not following trends or tying themselves to any particular style, choosing to do their own thing and stay unique. The band feel they are only just getting started on their way up and promise that there are loads more great music in store!

Vocalist Jekyll Jones stated, "It was great to become friends with David after first meeting through a Soilwork interview and we became friends over time, and he soon joined as a permanent member and the addition of Rick is awesome as I actually learned to sing extreme vocals to a cassette tape of Death 's "Leprosy" and "Spiritual healing" albums back when I was a teenager!" "I also decided it would be great to get some well-known metal celebrities to do the zombie voices, for which I am very grateful for everyone getting involved with the track!"

LOCKJAW RELEASE "DEVIL IN DISGUISE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Release Date: Jan 9, 2022

FFO: Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Chimaira, Mudvayne, Slipknot

Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

The Texas metal outfit is ready to make a huge and much overdue comeback.

Lockjaw is a band based in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. he Fear. From the depth and energy of alternative rock down the impactful edge of heavy metal, there are no rules. The group has a rather long history, fueled by the friendship of the band members, who got together to form this band while in high school in the late 90s. The music scene was quite different back then, but just like today, Lockjaw was never interested in chasing trends. These talented musicians had the vision to make their own music and truly give it their all. Lockjaw started making music in 1998, and it didn’t take long for the group to be able to record and release a handful of EPs throughout the local scene. The band’s music earned a solid reputation, and Lockjaw soon grew to the ranks of excellent local bands, on stage and in the studio.

The group is on the verge of making their return with some brand-new music! The band hit the studio with famed producer Chris Collier, already well-known for his work with seminal bands such as Korn, as well as Lynch Mob, Prong, and KMX, only to mention a few. Without spoiling anything, let’s just say that these songs depict the band at its best. Instead of releasing a whole record at once, Lockjaw is set to be releasing a handful of singles throughout the years, allowing their releases to seamlessly spread over time and giving the audience a nice constant stream of content.

If you are a fan of artists such as Metallica, Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth, Opeth, and Machine Head, and Slipknot, this one is definitely going to be right up your alley. Production-wise, the band’s new music is just as exciting and crisp as you might expect from such high standards of recording and production.

Find out more about Lockjaw, and do not miss out on the band’s upcoming music, which is going to be available throughout the web’s premier digital streaming platforms.

INVERTIA RELEASE "THE QUIVER" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

Death-Industrial Metal artists INVERTIA have released The Quiver, delving into sonically intense territory while still retaining their oppressive signature sound. The Quiver is available to stream and purchase on all major digital platforms. Click the link below to purchase/stream on Bandcamp:

invertia.bandcamp.com/album/the-quiver

The Massachusetts duo have created another chapter of aggressive material within 21 minutes over four new tracks. INVERTIA tell it like they see it, with a skeptical eye, again honing in on yet another disgusting look at a world full of propaganda, mistrust and indoctrination that is revolving around you.

INVERTIA is Dave Coppola and Tim Winson, and features Tim Donovan (December Wolves, Watchmaker) guitar solo "Leading Lady."

“INVERTIA wastes no time wrenching open the spigot and then keeps the flood coursing through your bloodstream non-stop."

- J.B.

Track Listing:

  1. A Crack In The Glass

  2. We've Learned Nothing

  3. Leading Lady

  4. King of The Quiver

BIO:

Massachusetts Death-Industrial Metal duo INVERTIA (Dave Coppola/Tim Winson) can not be discredited for the lack of trying to create something wholly different from everything else. Invertia’s music ridicules the hypocrisy of cult-religious fervor with nitroglycerin and napalm shred guitars and psycho-bombastic drum programming.

The band’s 2013 self titled debut described by Metal Army America as a “bastard child of Gorgoroth” and featuring “some of low- fi jaunts Al Jourgensen (Ministry) has taken us on” is a combination of black and industrial metal which is not only aptly described as oppressive but can be flat out overwhelming.

2014 brings the release Another Scheme of the Wicked which combines a blistering 5-track assault with 5 remixes from various musical backgrounds, including Ohm Resistance veterans Justin K. Broadrick (GODFLESH, JESU), End.user (THE BLOOD OF HEROES), and Submerged (METHOD OF DEFINANCE, THE BLOOD OF HEROES). INVERTIA is holding up a mirror displaying some of the darkest paradoxes and truly terrifying segments of societies.

In 2015, INVERTIA contributed to the Science Slam Sonic Explorer’s series on the EP titled Deep Time Predator, also featuring others such as At The Gates frontman Tompa Lindberg, Submerged, Tomas Andersson of DENATA and American sound deformers ZERFALLMENSCH. The subject: a predatory fossil, a half-meter long worm with deadly jaws that lived 420 million years ago, discovered by paleontologist Mats E. Eriksson (Lund University) and appropriately named Kingnites Diamondi in tribute to the musical legacy of King Diamond. The band also was featured in two paleontology books about this project.

2016 brought us INVERTIA's full length The Biddings of Tyrants, with added elements of death metal and hardcore punk. The album as a whole, musically and lyrically, focuses on the world around us and its effect on the human psyche. However, each song is a different Bidding from a different Tyrant. The album also features the drumming of Aaron Rossi (MINISTRY, PRONG) and Kevin Talley (SUFFOCATION, DYING FETUS, SIX FEET UNDER)

October 31, 2017 (Halloween) INVERTIA returns with The Crimson Screen Vol. 1, the band’s first in a series of EPs that are thematically-based on the early days of horror films. While retaining the relentlessness and devastation that has plagued humanity throughout the years, the band has found new inspiration from the moving picture. A lyrical detour, the manner in which those early days of horror are interpreted sees the band heading down a very dark path; a crooked, detoured path into an abysmal whirlwind…

2022 sees The Quiver, another chapter of aggressive material within 21 minutes over 4 new tracks. They tell it like they see it, with a skeptical eye, again honing in on yet another disgusting look at a world full of propaganda, mistrust and indoctrination that is revolving around you.
