KILLING ADDICTION REVEAL COVER ART FOR "MIND OF A NEW GOD"

The legendary Florida Death Metal band KILLING ADDICTION are finalizing the recording of their long awaited 2nd full-length album that will see the light, again, through Xtreem Music and that will be titled "Mind of a New God" which will be released on CD, 12"LP, Cassette and Digital, next April 6th.

Following the death of guitarist and one of the original members Chad Bailey, as well as brother of vocalist/ bassist Pat Bailey, in September 2016, coinciding with the release of what is so far the most recent release of KILLING ADDICTION, the EP "Shores of Oblivion", the rest of the members continued in his memory, and in fact, the title of the new album is the same as the last song they wrote with Chad before his demise.

For the recording of "Mind of a New God", the band has returned to the same studio where they recorded their last two recordings. the Helton Music Studios. The art has been in charge of Samuel Araya, who has already done work for albums by bands like CRADLE OF FILTH, ELVENKING, DARK MOOR, etc.

Tribulation checked in with the following comment about the single "Funeral Pyre" and its video: "Here's something for the fire worshippers out there: an ode to the one that transforms and delivers, aids and burns. It's a song about sacrifice and loss and the immortality quest of heroes past. Giving form to the name, we had the help of Claudio Mario and Artax Film who contributed with their own vision of 'Funeral Pyre' - as ragged, yet stylish and clean-cut as always."

Tribulation entered Linus Björklund's Studio Ryssviken in April and exited (informally) nearly two months later. The group - guitarists Adam Zaars and Jonathan Hultén, Johannes Andersson (vocals/bass), and Oscar Leander (drums) - used the first 10 days of their studio time to rehearse. Once the bone-oil had sufficiently run its course, the group and co-producer Jamie Elton started to hammer into the rudiments of the recording process. Elton, who also serves as Tribulation's soundman and is a long-time friend, took the reins from Martin Ehrencrona, who helmed the 2018 Down Below sessions. Together, they crafted a well-appointed production, one that's luxuriously grim and auricularly inviting. Where the Gloom Becomes Sound was then given to Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein) to mix at Psalm Studios. Once the mixing was finished - Dalgety would send over versions from his studio in Wales - Tribulation re-enlisted Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios in Stockholm to master.

The band's resulting fifth full-length indisputably elevates the Swedes to the highest echelons. The source of their glinting darkness: a yawning, bottomless rift deep within. "We immersed ourselves in the world of myth and magic," says Zaars. "With a specific focus on elemental magic, and the elements, in general, from both the Western and Indian esoteric traditions, not the Buddhist four elements but the five elements. Myth and magic are obviously not something new in the world of Tribulation, but it got a bit more specific on this album. We just present it from a slightly different perspective."

Where the Gloom Becomes Sound isn't representative of monumental change, but rather the accrual of ambition over time in conjunction with continued exposure to and profound experiments with crossroads devilry. Being their most expressive and inventive album to-date, where it will take them is only to greatness and with reverence.

INCARCERATION RELEASE "EMPIRICISM" EP + NEW VIDEO

Today, Brazilian/German Death Metal quartet INCARCERATION premieres the new video "Psychic Totality" at Cvlt Nation. Get obliterated HERE!

The band will soon be releasing their much anticipated new EP, "Empiricism" worldwide on April 16th, 2021 on vinyl, CD, and cassette.

With 21 minutes, the record presents four brand new tracks and officially introduces the two new guitarists Pedro Capaça (Violator) and Alex Obscured (Speedwhore, Obscured by Evil).

The cover illustration was signed by Rodrigo Salvatierra, and each song has its own illustration by Jenglot Hitam. It is the band's most creative and audacious - yet raw - production to date. The rawness achieved breaks with modern standards, so the material is recommended especially to underground extreme '80's demo-tape' worshippers.

Daniel da Silva (vocals/bass) paints the context: “CATHARSIS (2016) aimed to clean our 'Selves' through transmutation in the form of extreme art. It worked beyond expectations, and the harvest was generous. Micha and I transformed the reality around ourselves through our music and wild artistic and personal ambitions were achieved. EMPIRICISM (2021) is about the wisdom acquired through this journey. The experience was now embraced as a hermetic yet boundless artistic challenge, and from a solid duo line-up, we turned INCARCERATION into a quartet, focused on delivering together our most audacious sonic visions and concepts to date. Thanks to the honorable addition of our new guitarists Pedro Capaça (Violator) and Alex Obscured (Obscured by Evil, Speedwhore), we recorded/mixed everything by ourselves, alone, in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alex mixed and analog mastered our efforts, resulting in our most natural and raw production to date. Our crude and most aggressive emanations purposely reflecting the rawness of existence, and quoting Kundera, reflecting ‘the sketch that is our life’".

Michael Koch (drums) synthesizes: “The concept of Empiricism deals with our personal journey towards the inevitable and all therein that may be explored. A catalyst from the depths of the subconsciousness. Through conquest and manifestation of the mind inside a dying vessel, we want to strengthen the passion and willpower in the here and now. It is a monumental Fragment that reflects our pilgrimage into the nucleus of our individual existence. Liberate / Transmutate / Remanifest”.

Italian horror death metallers TENEBRO sign with Xtreem Music for their debut album to be released next summer. The band will see their debut "Demo 2019" plus the new released cassette EP "Liberaci dal Male", both on CD format on February 23rd through Xtreem Music.

TENEBRO is a Horror Glorifying Death Metal band from Italy. Inspired and influenced by Italian horror cult movies from the 70/80's. The horrendous concept comes from Il Beccamorto's (aka Mortician in English) long-lived family business of funeral directors which they are handing down since 1949.

After some problems and due to illegal activities of their early line-up, they never officially recorded anything. Il Becchino has been forced to stop immediately the project. During last years, he started to write music again that was recorded in 2019 with the help of Il Beccamorto. So, "Demo 2019" was born in March of the same year.

After a short time from the release, Il Beccamorto officially joined to the band. TENEBRO just released a new 3-song EP called "Liberaci dal Male" on cassette format on December 25th, 2020 and will be released on CD format together with "Demo 2019" in February 2021 through Xtreem Music.
