COGAS PREMIER NEW SINGLE "ETTAGRAMMA"

London (UK) based extreme metal stalwarts COGAS announced their debut album, entitled “Unconscious Sons of the Reptile God”. The album will be released on September 17th 2021.

Spewed from a place of utter anxiety, extreme metal harbingers COGAS impose a new strain of dark death-black metal annihilation entirely their own, stitching together the timeless brutality of old school death metal and the transformative sonic bedlam of the current visionary black metal crop, to create a majestic and emotive extreme metal behemoth of epic magnitude.

Weaving together layers of dense textures, ceremonial rhythms and looming atmospheres, COGAS excels at the art of organized chaos through sound. Across this new material the London-based band blends elements of extreme metal and macabre stories of Sardinian witchcraft (the Italian island is the homeland of two of the band members - frontman Piero Mura and guitarist Davide Ambu) with ambient explorations, epic sensibilities and grinding walls of sound that defy categorization.

After releasing a couple of very well received EPs, COGAS have come up with their debut full-length which sets new standards for the band. Everything is immaculately executed, right from the artwork to the production, ensuring that their much awaited release doesn't leave anything to be desired.

“Unconscious Sons of the Reptile God” is a journey through the flesh that turns into spirit.

A metaphor about how little earthly power can do compared to the fate that rule our universe.

Despite this, the album is a glorification of both as the tracklist is in fact divided into two narrative parts.

The first part of the concept sees a material being allowed to enter and enjoy such universe, unaware of the consequences of the actions. The second part revolves around the being’s realisation of their inferiority in front of the entity from which they have drawn their power, accepting the destiny aware of having been deceived, but nevertheless not regretting having walked this path.

“Unconscious Sons of the Reptile God” could be sum up as a story about a case of Stockholm Syndrome’s condition with the Devil and our Coga (Sardinian witch) as key players.

SILENCED MINSTREL TO RELEASE "VOLUME 666"

Silenced Minstrel (age 44 years, born Saiful Nizam Shukor, 28th March 1976) is a full time singer, songwriter musician from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Been playing music since 1991 he co-founded HALUN, a gothic black metal band back in 1996, produced several demos, one EP and one LP before the badly deformed monstrosity was laid to rest in 2015. Writing and producing mostly in his bedroom studio nicknamed “Sky Panacea Enterprise” he spent the entire 2016 gathering writing and recording materials for his debut album “Volume 1” choosing to name it as such as to not make it sounds too rockstar-ish.

The sixth album “Volume 666” is an album that came out in August 2021 and is a continuation of the artist’s previous musical inclination, direction and concept but with an addition of a new band logo and a slightly different album cover art.

• From the Ashes

In 2013, five experienced musicians from Tyrol and Bavaria come together to indulge in the more brutal styles of Metal in INFECTED CHAOS and soon define their own style of melody, harshness and a few more modern elements.

• The Wargod rises

Already in 2015, after extensive live tests - among others as opener of the godfathers Possessed - the written material is put on record in the renowned Iguana Studios. The raw, first album "The Wake Of Ares" can bring in very good resonances worldwide and celebrates all the strengths of the still young band.

• Create! Destroy!!!

After numerous live gigs in Central Europe, INFECTED CHAOS board the studios again in 2017 only two years later to realize the second album "Killing Creator". Where the chainsaw ruled on the predecessor, the scalpel now reigns supreme. A much more differentiated sound and more complex structures characterize the new album.

• On the warpath

With two albums in the luggage INFECTED CHAOS move but once again on the live front. Numerous gigs and festivals, including the well-known Metal Days, Winterdays Of Metal and Aaargh!!! lead the band through Central and Eastern Europe, where new friendships are made, but also sacrifices are demanded ...

• The infected chaos

After turbulent years, the band finally gets back to songwriting with a renewed line-up, but this is abruptly thwarted by CoVid. The border closures prove to be a cruel test of patience, but giving up never becomes an option. Meanwhile INFECTED CHAOS are finally back in the band's own studios to finish the third album "Dead Aesthetics".

TEITAN RELEASE "VÁKUUM" EP

Teitan is a one-man project by Devi Hisgen, the lead singer and guitarist of Cthuluminati. Devi is notorious for making experimental and dark music for every project he’s involved in. Teitan was formed in 2009 by Devi and Damon Bergkotte. After releasing a demo in 2009 called ‘Dark Ritual’, Damon stopped making black metal music and with that Teitan seemed to die a sudden death like only true underground black metal projects do. But the two remained friends and after many dormant years Damon encouraged Devi to release more work under the name of Teitan. He still supported the initial idea for next level chaotic black metal madness. So Devi went to the writing table and put together the debut album, ‘Weight of the Void’, which was first released through Zwaertgevegt Records exactly ten years after the demo.

Playing and writing in black metal bands for more than a decade meant that Devi’s song writing skills were more than proficient. However, recording by himself was still a bit of a challenge, so in the following years Devi trained to record and produce all instruments himself and wrote a few songs that he kept hidden away. Subsequently he started writing for ‘Vákuum’. Once the EP was finished, Devi remixed and mastered ‘Weight of the Void’ and re- released it, following it up with a single called ‘Shadowlord’.

With Teitan, Devi has embraced the chance to write about dark scientific theories and obscure philosophers whilst experimentally implementing drone elements into very intense black metal. 2021 marks the start of a very interesting path for Teitan. Much more music will follow from here on. A gripping, intense and unique sound in a vast world of underground black metal.
