DEATHWISH has emerged from the stark, unforgiving landscapes of northern Wisconsin as a beacon of thrashy hardcore punk, wielding a sound reminiscent of an even more ferocious MOTORHEAD. Since their formation in 2014, the band has relentlessly pushed the boundaries of sonic energy, culminating in their latest and most ambitious project to date, The Fourth Horseman.

Scheduled for release on June 7th and available on Beer City Records, The Fourth Horseman stands as DEATHWISH's declaration of sonic warfare, blending elements of metal, hardcore, and rock n' roll punk into a formidable assault on the senses. This album not only showcases the band's evolution but also delves into deeply personal territory, with the title track reflecting on themes of death, rebirth, and the indomitable human spirit against the odds.

The album was recorded and mixed by Marc Birr at Carp Town Studios, with Nick Weyers assisting in the mixing process and Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording handling the lead guitar tracks. Mastered by Joel Grind and featuring cover art by Merikis, The Fourth Horseman represents a collaborative effort that bridges raw emotion with technical prowess. DEATHWISH's lineup for this monumental release includes Bitty on bass and vocals, Guinea Pig Champion on guitar and vocals, K. Lexau Alter on lead guitar, and S.W. Macleod on drums, each contributing to the album's visceral impact.

DARKNESS EVEYWHERE RELEASE SINGLE AND VIDEO FOR "THE ARCHITECT OF MISERY"

Oakland, California-based melodic death metal outfit DARKNESS EVERYWHERE presents the second single from their debut album, To Conquer Eternal Damnation, nearing release in May via Creator-Destructor Records. The new song and its corresponding video, “The Architect Of Misery,” features guest vocals from Laura Nichol of Light This City.

Unstoppable and unflinching from the first note, DARKNESS EVERYWHERE’s To Conquer Eternal Damnation delivers ten volatile tracks, burning with the patented early-1990s Gothenburg sound, adrenalized with merciless high-tempo executions forged by the second wave bands of the style, citing The Haunted, Dimension Zero, Carcass, and Hypocrisy. With zero ballads or filler tracks, and no venturing off-course, through every minute of the album, DARKNESS EVERYWHERE stays intensely focused on decimating their target: the listener.

To Conquer Eternal Damnation was produced, mixed, mastered by the band’s own Zack Ohren at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland and completed with artwork by Adam Burke and photography by Joe Calixto. The track “The Architect Of Misery” features guest vocals from Laura Nichol of Light This City, which arrives through an incinerating new video filmed by Kevin Burleigh, edited and produced by Alessandro Pulisci/Ugly Owl Films.

Founding vocalist/guitarist Ben Murray states, “We’re thrilled to share the second single from the new album, featuring my best friend and life-long bandmate, Laura Nichol of Light This City on guest vocals. While Laura did a feature on our debut EP as well, we wanted to bring her back for a heavier song on the new full-length album and decided to have her as a guest on the darkest/heaviest song on the record. I really love the result, and she killed it as always. I hope fans of both bands dig the track!”

DARKNESS EVERYWHERE formed as a trio in late 2020 with the goal of writing songs heavily influenced by the classic mid-1990s Swedish melodic death metal sound. However, this isn’t the individual members’ first time around the block when it comes to melodic death metal. Founding vocalist/guitarist/drummer Ben Murray is a founding member of Bay Area band Light This City, as well as being the owner Creator-Destructor Records, and now also a member of A Wilhelm Scream. Guitarist Cameron Stucky is a member of symphonic melodic metal act Crepuscle. Bassist Zack Ohren recorded and produced all of Light This City’s albums throughout the past twenty years and continues to be one of the leading metal producers in the industry, having worked with Machine Head, All Shall Perish, Animosity, Decapitation, Suffocation, and many more. Drummer Garrett Garvey fleshes out the now four-piece lineup of DARKNESS EVERYWHERE.

The glory years of early In Flames, At the Gates, and Dark Tranquillity are what largely inform the sound and aesthetic of DARKNESS EVERYWHERE. The core of the band is built on the feel of those legendary records, while offering a refreshing take on the no frills melodic death metal sound akin to the output of modern outfits Horrendous, Majesties, and Upon Stone. The band wastes no time in getting to the point of melodic death metal riffing and driving, thrashing tempos. Preceded by their 2022 debut EP, The Seventh Circle, and 2023 standalone single “The Glow Of Haunted Existence,” To Conquer Eternal Damnation is the band’s first full-length venture.

California post-metal alchemists O ZORN! is pleased to unveil their video for “Slow Mood.” Now playing at Everything Is Noise, the track comes by way of the band’s acclaimed Vermillion Haze full-length, released last month via Hard Drugs/Seeing Red Records.

Based in Long Beach, O ZORN! is led by enigmatic frontman Bill Kielty, a charismatic and confident performer that sits somewhere between Rob Zombie and James Hetfield in his delivery and is completed by the exceptional guitar talents of Justin Suitor, the rolling thunder of bassist Justin Morales, and powerhouse drummer Derek Eglit. Together, the O ZORN! collective creates the unmistakable, thumping groove that has begun to capture the hearts and minds of metal fans throughout the scene since the band formed in 2013.

Writes Everything Is Noise, “‘Slow Mood’ is carried by a doomy riff that King Buzzo would be proud of as the drums summon fault line tremors. ‘I wanted a social life/I wanted the long goodbyes,’ Kielty laments, his voice carrying a tinge of Layne Staley’s croon and Troy Sanders’ gravel. The video features the band playing in a Vermillion Haze-d alien world, aglow with mysterious neon blue shapes and columns. The imagery inspires a feeling of alienation and mystery. The bridge takes on more melancholy guitar leads before the chorus ramps up the down-tuned energy. The cerulean mood of the guitar solo leads to a multi-layered vocal climax that steals the show…”

São Paulo-based old-school thrashers Sacrifix debut their new lineup and release the very first official music video.

"Rotten", one of the more aggressive and violent songs from the band's second album, "Killing Machine", released in the second half of last year, was chosen to introduce this new phase and the band's lineup, which now consists of Diego Domingos on guitar, Filippe Tonini (bass, WarAge, Carraz), Fábio Moysés (drums, The Anger, Malevolent Age, Pigmachine, Distância Social, ex-Chaosfear, ex-Genocídio), alongside founding member Frank Gasparotto (vocals/guitar)

The lyrics of "Rotten" were inspired by the daily horrors of millions of innocent people dying in wars because of human stupidity, while those interested sit in their comfortable homes, sipping champagne and deciding their fate. Nothing could be more appropriate than to bring the human factor into the music video and show the atmosphere of chaos and energy of a Sacrifix show!

"The crowd was amazing. It was a lot of fun. Everyone got into the chaos vibe", said Filippe Tonini. "On the day we filmed it, we felt like a real concert because we shot the footage while the band was playing live, no lip-syncing, just pure intensity", added Diego Domingos. "I felt like I was officially debuting as a Sacrifix drummer. The videographers were excellent, the crowd was hyped, friends, fans, it was very special for me", concluded Fábio Moysés.

Leader Frank proudly commented on the final result of "Rotten": "It was difficult at first because we were trying to lip-sync the music, but we're neither actors nor a lip-sync band. So we just turned everything on and chaos ensued. We just have to thank everyone who was involved, especially Cátia from the Bolivian Rock Cultural Institute for giving us the space to do our 'Toxic Waltz' (laughs)."

"Killing Machine", like its previous release "World Decay 19", has been highly acclaimed by the Brazilian and international press. Available on all digital platforms, the album is also sold on physical CD through partnerships with Impaled Records, Sangue Underground Records, Gerunda Produções, Artes Negras, Rocketz Records, Cossoco Records and Gate Of Doom Records.

According to Sacrifix 2020's founding premise, the band's sound is and always will be old-school, heavy, chaotic, cruel and devastating. "We want to respect the origins of Thrash Metal, keep the trendsetters awake and keep the grown-ups separated from the kids", concludes Frank.

Altamira was formed in 2021 at Madrid, Spain by Alejandro Obregon Bauluz (vocals), Edu Zaballos Cabala (guitars), Gabriel Serrano (bass) and Jorge Durante (drums).
