TESTAMENT RELEASE VIDEO FOR "CURSE OF OSIRIS"

Bay area thrash metal giants TESTAMENT unleashed their highly acclaimed thirteenth studio album, Titans Of Creation, via Nuclear Blast in 2020.

Today, TESTAMENT is proud to announce they will release a Titans Of Creation Video Album on September 9th via Nuclear Blast Records. The limited-edition collectible features performance videos of all the tracks on the record. The footage was compiled at a soundstage in San Francisco and was edited into music video-style clips that will be available on Blu-Ray accompanying the CD with bonus photos and liner notes plus a button and sticker in a longbox. Staying true to the record, the performances feature Gene Hoglan behind the kit! This version will be limited to 6,500 units worldwide.

It almost didn’t happen as we got the news from Gene that he was going to go his separate way, but we left on a good note and we agreed that we should nail this last idea I think it came out really killer & can’t wait for everybody to see it! We kept it simple, and added a couple of visual elements on some songs for a certain vibe of the song, overall great to listen to and watch us jam these new killer songs! Today also marks the kick-off of the band's European run. The trek includes almost a dozen club shows to fill the gaps between their numerous 2022 Summer Festival appearances, which will include some of the biggest and most renowned metal fests across the continent. The club shows will see the band joined by their peers and legends in their own right, EXODUS, and HEATHEN, as well as DEATH ANGEL.

The band has just released their latest EP "Supreme Influence" last March.

As the band says:

Supreme Influence was created in the pandemic context, it was a challenge for all members but we pull it off for the passion that we love to do, music.

The influences were the classics brutal and death metal sounds, from this decade specially, like Dying Fetus, Defeated Sanity, Decapitated, Abominable Putridity, Pathology, etc. adding some techdeath riffs and putting our own style, the latin style.

SOULFLY RELEASE ANIMATED VIDEO FOR "FILTH UPON FILTH"

Underground icon, extreme metal trailblazer, third world warrior, and leader of a diverse and dedicated tribe, Max Cavalera not only survives but thrives, blasting out riff after killer riff. The same voice, body, and spirit which launched SOULFLY in 1997 summons impossibly heavy noise to this day, throwing down ten slabs of monstrous music on the band's twelfth album, Totem which will be released via Nuclear Blast on August 5th.

Totem was recorded at Platinum Underground in Mesa Arizona by John Aquilino and Arthur Rizk with assistance from John Powers. Produced by Max alongside Arthur Rizk (KREATOR, MUNICIPAL WASTE, CODE ORANGE), the album boasts guest appearances from John Powers (ETERNAL CHAMPION), Chris Ulsh (POWER TRIP), and John Tardy (OBITUARY). Arthur Rizk was also responsible for playing lead guitar on the record. The artwork for the album was created by James Bousema.

THE OCCULT RELEASE "THE OCCULT" ALBUM

Montreal's The Occult is rock n’ roll that has strong punk vibes along with catchy choruses, upbeat riffs, and a passionate attitude that emanates throughout each of the thirteen songs on their forthcoming self-titled debut. It’s been a long time coming, vocalist/songwriter Eric Savanis wrote the first track in 2011 and released it along with another single a couple of years back. It is now time for a solid offering of his material to be released to the world so that listeners can get lost in the music.

The band’s lyrics usually take a darker turn, approaching murder, disdain for religion and politics, however on “Planet Pisces”, the words stake a journey into the metaphysical as Savanis comments on:

“Students of Astrology know that one of the Piscean traits, that people born under this sign exhibit, is self-deception. Take that concept, blow it up by a thousand and you have Planet Pisces, a tale of insanity and contradictions. Musically there’s punk and some aspects of death metal. The Lord Fez Khan, formerly of Crosstitution, now in Double Cross, guest screams on this song. I don’t see this song as a traditionally sounding single but decided it was better to put something out than nothing at all since we were still looking for a drummer at the time.”

For The Occult, the genesis of the song is usually a vocal melody, in which vocalist/songwriter Eric Savanis tries to pinpoint a mood. Once that occurs the lyrics start to reveal themselves and a symbiosis occurs. It works the same way if the music is written first. If the riffs are dark or heavy, then the lyrical content has to match. Having written all the material for the bulk of eight albums or so, he says that this upcoming record is dark, but does permeate celebratory insanity that is obvious to fans of bands like The Misfits and The Ramones who have a playful yet dark sense of humour.

The gritty and relentless punky rock n’ roll is recommended for fans of Life of Agony, Misfits, and Guns N' Roses.

SOBERNOT RELEASE "DESTROY"

The Chilean metallers SOBERNOT, which perform a hybrid mix of the bombastic Technical Thrash Metal with lots of Groove, also touches of Latin rhythms and elements of Progressive Metal, have released "Destroy", the long-awaited second album that brings 10 tracks oozing powerful lyrics, choruses to sing along, melody, above average technique, adrenaline and most importantly: lot’s of 'feeling'!

"Destroy" continues on the path paved by 2018's debut album "Silent Conspiracy", keeping the technical, complex and hallucinated riffs as a unique identity, reminding us almost instantly of the genius Jeff Waters (Annihilator), for example. Besides, another remarkable characteristic of their sound is the perfect balance between clean and guttural vocals, which unite aggressiveness and melody.

Co-produced by Franco Gabelo (Chile), Pablo La'Ronde and the band itself, mastered at Fascination Street Studios (Sweden) by renowned producer Tony Lindgren (Sepultura, Opeth, Kreator), "Destroy" makes the listener feel the energy and weight overflowing through the speakers in a direct invitation to the mosh. "We've grown a lot as musicians and songwriters, and that shows up very evident in "Destroy", our "pandemic child", since initially our the idea was to record just an EP. With time to spare on pandemic we created more songs and incorporated many influences, references, different techniques and rhythms that worked perfectly. Thrash, Heavy, Death, Prog, Groove, and even Nu-Metal are easily perceived, which makes it very difficult for those who like to label things (laughs). This album is made and was made by those who really love different kinds of Metal, and with the production by Franco Gabelo, mastering by the renowned Tony Lindgren and cover by Sandeev Reehal I consider it the best work I've recorded so far", commented César "Vaigor" Vigouroux (vocals).

"We really enjoy writing songs with 'feeling' much more than showing virtuosity, so this album will make the listener sing along with every word, solos, guitar parts, drums, melody and everything else! SOBERNOT since its formation in Santiago, Chile, in 2015, has in its discography an EP, and two studio albums, in addition to several singles releases and live albums on digital platforms, so experience they really have to spare. They have already shared the stage with the Americans of Havok in June 2018, with the Spanish thrashers of Crisix in December of the same year, and in the following year shared the same stage with three most emblematic exponents of the world's old school Thrash Metal: At War, Hirax and Exodus!
