With their third full-length, "One Way Trip", Boston, MA psychedelic hard rockers WORSHIPPER have perfected their grand balancing act between classic hard rock and old school heavy metal that is empowered to soar high with the injection of a healthy dose of psychedelia. Rock and metal are all about the hooks and riffs, and the American quartet serves out those catchy delicacies in more than generous helpings. Lyrically, WORSHIPPER take a kaleidoscopic view of the human condition through a psychedelic lens. The order of the tracks has been influenced by the psychological horror thriller "Jacob's Ladder" in which a Vietnam veteran is plagued by flashbacks and monstrous visions that added a loose circular concept to the entire album. A Forlorn Trail is a raw, experimental album which carries the listener through a dreadful journey in desolate, cold soundscapes. The tempo is slow - similar to the way the first snow falls and covers the freezing soil. The sound is set to be under-produced, primitive, and violent similar to the early 90's black metal records with screeching guitars and primitive sampling methods. Incomprehensible vocals are meant to act as an texture to the sound while also signaling the distress of the main character in the album's narrative.

Album artwork is an edited version of "Hän tähän nukkui rinnoin puhkaistuin", 1897 - 1900, by Finnish painter Albert Edelfelt (1854 - 1905).

HOMO REUS is a Peruvian Black Metal band created by Demiur and Dabaoth on April 2023. Since then these guys got involved in an intense creative process in order to release their first demo, which they prefer to envision as their first obscure opera.

Dabaoth is guitar player, leader and composer in Tenebria, Demiur is former bassist, vocalist and composer in Repugnancia and vocalist in Obscuritas (2022). All those bands have different histories in the Peruvian Death Metal underground scene. Homo Reus first and upcomming demo´s name is "Seventh Ring of Hell".

Squelch are a two piece of disgustingly soaked death metal, spawning from the ghoul infested crypts of California. DIMINISHING: Cvlt Nation Premieres “The Rats I’ve Fed” Video; The Unnamable Debut From Dark Ambient Project Formed By Yatsu And Gridfailure Members Out Now On Anti-Corporate Music

Cvlt Nation is hosting an exclusive video premiere for “The Rats I’ve Fed,” from harsh drone/post-industrial act DIMINISHING, the song found on the band’s demoralizing debut album, The Unnamable, released last year through Anti-Corporate Music.

Formed in 2019 by New York-based David Brenner (Gridfailure) and Texas-based Lane Oliver (Yatsu), DIMINISHING is a tense, emotionally devastating project that paints in shades of industrial, dark ambient, drone metal, noise, and more. On The Unnamable, semi-improvisational, destructive guitar work collides with haunting atmospherics, mechanical rhythms, and walls of cacophony to create a soul-crushing sound that resides somewhere between Godflesh, Nurse With Wound, Merzbow, Lustmord, Gnaw Their Tongues, Khanate, and Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral, while thematically exploring existential crises, anxiety in the face of the unknown, and personal failings.

Structured with a wide range of vocals, guitars, bass, keys/synth, percussion, and pedal effects, the dense tracks on The Unnamable were performed, recorded, and mixed by David Brenner and Lane Oliver, largely throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns. Mastering for the album was handled by Dan Emery at Black Matter Mastering (Kool Keith, Steve Von Till, Krieg, Thetan), and the photography, design, and visuals were created by Brenner.

As with the album’s two prior videos, the visual accompaniment for “The Rats I’ve Fed” was filmed by DIMINISHING, directed and edited by David Brenner.

Oliver writes, “‘The Rats I’ve Fed’ deals with the stress and burnout that comes with taking on more than you can handle. It’s about constantly giving yourself to things and people that give nothing in return. It’s about having your bandwidth depleted and becoming a mental wreck.”

Cvlt Nation writes, “The music of DIMINISHING is unsettling in a sonically creepy sort of way... Imagine if your whole reality was stuck on nightmare mode — this is what it’s like allowing this band into your existence.”
