Their sophomore offering "Martiris Carnívors: Himnes per a un Nou Apocalipsi" delivers rampant, ecclesiastical, Catalan-sung blackened speed/heavy metal, showcasing their profound love for the occult themes and good old '80s heavy metal. The grit-encrusted vocals, seamlessly weaving between singing, wailing and screaming, sound delightfully deranged over the compelling riffs, and inspired harmony leads truly elevate the music. While obvious nods to bands like ACCEPT, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, MERCYFUL FATE and VENOM are evident, discerning listeners will also detect influences from more underground metal stalwarts like BROCAS HELM, FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM, KAT, OZ and PAUL CHAIN. From a power trio to a savage quartet, Undo the Chains sees the band permanently adding lead guitarist Jason Schultz who had only guested on Wraith's previous releases. Jason's contribution should not be taken lightly as it adds a whole new level of musicality and virtuosity typically unseen by this style of early thrash worship. WRAITH hasn't set out to reinvent the style, or introduce some new 'core element, they only live to thrash and do it better than most. So take it for what it is and don't try to over analyze it - this is meant to be loud, fast, and fun, so stop being so damn critical and get into the pit! This is THRASH!

WRAITH RE-RELEASE "ABSOLUTE POWER"

Indiana blackened speed metal band WRAITH will re-release their album "Absolute Power" on June 12th. The album was originally released in 2019 independently and later through Redefining Darkness Records. This time, "Absolute Power" will be released in a limited special edition on CD of 300 copies that includes the band`s new EP "Index Case: The Quarantine Sessions". Finally Necropolis Records is releasing Witchery´s latest opus. This time the guys in Witchery have achieved their best record up to date. Beginning with the sound that is far better than the one in their previous efforts, specially on the guitars and drums. Here the tracks are better structured and composed, always revolving in their black/death/thrash style . There is as always some Venom and Celtic Frost influences in there but here they are more subtle than in for example "Restless and Dead". The palms here go to Richard Corpse´s guitar melodies and solos and to Patrick Jensen whose riffs are the main axis of the band.
