COUNTLESS SKIES to Release Glow on Willowtip Records
UK-based melodic death metal band COUNTLESS SKIES have joined forces with Willowtip Records for the release of their newest album, Glow. The follow-up to 2016’s full-length debut New Dawn, Glow takes the band’s progressive brand of melodeth to new heights with richly-layered instrumentation, superb musicianship and raw emotion. Thematically, Glow is based on the album’s epic title track, a 20-minute opus split into three parts.
The first single from Glow, “Summit,” has been released and is now streaming (check below).
The bulk of the album was recorded in the home studio of guitarist James Pratt. James had this to say about the process:
“It took a lot of learning and some expensive purchases, but it did have its upside. Not under the normal time constraints of being in a studio, we could take more risks, and get better performances from everyone. We also spent a lot of time adding more layers, harmonies, and even some extra instruments.”
Glow was mixed and mastered by Juho Räihä of SoundSpiral Audio. Willowtip Records will release Glow November 6 on digipak CD, digital and vinyl formats.
COUNTLESS SKIES burst onto the metal scene with their self-titled EP in late 2014. Blending progressive and darkly intense music influenced by their Scandinavian melodeth heroes, the EP received acclaim worldwide and began a flood of shows up and down their native UK with multiple highlights including an invitation to Bloodstock Open Air 2015.
Building upon their rapid momentum, the band soon caught the attention of Kolony Records, a deal was signed and the band began work on their debut full length.
New Dawn was released June 2016 and was praised “as an effortless display of bravado and musicianship in ways that I can’t soundly describe,” by USA’s New Noise Magazine and an impressive debut from the UK’s Metal Hammer. “Countless Skies have what it takes to really blossom in to something original and beautiful... a band with great skill and even greater potential,” stated Zero Tolerance Magazine.
With applause the world over following the release of New Dawn, the band embarked on a UK tour with Finland’s 'Whispered'. Several shorter tours followed including their first stints abroad, appearing at multiple European festivals such as Dark Troll Festival, Skaldenfest, and MetalDays.

Finland's PROSCRIPTION are set to release their debut full-length album on Dark Descent Records.
"Conduit" features 9 forward-thinking and insidious tracks of blackened death metal. Blending ominous melodies with scathing riffs and guttural vocals, Conduit is chaos and darkness enshrined. Dark Descent Records will release Conduit September 24 on CD, vinyl and digital formats.
Although a brand-new entity to some, PROSCRIPTION’s origins can be traced all the way to the late 90’s, back when Terry ‘Christbutcher’ Clark was still living in his native Colorado, learning to raise hell with EXCOMMUNION. A decade later, after relocating to Finland, MAVETH became his new vehicle and over the course of two demos, one album and one split CD redefined how ‘dark’ death metal ought to be and sound. And while the band’s sudden demise in 2017 took everybody by surprise, instead of resting on his laurels, Christbutcher immediately vowed to follow the same path albeit under a new flag of hate, PROSCRIPTION.
Spearheading a new, broader and even darker sound, PROSCRIPTION aren’t MAVETH Part 2, even more so since Christbutcher is here assisted by a whole new line-up,including Cruciatus from renowned DARK DESCENT alumni LANTERN who contributed to the music of ‘Thy Black Nimbus Gate’ for instance. The result is as majestic as it is menacing sounding. Simply put, this is the kind of death metal that can swallow worlds and exterminate all light.
Only preceded by one digital only demo back in 2018, their first album Conduit, recorded between March and June 2019, showcases a new side to Christbutcher’s musical prowess while retaining that suffocating yet catchy trademark touch. Almost symphonic in parts (as hinted by the poignant intro ‘Four Wings Within the Samiel’) and with a new found sense of morbid melody emphasizing even more their taste for the epic, with a track like ‘Thy Black Nimbus Gate’ almost suggesting the grand opening of the red sea itself, Conduit is not only an extension of Christbutcher’s unique vision, it expands it even more to an almost apocalyptic level. This is just the beginning...

Spawned in 2014 as a one-person death-grind project by William Bigcrow (DETHGOD, ex-Interitum), Narcissistic Necrosis has eventually evolved as a full-fledge quintet. As of February 2020, the Calgary-based ensemble now features four members: William Bigcrow on guitars and vocals, Jaden McLean on guitars, Mike Jones on Bass, and Jayden Walker on Drums. Delivering a hammering, metallic sounding guitars, grinding low-end bass, and sonic drum blasts, Narcissistic Necrosis aims to make a lasting impression.
Prior to the project evolving into a full line up, the architect William Bigcrow finished writing and recording all the songs for the upcoming debut album, The Art of Deformity. Conjuring an asphyxiating and ear-splitting presence, the band explores topics such as religious hypocrisy, narcissism, self-improvement, self-destruction, superstitious beliefs, and misanthropy throughout the record.

“Eclipse” is the first major opus by Avant-Garde Occult Black Metal project TERATOLITH.
Consisting of two parts, “Eclipse I” and “Eclipse II”, the album will release on digital,
Digipack CD and a special limited edition of cassette tapes on the 25th September 2020.
Skillfully mixing the spiteful and gelid rawness of early Black Metal with painfully obscure
layers of noise, TERATOLITH conjure through their sound both moments of fiery rage and
others of dark and misanthropic introspection.
“Eclipse” is a unique and excruciating meditation on the occult as seen through the eyes
of Death and Chaos itself.

TERATOLITH is not just a band, but an artistic initiative focused on both visual and audial
exploration of all things hidden.
Blending sonic and visual catharsis, this artistic project explores the obscure realities
behind and beyond the physical dimension.
The identity and the location of the members is not known, as all the artists taking part in
the project known as TERATOLITH want their creations to be disconnected from virtually
any other aspect of the mundane world.
