I HELVETE RELEASE COVER OF BATHORY´S "TWILIGHT OF THE GODS"

Finnish extreme metal band i Helvete has released a cover song of legendary Bathory’s "Twilight of the Gods".

"Twilight of the Gods" is the title track from the 1991 album that turned 30 years in June. Bathory was known mostly for being a one-man band, formed by Thomas “Quorthon” Forsberg. Their career ended in 2004 for Quorthon’s death by a heart attack.

i Helvete filmed a music video of the cover from their studio sessions. i Helvete’s frontman Aleksi Mäkelä comments:

“Bathory has been one of the big influences for me in my youth. Especially these band's epic Viking albums have an atmosphere that unfortunately few bands manage to achieve. The 11-minute Twilight of the Gods was a pretty ambitious song to start recording, but as I wrote the song by ear, I found myself wondering many times how it didn’t start to get boring even after a hundred listens. It was not our intention to embark on any major changes or artist liberties. We mainly wanted to update the sound of this masterpiece for this millennium. I think we managed it very well.”

i Helvete was founded in Seinäjoki in 2018. The band has previously released a double single Pimeyden Ytimessä / Umpikuja. The debut release received praise from the music media for being an original, well-produced and interesting release.

More material is coming soon. They will release their debut album SINISTEN PUIDEN NIITTY at the end of the year.

DECEADED, is a band from Poland that plays a mixture of thrash/nu metal. The band has been playing actively since 2017 and on 30.07.2021 they released their first studio album titled The Sole Destroyer.

The Sole Destroyer is essence of our anger and frustration, it’s aggressive, loud and straightforward. Hard and melodic riffs, groovy drum beats, punchy bass lines, expressive and complex vocals make The Sole Destroyer an authentic experience. Lyrics focus on disaster, stupidity and mistakes of human race.

They also warn about future of the planet and consequences of our behavior as society.

REBELLIX RELEASE NEW TRACK AND VIDEO: "SERPENT´S KISS"

Finnish metal band Rebellix is set to release their upcoming EP Serpent's Kiss on October 15th 2021 via Inverse Records. The first single, named after the EP is released today along with music video.

Vocalist/Guitarist Samuel Honkavaara comments:

"Life can be hard every so often, and sometimes it gets really fucking tough. Serpent’s Kiss is a song about this theme, on how difficult life can be at times, and how you just wanna drown your pain into a vicious lifestyle.

 

The Serpent’s Kiss is all that viciousness; Sometimes we love it, but sometimes we can't wait to get out of it."

BIOGRAPHY:

Rebellix is a Finnish melodic metal band from Helsinki, formed by Samuel Honkavaara in the end of 2016 from the ashes of other bands. Rebellix has been Rocking the underground of finnish Heavy Metal music since then, playing plenty of shows and participating to band competitions, sometimes winning some of them.

After many formation changes, Rebellix has been stable with Samuel Honkavaara as Lead guitarist and singer, Tomi Lappalainen as rhythm guitarist and Mikael Leinonen as drummer, joined then by Kimmo Keipinen on the bass.

Rebellix has released one Demo (Last Call), two singles (This is War, Fightmare) and two EP's (Final Decay, Rotten Rolls). If you ask us what we are playing, well, we'd say it's a genuine mix of modern and old school heavy metal, integrated with some cheesy elements from glam metal, and catchy choruses inspired to punk rock music.
