Music and Lyrics Death Gloom.

Hailing from the cold of Canada, it was an obvious choice for D’Octos and Nuirvuh to venture in a Doomy Black Metal project that is inspired by their motherland’s harsh climate.

This project was born in the middle of the last year's global climate, channelling early 90s doom metal’s melancholy and black metal’s rawness, to create their own sound.

Damned Ritual was born when Miguel Ángel Sicilia (drums) and David Ramírez (guitar) decided to recover a musical project which had been started some time before. Both of them had played in relevant bands of death metal scene as Allowance and Dead Means Nothing. In 2016 the band was completed with Javier Martinconera (vocals) and Álvaro Solano (Guitar).

"Hailing from the frigid, bitter metropolis that is Helsinki, Finland, Killing Frost are finally back in 2023 after releasing a highly touted demo tape a few years back. Featuring members of modern Crossover Thrash legends Foreseen, Killing Frost takes a similarly metallic approach to their Hardcore, but in a completely different way. While the material on the Self-Titled 7" is still rooted in Killing Frost's signature concoction of bands like Celtic Frost, Sheer Terror, Discharge, and Carnivore, there's a little more of an experimental feel to the 3 songs on this EP. I mean, when was the last time you heard a Hardcore record with keyboards on it? Bands in Killing Frost's lane are generally afraid to take risks and break the mold, but these Finnish boys clearly don't give a fuck about being generic or playing it safe. The centerpiece and closer "Wilkman's War II" clocks in at almost 5 minutes, and there isn't a single second where your skull isn't being pounded in by absolutely barbaric riffing and blood curdled screams. There's some very apparent Rock N Roll swagger mixed into the brutality of Killing Frost's music, making each song more memorable than the last. It would also be a crime to not mention frontman Niko Wilkman's absolutely ferocious vocal performance. He's swinging for the fences and hitting it out of the park just as Paul Bearer, John Brannon, and Jack "Choke" Kelly did before him.
