ANATHEMA: NEW ALBUM DETAILS

The band Anathema will release their album "Distant Satellites" on June 10th. The album was recorded at Cederberg Studios in Oslo with producer Christer-André Cederberg. "Distant Satellites" will be released through Kscope Records.
The band says: “Distant Satellites is the culmination of everything Anathema been working up to so far in our musical path. It contains almost every conceivable element of the heartbeat of Anathema music that it is possible to have. There is beauty, intensity, drama, quietude, and extra musical dimensions that the band has previously only hinted at. All built on the song writing chemistry of Daniel, John and Vincent - and the haunting voice of Lee Douglas.
Produced and mixed once again by our very own Christer-André Cederberg (Weather Systems, Universal) and with some songs also mixed by the unassailable Steven Wilson, it's a special and unique release for the band. Anathema hopes the fans get as much joy from listening to and feeling the music as we did in creating it.”

"Distant Satellites" tracklist is:

'The Lost Song Part 1'
'The Lost Song Part 2'
'Dusk (Dark Is Descending)'
'Ariel'
'The Lost Song Part 3'
'Anathema'
'You'Re Not Alone'
'Firelight'
'Distant Satellites'
'Take Shelter'

KATAKLYSM ANNOUNCES NEW DRUMMER

Canada´s death metal band Kataklysm has announced that Olivier Beaudoin will be the permanent drummer in the band as Max Duhamel can not play due to physical and health issues. This is the band press statement:
“We are here today to announce that Oli Beaudoin will remain behind the throne as the drummer for KATAKLYSM on the next album and future tours. Max has informed that he cannot continue or return to the ranks at this time due to physical health issues. KATAKLYSM welcomes Oli on board as we forge on. Max remains our brother and will always be a part of KATAKLYSM. Those who saw him in Montreal playing the ‘Road to Devastation’ with us at the end of the show, saw that even with severe pain the boy still has the chops to perform. We wish him well and know our paths will cross again.”

EXCITER REUNITES THEIR ORIGINAL LINEUP

Canada´s classic speed metal band Exciter will reunite their original line-up. The line-up consists in: Dan Beehler (drums, vocals), Allan Johnson (bass) and John Ricci (guitars).

John Ricci has issued this press release:
"Great news to all Exciter fans worldwide. Myself and original members Dan Beehler and Allan Johnson have officially re-united! We intend performing our bone crushing neck-snapping speed metal in as many countries that will have us! To celebrate our long anticipated reunion our first confirmed gig will be at the Keep It True festival in Lauda-Konigshofen, Germany, April 24, 2015. We hope to see you there ! Our performance will consist of all the classics that established Exciter as one of the pioneers of speed and thrash. New material and a new release will eventually follow.

I also want to comment on my so-called `retirement` which was posted on various sites on February 24th by the former Exciter members. I just want to say I never said I was going to retire. In my opinion this retirement announcement was fabricated exaggeration. What I did say is that 'I need a break from music' due to some rebellious behavior from one of the musicians in the band. So at this point all that bs is behind me and I am now focusing on delivering some new ear-splitting brain-rattling METAL with Dan and Allan!

I want to thank all the loyal and dedicated fans and music industry individuals that contacted me during this false retirement statement and offering their support and a positive outcome to a situation that was non-repairable. Hope to see you soon with horns high and fists in the air!"
