Italian Gothic-Black metal veterans CADAVERIA are pleased to be able to continue promoting their highly anticipated latest album “Emptiness” with the release of a new video for the song "The Sky That Screams Above Us", that can be watched here:

youtu.be/TIJ20jY4TDs

The simplicity of the shots, taken in the studio during the recording of the song, and the particularity of the vertical format (suitable for smartphones) come together in this new video, as another example of the synthesis of contrasts of which the band is a master.

Eleventh track from “Emptiness, an album graphically based on black and white dualism and musically characterized by the continuous chase of clean and growl vocals, by thrash metal outbursts and doom metal cadences, by black metal and classic metal riffing. Released on May 27th via Time to Kill Records “Emptiness” is the sixth album by CADAVERIA.

PANIC RE-RELEASE "EPIDEMIC"

PRESS RELEASE:

Seattle Thrashers PANIC To Reissue 30th Anniversary Vinyl Of Debut

Nov. 18th release date set; Pre-orders now available for limited-edition colored-vinyl reissue

Nov. 18th M-Theory Audio will reissue Pacific Northwest thrashers PANIC’s debut album ‘Epidemic.’ The Seattle group's 1991 release, originally issued by Metal Blade Records, was produced by the H-Team of classic EXODUS guitar duo Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt, mixed by Marc Senesac (Exodus, Sacrilege B.C.) and featuring cover artwork by Sean Wyett (Devastation, Cyclone Empire). This special anniversary edition, intended for reissue last year to celebrate the 30th mark but due to pressing plant delays instead celebrates 31, comes in revamped packaging including a 4-panel insert with liner notes, extra photos, flyers and a special code to download a copy of the band’s previous 3-song demo. Pre-orders for the upcoming reissue, limited to 300 copies on Outbreak Green vinyl, are available now at https://www.smarturl.com/panicseattle

“The band is stoked to be partnering with M-Theory to bring ‘Epidemic’ into the 21st Century,” states singer Jeff Braimes. “Marco and his team have been great to work with, and we’re as excited as anyone to hold the finished product in our hands.”

Formed in Seattle, WA in the mid-‘80s PANIC started out playing NWOBHM covers before writing originals that were heavier and groovier than their influences and defining their own sound and growing an audience over the course of four years gigging around and gaining local radio play. The band’s big break came in 1990 with a showcase at the Northwest Area Music Convention where EXODUS (and later SLAYER) guitarist Gary Holt was in attendance.  Gary, and their then-manager Toni Isabella, took the band under their wing that night and the stage was set for PANIC to record their breakout thrash masterpiece ‘Epidemic.’

Signed to Metal Blade Records, PANIC entered San Francisco’s famed Alpha & Omega Studio (owned by Sandy Pearl, manager of Blue Oyster Cult who recorded there, as well as thrash acts like Forbidden and Vio-lence) and together with the H-Team and engineer/mixer Marc Senesac their debut was captured. The album even includes a cover of the KISS classic “I Stole Your Love” with guest vocals from EXODUS singer Steve “Zetro” Souza. Upon release their video for “Blackfeather Shake” (https://youtu.be/mm2B46Zf88U) received MTV Headbangers Ball airplay, praiseworthy press came in from publications like Rip and Rolling Stone and the band spent time on the road touring in support of Coroner, Nuclear Assault, Pantera, Testament and Reverend.

Re-live the past with one of the finer thrash records of the early ‘90s, before Seattle become recognized for grunge and the promising next generation of heavy bands from there while promising acts like Panic, Bitter End and Forced Entry all faded in relative obscurity but are now primed for rediscovery and appreciation.

PANIC was:

Jeff Braimes – vocals

Martin Chandler – guitars (now of Supersuckers)

George Hernandez – bass (now in Sanctuary)

Jack Coy – drums

AND NOW THE OWLS ARE SMILING RELEASE "EPITAPH"

PRESS RELEASE:

AND NOW THE OWLS ARE SMILING - EPITAPH

LABEL: CLOBBER RECORDS

RELEASE DATE: SEPTEMBER 2nd 2022

The candle flame burns low and the shadows gather in the corners of my solitary room. They thicken and seem to edge ever closer as the last remnants of wax begin to liquefy and pool upon the table. They hunger for me and I shan’t keep them waiting for much longer. I have thought all my thoughts and recalled every smile and tear. My songs have all been sung. I stare at the last flickering of the light and for a moment I am filled with fear; it floods through me like cold, bitter sea water. And then, with a sibilant hiss the candle dies...and the shadows take me.

All things pass and all dreams eventually end. The black always waits at the end of the road. With the release of their fourth album, Epitaph, And Now The Owls Are Smiling will pass into history. Nre, the artist who has conjured up the heartbreaking sounds of solitude behind ...The Owls... name for the past six years has turned a final page and found this particular story is over. While we will all grieve for the death of this truly special project, we must also celebrate the release of Epitaph, which is surely the most emotionally powerful and utterly captivating release to bear the name of And Now The Owls Are Smiling. Nre has saved his best till last with this beautifully melancholy, enthralling collection of songs. Mournful black metal for the soul shattered and the world weary, songs like ‘The Miserable Grip Of Comfort’ will carry you across seas of tears, under grey, sorrow-painted skies and lead you through lightless forests beneath ancient boughs, bent low with the agony of centuries. Epitaph is the perfect ending for And Now The Owls Are Smiling...it’s impossible to imagine how anything could really follow in the wake of an album laden with the doomed, damned sounds of ‘There Is No Laughter Here’. This is breathtaking emptiness, desolation sculpted from sound, a heart torn open to bleed the black blood of raw emotion and frightening loneliness. The last sounds of this last album come in the form of a superb cover of Radiohead’s ‘Street Spirit (Fade Out)’, which has been drawn into the chilling twilight mists of the owls and consumed.

It has been an incredible six year journey for And Now The Owls Are Smiling, one which has seen Nre climb from peak to cloud covered peak, finally emerging at the very highest point beneath the black, star dusted heavens with Epitaph. When this offering is made on September 2nd by Clobber Records, clasp it tight your heart and never let it go. The owls will not smile again

IMPERIAL EXECRATION RELEASE "COMMANDING SATAN´S CRUSADES"

PRESS RELEASE:

Hell has added a new battalion to its armies, with brutal death metal outfit Imperial Execration poised to bring some serious heavy artillery to the ranks of the infernal host. Featuring guitarist/bassist Eduardo Camargo (Ataud, Goreinhaled, Despondency), drummer Ruben Jaramillio (Ataud, Engulfed In Abomination) and renowned extreme metal vocalist Mr Oscarnivore Macias of Carnivore Diprosopus, Imperial Execration have a history of severe sonic violence behind them...and even darker deeds lie ahead. Debut album Commanding Satan’s Crusades is ready to be unleashed and its carpet bombing fury will bring a new level of intensity to the war against the light.

Featuring six original songs of bone crushing weight and unstoppable force, along with a suitably sickening rendition of Dehumanized’s classic acerbic anthem ‘Condemned’, Commanding Satan’s Crusades takes brutal death metal into a new realm of oppressive darkness and unholy carnage. Combining a twisted technicality with merciless, unending bludgeoning, tracks like ‘Victory Of The Stygian Empire’ are utterly alien in their palpable disregard for human life. Each song has been immersed in a viscous atmosphere, a putrid poison that drips from every bestial roar and mind mangling riff. ‘His Ominous Presence’ is perfectly named as the song hangs above you, a black pool of dread gathering in the shadows of its wings. The mixing and mastering, courtesy of Tom Bradfield (Twitch Of The Death Nerve, Iniquitous Savagery, Infected Disarray etc) adds layer upon layer of absolute horror to the sound of Commanding Satan’s Crusades, ensuring that nothing this year will surpass it for nightmarish rot and scorched earth devastation.

United in a sacrilegious alliance with Comatose Music, the undead gods of disease and decay, Imperial Execration will march against the world on December 9th, with Commanding Satan’s Crusades wrapped in a shroud of stunning artwork created by John Quevedo Janssens (Fleshtorture, Paganizer, Those Who Bring The Torture etc). There is no light at the end of the tunnel, there is no redemption, no resurrection...there is only Imperial Execration!

STRANGLE WIRE RELEASE "SHAPED BY HUMAN FRAILTY"

PRESS RELEASE:

STRANGLE WIRE – SHAPED BY HUMAN FRAILTY

LABEL: GRINDSCENE RECORDS

RELEASE DATE: SEPTEMBER 30th 2022

Blind and broken, a child lost in darkness, you close your ears to the tumult of rage and spite. You carve out a sanctuary within the shadows and bind yourself in internal solitude. You exist in a womb-like void untouched by fist or foul, barbed tongue. You turn your face to the wall and your demon defender, the monster born of pain and chaos, steps outside to wreak vengeance, to channel a thousand hurts into a billion wounds of retaliation. And you sleep inside, safe from the noise, the screams and the righteous violence of retribution.

A gargantuan collision between the heaviest of death metal and the darkest of emotions, submerged in an unsettling atmosphere of grief and isolation, the debut full length album from Belfast’s Strangle Wire is a quite incredible creation. Shaped By Human Frailty is a demonstration of death metal at its most effective and affecting, with sheer power being shaped by superb song writing. The riffs are towering and intimidating, casting long shadows across a sonic landscape that has been brutalised by ceaselessly intense rhythms and ravenous, all consuming vocals. Songs like ‘Learned Wretchedness’ possess a malign magnificence that is instantly captivating, while the overwhelming burnt and blackened aura of ‘Judas Switch’ will seize your heart in a cruel and callous grip. The sound that the band have captured, with the assistance of Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, Primordial, Napalm Death) at Foel Studios is nigh on death metal perfection; the guitars rich, thick and gnarled the drums like world flattening artillery and Shaped By Human Frailty swallows you whole into its darkness, spitting out your torn remains at the cataclysmic conclusion of ‘Horrors Beneath’.  This is what death metal is all about; this is a genre defining statement that will brand the name of Strangle Wire into the minds of fans worldwide.

Four years on from their excellent EP, The Dark Triad, Strangle Wire have truly come of age and grown into their full potential. When Grindscene Records release Shaped By Human Frailty on September 30th they will be throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the death metal scene. Prepare to be destroyed and to revel in your own destruction!

STABBING RELEASE "EXTIRPATED MORTAL PROCESS"

PRESS RELEASE:

TABBING – EXTIRPATED MORTAL PROCESS

LABEL: COMATOSE MUSIC

RELEASE DATE: DECEMBER 9th 2022

The emperor of pain, the king of the twilight hours, sits enthroned in his web of nightmares. His court of shrieking devils hang about him, bound in barbed and poisoned, clinging threads; ropes of agony that inspire their cacophonous songs of praise. He reaches through the walls of sleep with his innumerable claws, scouring and scarring, infecting damaged minds with visions of depravity and wickedness. He whispers with a voice like tearing skin, planting seeds of rage and dark desire, impregnating the broken with a desperate need to kill...

Having gouged out a bloody home for themselves in the hearts of brutal death metal fans the world over with last year’s Ravenous Psychotic Onslaught EP, Texan killing machine Stabbing are back with their debut full length album. Extirpated Mortal Process is a vivid horror show of unfathomable violence, which retains the ultra-aggressive, confrontational savagery of Ravenous Psychotic Onslaught but adds a dense, suffocating atmosphere of dread. A crawling mist of overwhelming terror winds about the hammer-blow riffs and slips between the guttural vocal exhortations. The band’s signature song, ‘Stabbing’, is every bit as good as you could hope for – combining shocking, bestial brutality with instantly memorable song construction. Opening track ‘Inhaling The Dead’ heightens the tension and tightens the vice with every passing moment, before exploding into the frenzied attack of ‘Razor Wire Strangulation’, while ‘Visceral Liquid Terror’ is the perfect distillation of merciless brutality. Wherever you turn Extirpated Mortal Process confronts you with another blood chilling sonic assault. There is no escape from this labyrinth of monsters.

The sound of Extirpated Mortal Process is as staggering as the individual performances, thanks to the fantastic team assembled to work on it. The drums were recorded with Josh Vasquez of Malignant Existence at JMTX Productions, the guitars and vocals by Chris Kritikos (Oceans Of Slumber etc) at Southwing Audio and mixing and mastering duties were handled by Januaryo Hardy (Pure Wrath, Waking The Cadaver, Brodequin etc). Set to be a landmark release in brutal death metal, Stabbing’s monstrous debut album will be released by Comatose Music on December 9th, enfolded in the magnificently malicious artwork of Daemorph Art (Aborted Fetus, Black Dahlia Murder, Iron Fire etc). Gloriously grotesque in every aspect, this is one album that you cannot afford to miss; a flesh rending masterpiece that will leave you scarred.

PARIUS RELEASE "THE SIGNAL HEARD THROUGHOUT SPACE"

PRESS RELEASE:

The Signal Heard Throughout Space, the forthcoming album from Progressive Metallers PARIUS, is now streaming in its entirety, courtesy of Toilet ov Hell. Click below to Stream!

The Signal Heard Throughout Space will be the full-length debut for drummer Dan Silver, and the band's first release with keyboardist Sean Gallagher. On the new album, PARIUS deftly combines the cohesive songwriting of bands like Mastodon and Opeth with the eccentricities of bands like Mr. Bungle and The Mars Volta. Produced with the illustrious and Grammy-nominated Jamie King, the record is a bona fide, 60-minute rock opera more than twice as lengthy as 2018’s The Eldritch Realm.

On enlisting the eclectic talents of Jamie King, the band wanted the production side of their new album to be a nod to some of the classic albums of the late 70s and early 80s, such as Rush’s Hemispheres, while still freely allowing the songwriting to explore any territory the band desired.

The album concept in the band's own words:

"The Signal Heard Throughout Space is a conceptual rock opera that tells the story of a space captain who hears a distress signal, whether real or in a dream, and he sets out to find its source. The album chronicles the Captain's search as he struggles with the self-doubt that comes with trying to accomplish his goals, all while hopelessly compelled to complete his mission. He encounters a cosmic being called "The Formulator" who both helps and hinders him on his journey. The message of the album is that of perseverance in the face of adversity and developing the strength to see the goals you set for yourself through, despite the outcome.

Musically, we looked at every rock opera we could find from Jesus Christ Superstar to Ziltoid the Omniscient and ended up testing out a ton of ideas. We probably wrote 3-5 albums worth of material that we scrapped before writing most of the material that would end up on the final album. We just weren’t ready to write this big, interconnected album yet that our vocalist Louis Thierry had conceptualized - it took a couple of years.

While we anticipate that this record could estrange some of the death metal fans that we had courted with the past couple of EPs - we think that those who appreciated the more fun elements, the songwriting focus, and the depth of layers from those EPs will find that these elements are heightened on this new 60-minute album - which is in no small part due to the addition of Sean Gallagher on keyboards, and the legendary Jamie King; who co-produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered the album at his studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We just felt like it was the right time for us to try and make something unique to us that nobody else could make, and we feel like we’ve done that with The Signal Heard Throughout Space."

SPIDER GOD RELEASE "FLY IN THE TRAP"

PRESS RELEASE:

SPIDER GOD – FLY IN THE TRAP

LABEL: REPOSE RECORDS

RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 11th 2022

Was there someone there in those missing moments when you battled with your mind? Did the doors open to a ghost or a devil? Did you slip into the water to hide from the voices that had followed you from the womb, to silence the endless screams and whispers? Or were you left in the cold, wet darkness with your unseeing eyes open wide by a soulless thing that stole your laugh, your smile and your life? Or were you there at all? Only the spiders watching from their shadowed corners know...and they wrap their secrets in silk and store them with the flies.

From their unseen web Spider God have emerged, scuttling into your peripheral vision, a many-legged blackness that drips cold malice down your spine... After an array of split releases, EPs and an acclaimed collection of poisoned pop covers, the time has come for the arachnid deities to unveil their first full length album of original material – and what a breathtaking concoction of fear, confusion and madness it is! A concept album that explores the chilling mystery of Elisa Lam, the young Chinese-Canadian woman whose body was found submerged in the rooftop water tank of her LA hotel in 2013, Fly In The Trap immerses itself in the multitude of unanswered questions that surround this strange tragedy which has haunted the imaginations of so many. An onslaught of dazzlingly melodic black metal, touched with an anthemic hardcore quality, pours from the speakers in a cold torrent as the story unfolds; intimidatingly powerful yet enticing and captivating, a sound like no other. Featuring guest contributions from Revenant Marquis, Rope Sect and A Forest Of Stars, with soul-shaking drums recorded by  Mountain Man’s Patrick Murphy at the renowned God City Studios (Converge, High On Fire, Kvelertak etc ) Fly In The Trap is one of the most remarkable albums you will hear this year, or any other. Spider God draw you into their labyrinthine web of heartbreak and horror, where cold winds of loneliness and loss assail you at every step. Mixed and mastered by Will Killingsworth (Abazagorath, Dödsrit, Wolven etc) at Dead Air Studios, Fly In The Trap sounds stunning; the full hurricane force and beguiling melody of tracks like the irresistible ‘Hiroshima Mon Amour’ or the magnificent ‘The Fifty Second Murderer’ exquisitely captured, with every element of the band’s searing attack being given room to breathe, to speak and to scream.

Spider God’s previous releases – eight of them in number of course – have all been markers along the way to this moment, their electrifying shows with Lamp Of Mumuur and appearances at the Darkness Over Cumbria festival all stepping stones to this emergence. When Fly In The Trap is released on November 11th by Repose Records, with its strangely unnerving, panic-inducing artwork created by Lucas Rackliffe, the true magic of the Spider God will be revealed. Embrace the fear and prepare to stare into an abyss of secrets.

BIO

Monasterium is a Polish band founded in 2014 and dedicated to epic heavy/doom metal. All members of the brotherhood are experienced musicians sharing passion, common vision and belief in the power of traditional metal. These virtues have brought them to their eponymous first full length album released in May 2016 by No Remorse Records.

Monasterium won critical acclaim of the metal underground and was promoted live at the highly esteemed European metal festivals: Hammer Of Doom, Up The Hammers, Malta Doom Metal Festival, Doom over Vienna, and the Seeds of Doom festival.

In 2019 Monasterium released sophomore album Church Of Bones via Nine Records. While offering a broad variety in the songwriting, all eight anthems are the worship of the classic sound and stand tall in the fight for true metal.
