XENOTRONE RELEASE "INTO THE VOID"

PRESS RELEASE:

Into the Void is the debut album by the Ukrainian progressive thrash-death metal band Xenotrone.

Archivist Records has set February 21, 2025, as the international release date for Ukrainian progressive thrash metal band Xenotrone's debut full-length album, Into the Void.

From the first to the last track, the album keeps the listener immersed in an atmosphere of cosmic horror, reminding us that within the vastness of space, humanity is but dust.

Throughout the album, well-thought-out and intriguing musical moves make the band's debut a truly unique release of early 2025!

Xenotrone is a band from Dnipro, Ukraine, founded in 2021 by guitarist-vocalist Kostyantyn Roskosenko and Danylo "Soulreaper." Over the years, many musicians have been part of the band.

The band released its first demo in 2022, which was warmly received by the underground community, although there was still room for improvement.

After releasing the demo, the band went on hiatus for a year. However, in 2023, they reunited with a new lineup and recorded the Queen of the Night EP, which takes listeners back to the '80s, evoking the sounds of bands like Watchtower and Mekong Delta. The release, available on CDs and cassettes, was warmly received by the audience and gained its own fan base.

Xenotrone is part of the new wave of thrash metal in Ukraine, standing out significantly among other bands in the genre.

SLEEPLESS RELEASE "THROUGH ENDLESS BLACK"

PRESS RELEASE:

Progressive/Traditional Metal outfit SLEEPLESS have released a lyric video for "Call To The Void," the third single from forthcoming album, Through Endless Black!

Check it out at: youtu.be/jPKDqrxHJK8

SLEEPLESS are set to release Through Endless Black, their second full-length album, on October 31! The album will be available on vinyl and digital formats through Necromantic Press Records. The CD version will be released on Metal Warrior Records.

Soon after the release of critically acclaimed, 2022 full-length debut album, Host Desecration, writing team Eric Sexton-Dorsett and Kevin Hahn dug in deep with a single minded purpose: to create a world class metal album that shows exactly what SLEEPLESS is all about! Through Endless Black is just that! The album leans into the band's Trad Metal roots, infused with the technical flourishes and spashes of Doom that collectively create the SLEEPLESS sound! "With each tune we would picture someone dropping the needle onto a record," explains Sexton-Dorsett. "Could they nod their head to the song and have it repeating in their mind the rest of the day?"

Mission accomplished!

The band also introduced their first guest vocal appearances by legendary punk vocalist Jerry A of Poison Idea and master metal vocalist Sean Peck of Denner/Sherman, Cage, and Death Dealer!

SLEEPLESS is back with one hell of an album in Through Endless Black!

EXMORTUS TO RELEASE "NECROPHONY" ON AUGUST 25th

PRESS RELEASE:

Following their recent announcement of joining Nuclear Blast Records, Southern Californian melodic death mongers EXMORTUS have revealed plans to release their massively anticipated 6th studio album, Necrophony, on August 25th. Available for pre-order now, the record 4 years in the making finds the shredders at a new creative peak, re-born in the isolation of the pandemic and wielding a master craft of metallic savagery.

Pre-order Necrophony:  https://exmortus.bfan.link/necrophony

Commenting on the impending record, guitarist/vocalist Conan says:

"'Necrophony' was an album title idea for as long as I can remember. This Symphony of the Dead couldn't be realized for a collection of songs until now. Finally, we have our darkest and most Classically inspired work yet, with artwork by the great Toha Mashudi to match perfectly. We returned to Sharkbite Studios to have the mighty wizard that is Zack Ohren aid us again in forging our metal, and resulted in the finest steel we're all proud to wield on the battlefield."

Today, the band has released the new single 'Mind Of Metal,' which can be streamed now at https://exmortus.bfan.link/mind-of-metal

Watch the music video for "Mind Of Metal" here: https://youtu.be/fuauI3zWGjU

Conan adds says of the song:

"'Mind of Metal' is a great compliment to our previous single 'Oathbreaker,' in that it has contrasting rhythms and structure, but shares lyrical inspiration by Tolkien. It's a tribute to the wizard Saruman and other like characters in the legendarium, for their will to power and domination by crafty and industrial means. This song features groove, fast licks, and some of our favorite riffs ever written. Can't wait to perform it live!"

Stream the band's previously released single, 'Oathbreaker,' here: https://bfan.link/Exmortus-Oathbreaker

SADUS JOINS NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

PRESS RELEASE:

Announced today, thrash metal legends SADUS have officially joined the Nuclear Blast Records family. Led by founding vocalist/guitarist Darren Travis and drummer Jon Allen, the band is armed with a resurgent arsenal of massive riffs and blistering solos, crushing drums and shredding bass, and are currently preparing the release of their first new album in 16 years due out 2023.

Commenting on the signing, Nuclear Blast's A&R veteran Monte Conner states:

“I am thrilled to be reunited with Darren Travis and the mighty Sadus. Signing a band I have worked with in the past is never a given. Quite the opposite, in fact. I need to be blown away, and let me tell you, this new Sadus material is some of the best work I have ever heard from the band. It is the Sadus you know and love, with the same elements that made them unique in the past, but now with even stronger, more focused songs, and with crushingly heavy modern production!”

With the signing comes SADUS' ferocious new single, "It's The Sickness". The first taste off their impending record is a contemporary thrash classic with colossal, groove-laden riffs that was made to get the pit moving.

Says SADUS' Darren Travis, when asked to discuss the new track, “As Joe Perry from Aerosmith says... ‘Let the music do the talking!!!’”

Stream "It's The Sickness": https://bfan.link/SADUS-ItsTheSickness

About SADUS:

SADUS rose to notoriety amidst the Bay Area's burgeoning thrash scene in the mid-80's. The band's introductory album, Illusions (1988), led to their signing with Roadrunner Records by A&R guru Monte Connor and eventual release of the quintessential record Swallowed in Black (1990). Over the next decade and a half the band went on to release the hailed albums A Vision of Misery (1992), Elements of Anger (1997) and Out for Blood (2006) as well as toured with the likes of Morbid Angel, Sepultura and Obituary among others.

Now nearly four decades since their formation and almost two decades since their last record, SADUS returns with one of their most vicious and vital albums to date. Follow the band for additional news and updates regarding their return.

MISCREANCE RELEASE "CONVERGENCE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Italian Death Thrashers MISCREANCE have joined forces with No Clean Singing for exclusive premiere of forthcoming debut full-length album Convergence. Stream it at the link below!

nocleansinging.com/2022/09/12/an-ncs-album-premiere-and-a-review-miscreance-convergence/

"Convergence is an ingenious melding of thrash and technical death metal, with raw howls and ravenous growls in the vocal department and a ton of fleet-fingered fretwork and swift changes in drum patterns and tempos."

- No Clean Singing

Miscreance will release Convergence September 19 on Unspeakable Axe Records (CD), Danex Records (Vinyl), and Desert Wastelands (Cassette), as well as on Bandcamp and other digital platforms.

Pre-orders:

BC: unspeakableaxerecords.bandcamp.com/album/convergence

UAR Store: https://tinyurl.com/5d34pzva

One of the few relatively unmined veins of extreme metal, technical death/thrash--the style pioneered by the likes of Atheist and Sadus--is a demanding art, for both the band and the listener. Fortunately for both, Italian death/thrashers Miscreance have very sure hands. On their debut full-length, Convergence, a dizzying array of influences and ideas come together to make a feast for fans of the genre. Riffs twist and contort, lead parts spiral off like celestial bodies in orbit, and even the overall song structures are intricate beasts. Everything Miscreance touches is a twist or three off from the predictable and repetitive approach of much latter-day thrash and death.

Convergence, in short, is the kind of album that purists will salivate over: in love with and mindful of the halcyon days of the genre, but insistent on surprising the listener rather than just delivering the basics again. Unspeakable Axe Records, Danex Records, and Desert Wastelands Productions are very pleased to conspire to bring you this release in three different formats, in advance of a European tour in 2023 with like-minded labelmates Ripper (Chile).

Track Listing:

1. Flame of Consciousness

2. Fall Apart

3. Incubo

4. No Empathy

5. The Garden

6. Alchemy

7. My Internment

8. Requiem for Sanity

Andrea Feltrin - Drums, Vocals

Four years in the making, the Billboard-charting trio that is Revocation - Dave Davidson (vocals/guitars), Ash Pearson (drums), and Brett Bamberger (bass) - meticulously explore the allegorical and literal aspects of Hell as they dig deeper into the darker, more diabolical side of death metal. "We put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the album," says Davidson. "We want people to be inspired. It's brutal. We brought our A-game on 'Netherheaven'."

"…'Netherheaven' is Revocation's best record in a decade. Expanding the dark romanticism of 'Deathless', Davidson, Bamberger and Pearson crank out the darkest, heaviest songs of their career together, never missing a beat." - Angry Metal Guy

"'Netherheaven' is a winning addition to the Revocation catalog. A masterful amalgamation of every single element that Revocation has crafted over the last several albums, sharpened into a cohesive, thoughtful, and punishing package of solid technical death/thrash metal. If there was ever a thinking man's death metal, Revocation would be the band and 'Netherheaven' would be the record!" - Metal Wani

"In a genre where every band wants to tease their newest album as their 'most heavy,' 'Netherheaven' finds Revocation doubling down on their most ferocious elements. The band achieved impressive levels of power after recording as a three-piece for the first time in 13 years, while maintaining their tech-metal prestige." - Metal Injection

"…'Netherheaven' is easily on par with the band's very best, and might even be the new standard by which all their work will be judged going forwards…this is one album that does not miss." - No Clean Singing

"…Revocation's 'Netherheaven' represents the next stage in their sonic evolution: from primordial metallic neophytes back on albums like 'Empire of the Obscene' and (my first taste) 'Existence Is Futile' to more full-fledged tech-death beasts such as 'Deathless', 'Great Is Our Sin', and 'The Outer Ones'. 'Netherheaven' continues the progression in quality you have come to expect from the greater part of the last decade." - Invisible Oranges

AFTERMATH RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG"

PRESS RELEASE:

Chicago’s AFTERMATH is one of the pioneering crossover Thrash bands of the 1980s:

a band that transformed into one of the most technical Thrash Metal bands of its time on its critically-acclaimed debut album, "Eyes Of Tomorrow".

Since December 14, 2020, the band presents the final Lyric Video, this time for the album's title track "There Is Something Wrong":

Official Lyric Video for 'There Is Something Wrong'

YouTube link: https://youtu.be/xt7xOMoAuds

These lyric video is the final video from the album.

 AFTERMATH proclaims about it:

"The use of an animated human throughout the video is a strong symbolic image of what those in power want the new world to look like. No originality, no individuality and no independent thought. They want humanity to disappear and this song and video serve as a wakeup call to all of us."

More from singer Kyriakos 'Charlie' Tsiolis:

"I grew up always questioning authority. I never understood what gives them the right to tell me what to do. I follow the 'Golden Rule'. I don’t need someone to tell me what is right or wrong. I am not your child. That feeling was there as a kid and continued to grow over the years. I have no idea why or what caused me to see the world like that. I must have been born this way. Back in the early days of the band all my lyrics were somewhat based on this. I just wasn’t as aware then as I am now. We wrote a song called 'Chaos' back in 1986. That song was about questioning everything and everyone including your parents. It was about challenging authority and the stories they force fed you. I didn’t know why I felt something was wrong in the world, but I KNEW IT WASN'T RIGHT. As I got older and read and researched things I figured it out. Listening to 'Chaos' all these years later I realized I now had the answers to the questions I had in those lyrics. If you listen to 'Chaos' you will hear part of the lyrics in 'There Is Something Wrong'. Listen to these lyrics and you will hear me answering those lyrics. Wake up world before it’s too late."

LINE-UP:

Kyriakos 'Charlie' Tsiolis • Vocals

Steve Sacco • Guitar

George Nektarios Lagis • Bass

Ray Schmidt • Drums

The latest album "There Is Something Wrong" is an 11-song opus of TECHNICAL PROGRESSIVE THRASH METAL.

AFTERMATH RELEASE VIDEO ALBUM FOR "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG

PRESS RELEASE:

Chicago’s AFTERMATH is one of the pioneering crossover Thrash bands of the 1980s:

a band that transformed into one of the most technical Thrash Metal bands of its time on its critically-acclaimed debut album, "Eyes Of Tomorrow".

Since Nov. 05, 2020, AFTERMATH have once again been revealing their very own artistic ambition with a great deal of ingenuity - the band produced a very special Video Album that includes all previous videos for the 2nd full-length release "There Is Something Wrong" - and a further, fresh video for the title track:

Video Album track list:

01. False Flag Flying

02. Diethanasia

03. Scientists And Priest

04. Smash Reset Control

05. Gaslight

06. Temptation Overthrown

07. Pseudocide

08. There Is Something Wrong

AFTERMATH explain the thematic background of the new Video Album:

"'There Is Something Wrong' is a concept album that is meant to challenge the listeners and to unsettle them. It is dark, complex, angry, sad, and yet hopeful. The lyrics and message throughout the album are a wake-up call to everyone. The intro, interludes and outro are part of the message. We are still a band, though, and without the actual songs none of it would matter; so, we decided to make a video for each song on the album excluding the intro, interludes, and outro. We now unleash the 'There Is Something Wrong video album'. We extracted just the music. We removed the extras and allow the listener to listen to the music. It’s a 34-minute musical soundscape. It’s even angrier this way. It’s more urgent. It’s a locomotive already at full speed. Listen closely and you will realize 2020 is just the beginning."

LINE-UP:

Kyriakos 'Charlie' Tsiolis • Vocals

Steve Sacco • Guitar

George Nektarios Lagis • Bass

Ray Schmidt • Drums

The latest album "There Is Something Wrong" is an 11-song opus of TECHNICAL PROGRESSIVE THRASH METAL.

A concept record in the truest sense of the word, the album features a mix of old-school crossover Thrash and technical/progressive Metal, and is a commentary on what is wrong with the world today:

ATHEIST RELEASE "AND THE PSYCHIC SAW" LIVE PLAYTHROUGH QUARANTINE VIDEO

Technical death thrash jazz metal masters ATHEIST have released a live quarantine video for their classic track "And the Psychic Saw". ATHEIST are widely regarded by those in the know as the pioneers of technical death metal, influencing many of today’s top technical extreme metal bands. ATHEIST was set to return to Europe and the UK for the first time since 2011 with the ENTHRALLED IN EUROPE TOUR in September of 2020. Due to the pandemic the tour has been rescheduled for February/March 2021. The lineup remains as ATHEIST with support from CADAVER, SVART CROWN and FROM HELL.

During quarantine members Daniel Martinez, Chris Martin, Yoav-Ruiz Feingold and Anthony Medaglia kept their chops and produced a series of playthrough videos. The first was for the track ‘Mother Man’ from ATHEIST second album ‘Unquestionable Presence’.

The latest installment brings up ‘And The Psychic Saw’ also from the ‘Unquestionable Presence’ release which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/9gIJH0j5nAA?sub_confirmation=1.

The video for ‘And The Psychic Saw’ as well as the video for ‘Mother Man’ can be viewed at the bands official YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ7LKy_zivv0rWUoVV8QAag?sub_confirmation=1.

Vocalist Kelly Shaefer comments on the video: “This is the second of our playthrough videos – ‘An The Psychic saw’! We wanted to lay this on you metal heads from the new band. It is a notoriously difficult song to play so when the new guys wanted to add this to the set I was reluctant. It is one of my favorite songs, even my co-founder Steve Flynn was always cautious about pulling this song off live so we rarely tried it...and along came these young monsters who just crushed it. So of course I said fuck yes, let's add it to the set. We performed this on several of the dates on our last tour with Cattle Decapitation. These guys just nailed it!!! I couldn’t be more proud to introduce you to ATHEIST 2020. Enjoy!!!”

Don’t miss ATHEIST as they team up with powerhouses CADAVER and SVART CROWN for a terrifying tour through Europe and UK in February/March 2021!

The Norwegian CADAVER, founded by Anders Odden (SATYRICON, ORDER) is a prime example of a true Nordic mindset when it comes to death metal. One of the first Norwegian extreme metal bands, re-gathered for the first time since 2004, is coming back to life with Dirk Verbeuren (MEGADETH, ex-SOILWORK) on drums. The band will present its new digital EP titled DGAF, just released through Nuclear Blast.

The French blackened death metal monsters SVART CROWN will join this powerful lineup with their brand new fifth studio album ‘Wolves Among The Ashes’, released earlier this year through Century Media. Five albums and over ten years of heavy touring made SVART CROWN one of the French bands a true lover of death metal should see anytime they come by.

A heavy metal horror concept band FROM HELL, each recording of which is intended to be its own horror story, will complement this tour. On this leg, the US-based metallers will present their new concept album ‘Rats & Ravens’.

The tour will be complemented by opening acts such as CRITICAL MESS (Germany), TYPHUS (Greece), and one more band to be announced soon.

Carefully flex your neck and keep yourself hydrated so that your body is in good shape when this lineup comes to your town and slams your face with pristine death metal wall of sound!

CANADA´S ENTROPY ANNOUNCE NEW EXPANSIVE, CINEMATIC ALBUM "FORCE CONVERGENCE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Canadian legends ENTROPY first hit the metal scene in the late 80s and 30 years later they are still melting faces, this time with “Force Convergence”.

This will be the fourth album from the band, and they describe it as their best album yet and it's a cinematic type experience. Entropy shares the premise being the concept album:

“We wanted to bring metal fans a sci-fi horror experience with the album story. The lyrical inspiration is from bands like Rush, Queensryche, Voivod, Iron Maiden, and also from films like Aliens, Predator, War Of The World’s, Independence Day, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. There is also a sprinkle of war scene themes throughout the story, like Apocalypse Now, Platoon, and Starship Troopers, mixed in for fun.”

The story-driven, progressive thrash metal album has been getting excellent reviews from the people who have had a chance to listen to it early, this is the album that everyone wants!

So far, all the Entropy albums have a different feel to them, and this new one is also forging its own path. "Force Convergence" is a 30-minute metal rip-ride! It is a creative and fun album that flows with power, melody, aggressiveness, and meaning.

With an original and eclectic sound that is 30 years in the making, Entropy is suitable for all metalheads especially those who enjoy Slayer, Pantera, and Iron Maiden.
