On April 28th, Enforced will release their third full-length, War Remains (32 minutes of aggressive, no-frills thrash!), via Century Media Records. For a first preview of this record, the new single "Ultra-Violence" can be heard now at: https://youtu.be/0ENEOrT9jX8
Knox Colby (vocals) comments: "'War Remains' is a scathing perception of the modern crumbling world. Humanity seems imprisoned by its violent and chaotic nature; boiling over and doubling down on its own ignorance. The album contemplates and reflects upon the blight with cyclical themes rotating through the songs. It's a hammer hitting a raw nerve."
Will Wagstaff (guitars) adds: "This record ('War Remains') is furious. If you aren't in the mood to circle pit, head bang, disrupt the neighbors, etc. don't put this thing on. From the second the needle touches the record, you are in for about 32 minutes of a non-stop, no frills, indiscriminate ass kicking. Toss out the samples, ambiance, and nonsense. All we need are JCM800s and some V30s to deliver inexorable riffage."
--Standard CD jewel-case --Black vinyl --Blue vinyl available from USA retail (500 copies) & CM Distro Wholesale EU and CMdistro.de (300 copies) --White vinyl available from EMP (150 copies) & Nuclear Blast (150 copies) --Red vinyl available from Enforced (limited to 300 copies) --Digital album
"We didn't overthink anything," says Enforced front-man Knox Colby, describing the ethic that went into the making of the Richmond, Virginia-based quintet's third album, War Remains. "It's all very straight forward, no bells and whistles production-wise. It's almost ten minutes shorter than our last record and packs ten times more of a punch."
Blazing out of the pandemic, Enforced carved a trail throughout North America and Europe, sharing stages with the likes of Obituary, Municipal Waste and Exhumed as well as festivals like Maryland Deathfest and France's Hellfest. With that bloodied road behind them, Enforced set metallic standard with their power-of-the-riff-wreck-your-neck take on classic thrash and crossover hardcore from the same pissed-off hometown womb that had given the world the likes of GWAR and Lamb of God.
Teaming with Richmond-based producer, Ricky Olson, with mixing help from Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Kreator), the band delivered on every iota of extreme aggression they've flexed since their inception in 2016. War Remains is the sound of Enforced pushing themselves to the next level: a serrated-edge classic. "It has the intensity of 'At the Walls' (2019) but is more mature than 'Kill Grid' (2021)," Colby explains. "It has that tenacity of us live. It spills through the record. If you're a fan of really aggressive music, you're gonna love it. It's seething!"
AUSTERE are back. The Australians return with their third album – and they are as laconic and without any pretensions as when they went into extended hibernation after the release of their sophomore full-length "To Lay like Old Ashes" in 2009. Entitled "Corrosion of Hearts", the new tracks stay true to the path that AUSTERE have carved for themselves out of solid black metal bedrock. The multi-layered and harsh yet often dreamlike guitar tapestries woven by Mitchell Keepin are complemented by the emotive drumming of Tim Yatras, who also contributes keyboard splashes and cinematic soundscapes. In the typical manner of these Australians, their songs are still meandering, flowing streams of musical thought of epic proportions. On "Corrosion of Hearts", AUSTERE's brand of black metal has evolved into a more mature and defined form of expression, which is hardly surprising as both musicians were active in other bands during their hiatus. The duo also took more time to craft their new songs into exactly what they were supposed to sound like than before. With greater experience comes more determination. AUSTERE grew out of an existing solo-project of multi-instrumentalist and singer Desolate alias Mitchell Keepin who joined forces with drummer, keyboarder, and vocalist Sorrow aka Tim Yatras in 2005. Although the Australians had quickly attracted an equally loyal and substantial following during their first few years, AUSTERE decided to go on a prolonged hiatus before resuming activities in 2021. As a first sign of their rebirth, the band released a compilation of their earlier material as an artbook edition entitled “Towards the Great Unknown” via Lupus Lounge. With rekindled passion and a clear vision, AUSTERE are finally ready to release their eagerly and long-awaited third full-length "Corrosion of Hearts". Beautiful yet proudly grim, a fierce black storm rises from Down Under.

"...and Darkness was over the Surface of the Deep" is 8th album in Do Skonu's growing over time discography. Unlike latest albums "Black Asceticism" and "Hesychian Noise" (and "Offering", though it's chronologically 3rd) with their bizarre songwriting and rock sound, this is harsh, brutal and straightforward creation. "...and Darkness..." requires a lot of attention and willingness to concentrate to be fully understood in its apocalyptic might.
To be released on Crypt of Black Fog in cassette format with alternative artwork. 66 copies, black cassettes and inlay with lyrics. Distributed through Decadence Within. Arrival is expected in mid-February.
ETERNAL DEATH is proud to present a brand-new EP from DEATH VANISH, Hermitic Fire, on cassette tape formats.
Formed in 2017, DEATH VANISH is a solo project of Valder from the band One Master. Playing select live shows with a full lineup, the songwriting and all instruments on the recorded material is performed by Valder. Since the project's formation, two EPs and a split have been released - and now , four years after the last one, arrives a new EP titled Hermitic Fire.
Compared to his other ongoing musical endeavors, DEATH VANISH explores Valder’s interest in the more primitive side of black metal expressed by bands such as Beherit and Profanatica. And yet, there's plenty of other nasty ingredients lurking within that cauldron, as evidenced by this latest Hermitic Fire. More diverse overall and yet also more focused, Hermitic Fire shows DEATH VANISH as true pervertors of black metal, here incorporating a deathrock side - subtle, but still pronounced - and a general air of unorthodoxy that drives deep into the heart of black metal's earliest antagonists. As such, all sides of DEATH VANISH are displayed here: from the furious simplicity of the opening track "Conquer With Solar Might," to the awkward riffs and remedial keyboards on the unabashed homage to Beherit "From Down There," to the ritualistic channeling of Big Boss in "Old Magick and Tyrant," to the final two more headbanging tributes to Profanatica. Altogether, it's 24 trend-free minutes bound to amaze and confuse in equal measure - simultaneously archaic and fuck-you fresh - and Valder, naturally, wouldn't have it any other way.
Following the release of Hermitic Fire, DEATH VANISH will return to the stage with limited live performances. Only true deviants need apply.
Italian apocalyptic death metal act VISION DEPRIVED will release their debut album “Self Elevating, Deep Inside The Void” on March 28th 2023 via Slaughterhouse Records.
Born from the twisted mind of Carlo Altobelli, producer and sound engineer at the Toxic Basement Studio (Cripple Bastards, Insanity Alert, Black Oath, Raw Power, Ekpyrosis, ...), the band mixes early 90's American gloomy metal with grim and dystopian imagery all captured at his iconic studio. And if for some reason the music won't speak enough for itself, then the amazing artwork by Francesca Vecchio will further clarify what music and words won't.
With plenty of atmosphere to spare, the band’s compositional skills astoundingly span the full reach of old school US death metal, subtly (and tastefully) touching such boundaries as grindcore and death-thrash.
The band was originally founded by drummer Carlo (Greedy Mistress, Moral Values) and bassist Aldo (Cain, Bang Bangalow), who eventually welcomed Elias (End) on guitar and Alberto (Forged In Blood, Ephyra) on vocals.
“Self Elevating, Deep Inside The Void” is its introduction to their musical abyss, 10 songs of claustrophobic and relentless riffs and hopeless lyrics for a 30 minute visceral trail.

Dozethrone is a two-piece doom and sludge metal band from Singapore. Dozethrone performs riffs that are boring, monotonous and repetitive. No joke, Dozethrone really performs riffs that are boring, monotonous and repetitive.
This demo was created in a basement by founding member R.B. with no other humans. The drums were recorded with an Iphone 6 voice recorder on a cardboard box that was placed in front of the drums. The guitars and bass were tracked using Amplitube 4. The keys were played through a smart phone app. No microphone was used to record except for vocals.
