DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present BOTTOMLESS’ highly anticipated second album, The Banishing, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Hailing from Italy, BOTTOMLESS was formed in 2016 by the hands of vocalist/guitarist Giorgio Trombino and drummer David Lucido; bassist Sara Bianchin joined shortly after. Collectively, the band possesses a wealth of experience across other prior and present bands, including Messa, Assumption, Becerus, Shrieking Demons, Morbo, and many more. Five years later, in 2021 and preceded by a trio of three of digital singles, BOTTOMLESS released their self-titled debut album: a clear affirmation of the power-trio's commitment to traditional doom metal yet with a slightly ‘70s edge, bluesy and hard rocking.

Now, two years later, BOTTOMLESS return with their second full-length. Appropriately titled The Banishing, the band take bold steps into new territories here, retaining their rootsy doom sound but moving it toward the epic and sometimes evil and most definitely dark. The relatively-dramatic shift reflects a focus on themes of magic, death, remembrance, and sorrow, most poignantly displayed across such tracks as “Guardians of Silence,” “By the Sword of the Archangel,” and the acoustic ballad “Drawn Into Yesterdays.” Even more so than the first album, The Banishing is a doom metal record for doom maniacs, reflecting emotional atmospheres reminiscent of classic Candlemass, Solitude Aeternus, the UK’s Solstice, and Manilla Road’s slower moments whilst firmly residing on a foundation of ‘80s doom ala Pentagram, Trouble, and especially Black Sabbath; one could say that BOTTOMLESS are even approaching the latter’s cult years with Tony Martin on the mic. And like the best vintage doom, whether it’s entrenched in the ‘70s or ‘80s, The Banishing is richly wrapped in an authentically analog production, all recorded, mixed, and mastered on tape in a few sessions.

BOTTOMLESS are truly hitting their stride now. The Banishing is for all those heavy rockin' castaways who are living backwards, banished from the modern world and still looking to carve their own individual path into the realm of slow, somber heavy metal.

Atmospheric reigns supreme in Claret Ash's majestic return. Five years removed from their last full-length, the double-album 'The Great Adjudication' Australian Melodic Black Metal band Claret Ash are ready to present a new EP 'Worldtorn: Anemoia' - the second installment in its recently launched 'Worldtorn' series. Weaving together narratives among common threads of collapse, resiliency, symbiosis, and renewal, Worldtorn - a concept yet in its infancy - seeks to explore various facets of post-apocalyptic existence.

Featuring a mix of both new material and reinterpreted work from their back catalog,'Worldtorn: Anemoia' delivers atmospheric and menacing black metal equally unforgiving, savage, triumphant, and imaginative. At its core, the new material on the EP is Atmospheric Black Metal but uses a wide array of tools to craft that familiar atmosphere, seamlessly shifting from pummeling death metal sections, soaring melodic leads, ethereal folk sections, and more without ever losing its footing or forward moving direction. Besides the new material, Anemoia also includes a re-recording of the track 'Ground Dweller' from its debut album of the same name - faster and more intense, as they now play it live - before concluding with an acoustic version of 'The Wolves Have Fed Again' (taken from their second album), and a stunningly beautiful orchestral rendition of the new track 'Cascadence of the Twilight'.

'Worldtorn: Anemoia' will be released on CD/Digital August 11, 2023

Conceived by Greg Moir in april of 2014, Withering Earth soon began taking form. With Greg on guitar and vocals, he enlisted Dick Wisby on Lead Guitar later that year. Shortly afterwards, Keith Harris came aboard on drums to nearly complete the link. After a short lived run with bassist Johnny Smink, Robert McGregor was eventually welcomed into the Wither-realm as their official bass player.

This album tells the tale of a humble warrior. With guidance from the malevolent vision of his power-hungry father, and the enlistment of the legendary berserks the Ulfhednar, he ascends his rank in life to the absolute pinnacle of the land. But all ill gots, suffer ill ends. As our hero descends into the maddening hunger that plagued his father, can he reconcile his actions and accept his fate? Or will he give in to the great wolf in the end?
