TORANAGA UK RELEASE "CRASH AND BURN"

PRESS RELEASE:

TORANAGA UK – CRASH AND BURN Single

LABEL: INDEPENDENT RELEASE

RELEASE DATE: MARCH 1st 2026

Back in the late 1980s Toranaga were one of the prime movers on the UK thrash metal scene, leading the pack alongside the likes of Sabbat, Onslaught and Xentrix. Two acclaimed albums – Bastard Ballads, released on Peaceville Records and God’s Gift, released on Chrysalis Records – and live shows with an array of legendary bands including Manowar, Venom and Saxon, should have seen Toranaga rising to dizzying heights. However, fate and misfortune intervened and the band slipped into a lengthy hiatus. There was a brief rebirth under the name The Bastard Son Of Toranaga, with the punishing Righteous Retribution album emerging in 2013, but this incarnation soon dissolved. It was 2024 before a new Toranaga line-up was unveiled, under the name Toranaga UK; lead, as ever, by indefatigable vocalist Mark Duffy. A superb EP, A New Order, was released in 2025 and Toranaga UK are not about to retreat quietly back into the darkness. Since their return the band has toured with Onslaught, Xentrix and Riot City and performed at prestigious festivals like Headbangers Open Air, Helicon and HRH Spring Break – and underlining the fact that they are here to stay, Toranaga UK are starting 2026 with a bang, unleashing explosive new single, ‘Crash And Burn’!

“You’ll see the fire raging when we light the fuse!”

Built upon crisp, incisive riffing that cuts like a blade, with Mark Duffy’s distinctive vocals leading the charge – the power, range, accuracy and character of his voice undiminished – ‘Crash And Burn’ is another finely crafted song that shows just how much Toranaga UK have to offer. Measured, controlled, performed with masterful poise, ‘Crash And Burn’ builds to a fierce conclusion. There’s a depth of melody, the kind of songcraft that only comes with experience, some stunning lead guitar work and an incendiary chorus. Steeped in the roots and traditions of the band, but also driving forwards with a force and intensity that never looks back, ‘Crash And Burn’ is a great addition to the proud Toranaga legacy and a torch lighting the way to exciting times to come.

“It’s your turn to crash and burn!”

Produced and mixed by composer Steve Kilpatrick, known for his work on feature films and BBC dramas as well as the Toranaga UK EP, A New Order, ‘Crash And Burn’ sounds bright and vibrant while packing a heavyweight punch and some vicious teeth. For fans of cultured thrash and hard-hitting metal Toranaga UK are the band you’ve been looking for – and there’s no better place to start than with ‘Crash And Burn’, with its high impact artwork, specially designed by band drummer Toby Wallace. Look for the ‘Crash And Burn’ single on all major digital music platforms from March 1st and expect to see Toranaga UK on festival stages throughout 2026…the hammer to the skull is about to fall again!

DISSENTIENCE RELEASE "KAIJU"

PRESS RELEASE:

Inspired by classic Japanese monster films and Lovecraftian mythology, DISSENTIENCE are left to fend for themselves and escape a destructive, nameless beast in their latest release "Kaiju". Based out of Bethlehem, PA, the progressive death-thrash unit unleash a devastatingly brutal onslaught accompanied with their humorous take on a B-movie video style, available HERE.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_Y7GPzSP84

"While we take the music side of DISSENTIENCE very seriously, the 'Kaiju' video was a great excuse to have some fun with the whole concept." The band shares. "The last thing the world needs is another 'band in a warehouse' or 'live on stage' music video, so we wanted to do things a little differently. Keeping the monster off-screen, we leaned into the B-Movie aspect of our inspiration as it seemingly picks us off one by one. Running around on a freezing day in northeast PA was absolutely brutal, but Sarah from Novro Studios absolutely nailed the edit and made all the frostbite worth it!"

"Kaiju" is the title track and narrative climax of their newly released four-track concept EP. The song's lyrics describe grotesque scenes of bloodshed and helplessness as the unseen terror rips through the last remnants of resistance. Sonically, brutal gutturals, riffs and rhythmic fury build with intensity throughout as the sense of urgency and impending doom escalates.

Kaiju was produced by the band alongside Corey Pierce, the record was engineered by Matt Menafro at Peach Pie Sound, mixed by Zeuss, and mastered by Alan Douches. The music video for "Kaiju" was shot and edited by Sarah Novroski & Novro Studios. The full EP is released independently and available on digital and CD formats.

Kaiju Tracklist:

1-Obsidian Tomb

2-Chaos Absolute

3-Kaiju

4-Death Shroud

About DISSENTIENCE:

Formed in 2013 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, DISSENTIENCE is a progressive death-thrash metal band that combines the technical precision of death metal with the relentless energy of thrash. Rejecting retro imitation and genre stagnation, the band creates forward-thinking metal that is both aggressive and dynamic. Drawing influence from bands like TRIVIUM, REVOCATION, SYLOSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEATH, and LAMB OF GOD, DISSENTIENCE forges a sound built on sharp riffs, crushing rhythms, and inventive songwriting.

The lineup features Connor Valentin on guitar and vocals, James Vitale on guitar, Sean Langer on bass, and Nick Scherden on drums. Known for their intense live performances and refusal to be confined to a single subgenre, the band continuously pushes their sound in new directions. Their music balances chaos and melody while exploring dark themes through a modern lens.

After releasing their debut EP Mask of Pretense in 2018 and their full-length album Empire Anatomy in 2022, DISSENTIENCE returned with the concept EP Kaiju in 2026. The record blends the devastation of giant monster cinema with the dread of Lovecraftian horror, showcasing the band’s evolution in sound and narrative depth. DISSENTIENCE has earned a reputation as one of the most compelling rising forces in heavy music. Their mission is clear: to make metal that is uncompromising, inventive, and unapologetically intense.
