SPLINTERED THRONE RELEASE NEW TRACK "THE REAPER IS CALLING"

PRESS RELEASE:

Out now, "The Reaper is Calling" is the powerful first single to land ahead of SPLINTERED THRONE's upcoming album The Greater Good of Man.

Lisa Mann comments:

"When people ask "what did you do during the pandemic," we can say we spent it making a kickass old-school metal album. When we put it all together, we knew "The Reaper is Calling" had to be the opening track. People are in for a solid kick to the eardrums with this one. We're very proud of how it turned out!"

Listen to "The Reaper is Calling" here: https://splinteredthrone.bandcamp.com/track/the-reaper-is-calling

The traditional metal powerhouse from Portland, Oregon, are beginning their next chapter by unleashing the high-octane record The Greater Good of Man on August 19th 2022. Refining their classic metal sound fused with progressive hard rock and striking melodies, SPLINTERED THRONE have created a majestic and vivacious release.

"I still pinch myself that I'm even in this band- and now we've written and recorded a kick ass album? It's as good a feeling as sex and chocolate. Can't wait to unleash it upon the world!"

Well known for their high energy live performances, and having supported the likes of FLOTSAM & JETSAM, PRIMAL FEAR, LITA FORD, and more, The Greater Good of Man sees the band distill their captivating sound. Following the departure of vocalist and founding member Brian Garrison, two-time Blues Music Award winner and European Blues Award nominee Lisa Mann stepped into the role. Lisa was by no means a stranger to the world of metal having released her heavy debut album under the pseudonym of WHITE CRONE receiving raving reviews in the underground scene. Despite the pandemic disrupting initial plans, the band have produced an astounding new record. Opening with the enthralling “The Reaper is Calling”, SPLINTERED THRONE bring a high-spirited energy into the deadly track. Channeling their melodic essence, this opening number aptly establishes the mood of the album. The title track, “The Greater Good of Man” delivers bluesy influences with dynamic bass, groove rhythms, and soaring vocals. Yielding a thrilling pace of high-speed riffs, and unrelenting energy, the epic lyrical narrative of “Night of the Heathens” draws the listener into the storytelling. Also included on the album is a moving re-recorded version of the power-ballad “Immortal”.

The Greater Good of Man is the eagerly anticipated next milestone in SPLINTERED THRONE’s career. Showcasing compelling composition and genre fusion across the tracks, the album is a dynamic collection of energy, emotion and storytelling.

SEEP RELEASE "HYMNS TO THE GORE"

PRESS RELEASE:

One-man death/doom project SEEP is set to unleash its full-length debut, Hymns to the Gore on Extremely Rotten Productions. Hailing from the rural countryside of Maine, SEEP mastermind Vomitus set out to expand upon his 2020 demo by adding elements of goregrind and brutal death to an already violent doom/death foundation. The end result is eight depraved offerings of unfettered, old-school brutality.

Vomitus comments on the album, “I love all things death metal, particularly unpolished obscurities from the 90s/00s. This entire album is an ode to that - back when death metal was about gross shit, had raw production, and was all about being as heavy as humanly possible.”

Check out album track “Jigsaw Facefuck” featuring guest vocals by Brennen Westermeyer (FLUIDS) at this location.

SEEP will release Hymns to the Gore on vinyl, CD, and digital formats via Extremely Rotten Productions on July 8. Gurgling Gore Records will release the album on cassette.

Tracklist:

Morbidly Obese

Jigsaw Facefuck

Addicted to Rancidity

Horrific Fetal Mutation

Gorging on the Gutpile

Music on Hymns to the Gore was written, performed and recorded by Vomitus. “Jigsaw Facefuck” features guest vocals by Brennen Westermeyer (FLUIDS). Guest guitar solos on “Addicted to Rancidity” and “Encased in Shit” were performed by Daniel Bonofiglio (FUMES/GUTVOID).

BEKMØRK RELEASE "THE PATH NOCTURNAL"

PRESS RELEASE:

Bekmørk

The Path Nocturnal

Horns High Records

27 May 2022

BEKMØRK has released their sophomore album, The Path Nocturnal. The black metal duo unleashed their debut album Incantations of the Frigid North in 2019; a release that was met with critical acclaim and made Antichrist Magazine's list of top 50 black metal albums of 2019.

Staying true to their name and nature, BEKMØRK (Norwegian for pitch-black) returns with a thicker sound and even heavier guitars than their debut release. With growls that claw their way from the abyss and the band’s trademark morbid riffs, the atmospheric and haunting opening track, “Hail to the Moths”, sets the tone for all that follows. “Black Waltz” shows the impressive range of the band, as visceral drums and frenzied guitars weave the tale of a demonic ceremony at the ruins of a castle in Switzerland, before giving way to a chilling refrain. The instrumentation builds to a cacophony, complete with a howling guitar solo in “Empress of Charn”, a tribute to the celebrated satanic Villainess.

Disturbing and intense, The Path Nocturnal marks a brutal continuation of BEKMØRK’s ode to second wave black metal.

BEKMØRK is:

Dread Count Naberius: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards

Malevolent Berserker: Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards

With Guest Musician:

Killmoore Bludpainter: Guest solo on "Empress of Charn"
