About CARRION VAEL:

Hailing from Richmond Indiana, CARRION VAEL are a brutal force heavily influenced by Technical, Melodic and traditional Death Metal. They take things to their own level by incorporating aspects of slam and old school death with razor cut precision making them stand out amongst the run of the mill Midwestern bands in the USA.

This talented 5-piece group is led by the brainchild of Travis Lawson Purcell (vocals), who along with Alex Arford (bass), Trent Limburg (guitar), Chris Smiley (drums), and Ryan Kuder (guitar) draw influences lyrically from famous serial killers and mass murders in history, while also writing and performing carefully crafted melodic Death and Thrash.

The band self released their first effort in 2017, the full length album “Resurrection of the Doomed” which was very well received and earned them fantastic reviews for their debut in this hard to please genre. Their follow up, the 2020 release of “God Killer” on HPGD Productions was also welcomed by critics, and sold well despite being released during a world wide pandemic, and the band has since seen consistent growth with fans being responsive and behind them more than ever.

Enter 2021: CARRION VAEL entered ‘Sicktones Studios’ with engineer/producer ‘Jack Daniels’ recording which is the result of their latest unreleased masterpiece ‘Abhorrent Obsessions’ and in 2022 will be released via the prestigious label Unique Leader.

Having shared the stage with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CATTLE DECAPITATION,  and many more hard hitters, CARRION VAEL is set out to unleash their new set of songs to a wider audience and prove that they are determined and ready to take on the next chapter of their career to the fullest.

DAIDALOS RELEASE "THE EXPEDITION"

PRESS RELEASE:

From Extreme Metal Music comes the release of German one-man symphonic dark metal band Daidalos founded in 2020 by drummer/pianist Tobias Püschner (former drummer of the technical thrash band Revolt) and the debut album "The Expedition" due out July 29th.

Recommended for fans of Dimmu Borgir, Wintersun, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

The album was inspired after reading a book on Captain Sir John Franklin's Lost Expedition, a British voyage of Arctic exploration that departed with 129 men from England in 1845. Both ships, called Erebus & Terror, became icebound and after being trapped and suffering in eternal coldness for over a year, the remaining sailors decided to abandon their ships. Trying to survive, they set out for the Canadian mainland, but disappeared.

"The Expedition" is a musical journey through the Arctic Ice, on board with Sir John Franklin's crew. The different moods the sailors had to experience at that time probably went from heroic and enthusiastic to absolute hopelessness and daily mortal fear. I composed these atmospheres musically and told them as a concept album / musical story." says Püschner.

"The Expedition" contains nine songs and has a total playtime of 47 minutes plus a bonus track.

Daidalos' concept can be described as a full orchestral and dark emotional cinematic journey combined with aggressive vocals and harsh guitars. Most of the songs recorded on the upcoming full-length contain clean choir vocals and fast-paced drumming along with each song being written exclusively on the piano first. The idea behind this way of songwriting is to first finish each track's own atmosphere with orchestral music and then use those emotions to create the harder parts.

For the recording of "The Expedition", Püschner recruited guest musicians and friends Martin Simon (Kambrium) (bass/backing vocals), Fabio Rossi (Tryglav) (lead guitar), Francesco Petrelli (guitar), Noga Rotem (choir vocals) who will also support Daidalos on live shows.

"The Expedition" is due out on July 29th, 2022, and is recommended for fans of Dimmu Borgir, Wintersun, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

HARVESTED RELEASE "HARVESTED" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

“We are beyond thrilled to present our very first self-titled EP to everyone. After years of hard work and dedication, as well as lockdowns and a few minor setbacks have only made us more prepared and we are finally ready to show you all what we’ve got. Having years of musical background and being good friends for years has added to the energy and chemistry we portray in our live performances. Our debut EP is just a taste of what we’ve accomplished so far as an unknown band in the last 3 years of forming, though we have much more in store coming very soon!

We’re inspired by so many different styles of metal from old school death metal to black metal to slam, it makes it interesting to tradeoff with each other and combines all the elements into one cohesive unit. Though we decided to take a different approach to lyrical content and have our focus on the terror behind psychological experiences and mental illness. We are trying to keep that old school death metal vibe alive to keep the old school fans excited and more hopeful that this genre will never die, while utilizing and embracing new genres, styles, and production that will capture the ears of the newer generations as well as open a whole new world to the old school fans”. - HARVESTED

For fans of Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Hate Eternal

Music Video – Apathetic - https://youtu.be/H5WPOWWhSVw

“Viciously Brutal, Goes well with my morning coffee” - Paul Collins

“Non-stop heaviness from start to finish. Every song has a different experience yet they all have memorable and catchy riffs that engage the listener” - Eric Morotti (Drummer of Suffocation)

“The EP is quite awesome and I’ll find myself listening over and over again! They sound like Cannibal Corpse/Dying Fetus and many more. The day Harvested has a show in Montreal you can expect to see me in the pit.” - William Biron

"Presenting Harvested: Hailing from Ottawa is one of Canada's finest emerging death metal bands. Their debut E.P. brings that good ol' churning feeling in your stomach like you just chugged a 40 of malt liquor and fell down a hill! Dangerous, disorienting brutal fun. The way death metal should be. If you're into Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, and Morbid Angel or just having an all-around good time, look no further." - Brandon Aitchison

MISANTROPHIA RELEASE VIDEO FOR "DIAMONDS"

PRESS RELEASE:

The video of “Diamonds”, the new single from MISANTROPHIA, is available at this location. The track is now streaming on Spotify and on all digital platforms via Ad Noctem Records. The recording sessions took place at the VaulTKat Studio, under the guidance of Matteo Turla, former guitarist of the band. Davide Aroldi took care of mixing and mastering.

The video is by well-known videomaker Stefano Mastronicola.

The sound of MISANTROPHIA has no boundaries. While boasting roots in metalcore and deathcore, it is the result of a continuous musical research drawing influences from djent, classic heavy metal and electronics. A very emotional sound, often dark and negative, that the band aims to express with every single note.

Frontman Matteo Truppa states:

"We are very satisfied and enthusiastic about the work done with ‘Diamonds’, it is without doubt the beginning of a new musical journey. Where will it take us? Hard to say. What I have always loved about this band is that we never ask ourselves any questions and / or limit ourselves; we have never started a project by telling ourselves ‘it has to sound this way or that other way’. We just do what we like. It is our way of experiencing music: absolute freedom, free from trends or any external pressure. I hope you like this song, at least as much as we love it and hold on tight, this is just the beginning!"
