ETERNAL EVIL, formed in 2019, are a Thrash/Speed Metal foursome (originally a Power Trio) out of the suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden. After self-releasing their debut demo Rise of Death on the 19th of December 2019, Iron Fist Productions (SE) released an official European version of the cassette in June of the same year, followed by a U.S. re-issue from none other than Redefining Darkness Records. Not unlike their Swedish counterparts and labelmates, SARCATOR, ETERNAL EVIL are made up of teenagers (17-19 years old) eager to release their angst upon the world. The skill level of these young miscreants is something of wonder as the band summon the fire and wickedness of the First Wave of Black Metal (i.e. Venom and Bathory) while combining the aggression and speed of Teutonic Thrash icons Sodom and Kreator.

While Death Metal has been all the rage in Metal media, the Thrash revival we all thought may have run it's course has been intensifying unassumingly in the background and, as of late, has boiled over and is producing some of the best material the scene has witnessed since the early/mid 80's! This is genuine, feral, and vicious Thrash that will have any true metalhead smiling from horn to horn!

RUDE RELEASE "OUTER REACHES"

 

PRESS RELEASE:

It’s finally here: a new recording by California-based Death Metal giants RUDE.

This EP probably was mentioned for the first time in 2017 when the band had just released their sophomore full-length “Remnants…” through F.D.A. Records.

Anyway, time moves fast and most importantly “Outer Reaches” will knock you out with six heavy blows. The four-piece stick to their guns with their brand of classic Death Metal in the vein of bands such as Pestilence, Morbid Angel or Death.

Recorded in 2020 “Outer Reaches” consists of six songs including two instrumentals. Closing track “Omega” already was featured on Metal Blade’s “Metal Massacre XV” released in May 2021.

The outstanding sci-fi cover done by Philippines based artist Jan Buragay tops things off in a spectacular way. “Outer Reaches” is classic Death Metal through and through.

“Outer Reaches” will be out on cassette through Dawnbreed Records handling European territory and Headsplit Records taking care of the USA. Release date has been confirmed for September 24th 2021.

The CD and vinyl editions (limited to 500 copies each) will see a worldwide co-release by Dawnbreed Records and Caligari Records later in the year.

ÆXYLIUM RELEASE VIDEO FOR "THE FIFTH SEASON"

Italian symphonic folk metallers Aexylium have unleashed their latest video for the title track from their forthcoming album "The Fifth Season" due out October 29th, 2021 via Rockshots Records

The title track tells through the lyrics and the music an initial restlessness, which leads to a feeling of hope and rebirth towards the end. The song also expresses doubts about the future, also considering the human impact on the planet.

Mixing traditional folk instruments (Flute, Violin, Bouzouki) with the modern symphonic metal, Aexylium's sophomore full length follows 2018's "Tales From This Land" (Underground Symphony Records) and their 2016 self-produced EP “The Blind Crow“. "Tales From This Land" has had over 110k streams on Spotify along with its powerful single "Revive the Village’ placing on the top 200 metal song charts in Germany on Apple Music. Aexylium has also released fan-praised covers of Game of Thrones and Vikings main themes with reinterpreted folk metal sounds.

Since their inception in 2014, the Italian band has performed at renowned festivals in Europe such as Dumeltica International Music Festival, Montelago Celtic Festival, Malpaga Folk & Metal, Rock Inn Somma, Druidia and Strigarium along with sharing the stage with Elvenking, Wind Rose, Nervosa, Furor Gallico, Temperance and more. In August 2020, despite Covid restrictions, Aexylium was chosen by the city of Milan to perform at the historical Castello Sforzesco.

Their new album "The Fifth Season" is a concrete step towards growth and musical maturity with its offering of festive ballads, tighter riffs, advanced orchestrations and heavier dark songs that are all inspired by Norse Mythology. The record also features guest vocals from Samuele Faulisi (Atlas Pain), Arianna Bellinaso and the members of Coro Facoltà di Musicologia Vocal Ensemble. The album was recorded at Twilight Studio by Davide Tavecchia with the artwork done by Jan Yrlund of Darkgrove Design (Manowar, Testament, Korpiklaani.

Founded in Bonn in 2007, the four-member team has always consistently pursued a certain path: that of change. In doing so, singer and guitarist Torsten Schramm(Stein), bassist Jules RoCkwell, lead guitarist Aaron Vogelsberg and drummer Paul Bendler not only overcome all musical clichés, but also deliberately break through genre-typical (sound) walls.

The result of this small evolution is a unique modern metal mix (prog groove metal) that transports its listeners into another world . The combination of melancholic sounds, energetic guitar riffs, driving drums and powerful basslines inspire fans from the areas of progressive rock / metal, groove metal and thrash metal equally.

LAISSEZ FAIRE, LUCIFER! moves in the realms of the human psyche, deals with hope, imperfection, joy, breaking castles in the air, specially built mental prisons and fear, but also with inner strength, love and confidence.

The listener is taken on an acoustic journey into his own world, through his heights and his psychological abysses. Our songs should help, even in difficult times, not to lose hope, to keep the view for the essential and to live in the moment.
