It’s time to welcome a new battalion to the ranks of heavy metal – one that celebrates the storied history of the genre and the electric power of its modern incarnations. War Grave take the soaring vocals, thunderous rhythm section, dramatic narratives and spiralling solos of classic metal, inject the precision riffing and headbanging intent of thrash and the vivacious energy of power metal to create an irresistible musical force. After releasing two successful singles last year – ‘System’ and ‘Discovering My Truth’ – the band are now ready to unveil their first, self-titled EP…

The War Grave EP, which was recorded at London’s Monolith Studios with producer Charlie Wilson Jnr. (Torchbearer, Graven Image etc) features five magnificent songs that fire the imagination and unleash a torrent of adrenaline. The world class vocals of singer Roman Kantoch (ex-More) lead the charge, backed by the immaculately crafted riffs and breathtaking solos of guitar team Trent Powell and Stuart Layne (ex-Virus), while drummer Steve Brill and bassist Charlie Gossett supply the heavy artillery. Together this incredible team have forged a superb set of songs, built upon their instinctive understanding of great heavy metal. The world’s first taste of the War Grave EP comes in the seductive form of single ‘Witch’, a tale of magic, manipulation and a soul in peril that features an incredible guest vocal performance from the one and only Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens – renowned for his amazing work with Judas Priest, Iced Earth, K.K.’s Priest, The Three Tremors and many, many more. One listen to ‘Witch’ and metalheads will be hungry to uncover the rest of the War Grave EPs array of treasures!

The EP will be released on April 26th and War Grave will be playing a special pre-release launch show at the infamous Devonshire Arms in Camden Town, London on April 19th. PORONIEC RELEASE "W POLOGU"

This record is a must to hear for fans of bands such as Behemoth, Odraza and God Dethroned.

Poroniec was born in 2016, during a rehearsal of another band, from our shared need to free ourselves from the burden of society’s expectations. One night of drinking led to many nights of sending each other listening materials and later on, recording first versions of the songs in Ferment’s home studio.

Poroniec in Slavic Demonology is mighty Demon raised from the soul of child who died before birth by intentional procedures performed by women to miscarry. It was believed that unborn child is motivated by envy because it did not have time to enjoy life. This envy was compared to the one that was observed during casting bad spells.

Drums for the album were recorded by The Fall (Mgła, Owls Woods Graves) in No Solace studio (Deus Mortem, Graveland, Mgła) and the rest in TRIPlets Audio by Ferment, who was also responsible for the album’s production, mix and mastering. The cover art was made by Maciej Kamuda (Blut aus Nord, Kalt Vindur, Stillborn). Guest vocals were performed by Hekte Zaren (Adaestuo) and Harvest (Outre).

With the flames of the Bursting Church still ravaging the minds and turntables of its parishioners, Stress Angel throw another scalding 40 minutes of maniacal deathrash into the blaze!

At the forefront, the songwriting on “Punished by Nemesis” demonstrates the maturation (or putrefaction) of Stress Angel’s already established sound, driving deeper into the twisted corridors of death, thrash, and first wave black metal. Weaving within, between, and beyond these classifications, the countless riffs on this album solidify Stress Angel’s reputation as not only wizened practitioners of the craft, but innovators as well.

Leading the punishment, drummer/vocalist Manny Sores continues his campaign of old metal piledriving with a thunderous performance that forces heads to bang and eventually roll (as a privileged few who have witnessed his mastercraft live can attest), while his tormented screams expose sickening truths about those who don the cloth and preach the holy word. Session soldier Hank S. Blackyard also returns on bass with his now-signature grim and gristly tone, beefing up the already muscular strings laid out with a butcher’s precision by guitarist Nicolai Orifice. All the while, the warm, familiar production evokes a feeling not unlike what one may have experienced dropping the needle on “Mental Funeral” or putting a dub of “Anno Domini” in the tape deck for the first time 35 years ago.

Hear the Jericho trumpet blare to herald “Punished by Nemesis”, a necessary evil for those who crave to be punished by authentic thrashing metal of death. Ancestral Blood was founded in the mid-late 90s by Charles Lucia, better known as Verigo of the Extreme black metal band Vesterian. After several line-up changes and hiatuses, the band was reborn in 2016 with drummer Void and vocalist Circe. The band recorded their first full-length "Forgotten Myths and Legends - Chapter 1" in 2021 and released their first single "Through the Enchanted Forest of Illusions" in 2022. In January 2023 the band signed with the Italian label Wormholedeath. The band is now preparing to record "Forgotten Myths and Legends - Chapter 2".

"Forgotten Myths and Legends" is a musical journey that explores lost stories and legends from different cultures and eras. Each song is fascinating, epical, and well-crafted to take each listener back through an old world of magic, kings, and dark mystical times. The songs consist of furious yet mesmerizing guitars, celestial and melancholy atmospheres, and harsh vocals while drumming to the call of battle.

The singer and writer of the story Sami Ilvonen describes his feelings about the publishing of the album:

“I've always been a big fan of Sci-fi movies, series and books. Since the beginning of my musical career, it has been my dream to write a Sci-fi team album. It has been a long hard and tenuous process and it has felt almost impossible at times. Will this ever get done? Luckily, I have been surrounded by capable supportive musicians willing to push on and make it happen. I feel like I can smile and breathe again.”

The music is composed and produced by Toni Bite and Jukka Hoffrèn. The album was recorded and ready for release years ago, but was mystically lost by unknown reason to the earth orbit amongst other space debris. Luckily by some miracle it was rediscovered and finally it’s ready to be released.
