We are super stoked to announce Vicious Blade’s upcoming album, Relentless Force, on Redefining Darkness Records! Boasting vocalist, Clarissa Badini, of Death Metal fiends Castrator, Vicious Blade have quickly become Steel City’s best extreme metal export supporting acts such as Municipal Waste, Ghoul, Raven, Tower, Spiter, Tombstoner, Frozen Soul, Obituary, and most recently Heavy Metal legends Anvil!

Vicious Blade is a 5-piece relentless Thrash band forged from the Pittsburgh underground and features vocalist, Clarissa Badini, of Castrator fame. In 2020, the band released their 1st self-titled EP on Our Ancient Future Records supported by a year of regional shows. The follow-up, Siege of Cruelty, came a year later in 2021 which brought international press, festival dates, touring, and filming two music videos. Soon after, the band were asked to appear on Wise Blood Record’s compilation, Faster Than the Devil 2, alongside Blasted Health, The Gauntlet, and Bastard Cröss. 

Relentless Force is the band's strongest work to date, firmly planting their flag as not just another Midnight clone like so many others, but as quality band and true force to be reckoned with. The band plan to get back on the road this fall in support of the album with new labelmates, Gorgatron.

DEMONICAL RELEASE "VICTORIOUS DEATH - LIVE IN LATIN AMERICA"

 

PRESS RELEASE:

Swedish death metal extraordinaire DEMONICAL is gearing up to release its first ever live record, "Victorious Death - Live In Latin America", on August 30th (CD/MC/Digital) and September 27th (LP) via Agonia Records. The album constitutes tracks recorded during a tour of the eponymous region in September 2023, and is led by the single "Sun Blackened (Live)", available now on streaming platforms and accompanied by a music video.

The audio received a full-scale treatment featuring mixing at Wellbay Studios with Johan Hjelm, and mastering at Pentagram Music Studios by George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child, ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Necormanita). The album artwork was created by Chris Kiesling.

 DEMONICAL mastermind Martin Schulman commented: "After eighteen years and several hundred shows world-wide it’s finally time for the first Demonical live full-length! We are very proud of this album - which was recorded during our ravishing Latin America tour in September last year - as it catches us in the raw and brings forth our Swedish death metal darkness in a pure and relentless way. We would like to thank our fans and followers for the support and dedication during all these years. You are the best, this album is for you!"

DEMONICAL was spawned in 2006 by then-former Centinex members, Martin Schulman (bass), Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) and Johan Jansson (ex-guitars & ex-vocals), with a mission to return to the roots of death metal. The now-fivepiece has made good on that promise with a vengeance, traversing a HM2-beaten path of melodic, Swedish death metal, replete with darkness and brutality. Their last release, 2023's "Into Victory", crowns a discography of seven studio albums and three EPs, interlaced with regular tours. The last of them, "Titans Of Darkness Tour", has seen the band journey across Europe with Inquisition in spring 2024, with majority of shows sold-out.

In the end of 2021 Försti (guitar) and Wally (drums, vocals) were in the mood and got together to jam some Stoner/Doom tunes from Electric Wizard, Black Sabbath, Sleep etc. and hanging out from time to time. Genre-specific, they knew what they wanted. After some sessions and finding the right sound, they concentrated on writing their own songs - a few ideas got discarded. Bit by bit, they extended their backline/equipment in the rehearsal room, because they needed to add more low-end to the guitar. In the end, there was a huge backline that drove their sound and they decided to not put in any bass-guitar as an instrument separately: they just wanted to make "guitar-only" music. Later, their friend Jonny (lead guitar) joined the band at the end of 2022. Henceforth, the songs were rearranged and fine tuned. In August 2023 Vast Pyre opened for the Festival "Burgbrand Open Air" and shared the stage with bands like EREMIT and INDIAN NIGHTMARE, to name just a few. That should be the only concert they played that year, because first they wanted to record/mix their stuff, what they eventually did from November 2023 to February this year.
