"Oblique" is a heartfelt chapter in the unfolding narrative of the Canadian band Passage. It’s their fourth studio album, but distinctly the second journey into a refined musical ethos that began with 2022’s “Voyage.” Set to touch hearts on November 10, 2023, the album is a self-released endeavor that humbly offers an instrumental voyage through the realms of Post-Rock, Progressive Rock, Shoegaze, and Cinematic music.

The trio—Sébastien Robitaille (guitars, bass, male choirs, additional piano & instrumentation), Thierry Nadeau-Cossette (piano & orchestration), and Luc Gaulin (drums & percussion)—have carefully crafted a tapestry of emotions within the six tracks of “Oblique.” Each track is a whisper of life’s ephemeral moments, exploring the soft melancholy of farewells, the fragile hope that blossoms in adversity, and the silent acceptance of life’s oblique challenges.

The title “Oblique” itself is a gentle acknowledgment of life’s unpredictable turns, often coming from the most unexpected directions, leaving us with a myriad of emotions to navigate through. This album is a modest ode to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of these unforeseen challenges.

The recording journey took them to the quaint ambiance of Hell Studio, Donnacona (Québec), where Sébastien Robitaille meticulously engineered and mixed the sounds, with Nick Tremblay lending his mastering touch to ensure the essence of each note reached the listeners intact. The album’s visual identity was tenderly crafted by Véronique Mercier, while the viola’s soft murmurs were brought to life by guest musician Catherine Elvira Chartier.

For those who find solace in the ambient musings of bands like We Stood Like Kings, Sigur Ros, or King Crimson, “Oblique” by Passage might whisper the right notes to your heart. It’s not just an album, but a humble invitation to traverse through the myriad shades of human emotions, with each track being a step closer to both external and internal realms of understanding and acceptance.

Two years after their acclaimed Thrall of Winter's Majesty, international black metal duo Ringarë is about to release their new studio effort, Of Momentous Endless Night.

Born from the unity of purpose of two prolific musicians, American Alex “Esoterica” Poole (Skáphe, Chaos Moon, Nattfärd, Ars Hmu and many others) and Swedish Likpredikaren (Nattfärd, Ars Hmu, Demonomantic and more), Ringarë has grown a dedicated cult following over the years.

In their own words, the two artists describe “Of Momentous Endless Night as an album which carries forth the chaos that was born with Sorrow Befell (Iron Bonehead, 2020). Although a darker and more aggressive companion to the predecessor demo, this full-length takes it's own unique path, treading where the band has not gone before with 4 tracks of hateful, sorrowful black metal. Past battles, nefarious rituals, and Satanic summonings fuel the triumphs to behold within this sinister saga. The stories told are not of this plane; nor can they be considered past, present, or in the future. Each listen pulls them closer to this desolate world. Join us!”

Damned to Downfall delivers a unique soundtrack to the downfall of mankind by combining Black and Death Metal with Industrial and Electro to breathe new life into Industrial and Extreme Metal.

Damned to Downfall started in 2019 where a foundation of old-school Death Metal was revitalized with Industrial/EBM together with the ferocity of 21st century Black Metal which resulted in the 2020 EP ”Born to Breed” and 2021 album ”Embrace Your Extinction”.

After the release of the “Slavery for You” EP on July 28th the sixth video for “Chaos Reign” is released today which continues to showcase Damned to Downfalls unique sound with a video of AI generated visions of a post apocalyptic world.

West Coast deathgrind practitioners CATTLE DECAPITATION today unleash their brand new video for "Solastalgia." The track comes by way of the band's critically lauded tenth studio album, Terrasite, released earlier this year via Metal Blade Records. The video was directed by David Brodsky and vocalist Travis Ryan and produced by Allison Woest for My Good Eye: Music Visuals.

Though many bands have tried, no one articulates the real apocalypse humanity is facing as vividly and succinctly as CATTLE DECAPITATION. With 2019's Death Atlas, they reached the apex of this, perhaps leading some to believe they had no place left to go beyond such an achievement, but alas, the band returned with Terrasite, which is as bold a statement as they have ever made. Roaring to life with the savage yet hauntingly melodic "Terrasitic Adaptation" and advancing through the likes of the relentless "We Eat Our Young" and culminating with the ten-plus minutes of "Just Another Body," Terrasite is an album that constantly shifts dynamics and demands a variety of emotional responses. The third opus magnum "Summa Negativa" from Psicosfera arrived.

On March 25th 2023 modern thrash metal outfit OVERT ENEMY performed at the 21st annual "Thunder In The Hill Country" Biker Rally in Bandera, Texas. To celebrate the occasion OVERT ENEMY recorded their entire 75 minute-long set which includes songs from both EP's, their favorite SLAYER covers and three brand new songs from their upcoming album. The live album Overt Enemy: Official Live Thunder in the Hill Country 2023 will be released on Sept 22nd, 2023.

That’s a pretty accurate way to describe what went down in Bandera, Texas at the 'Thunder in the Hill Country' Biker Rally. We’ve been chopping away at our new album for a bit, really missed playing live and figured what better way to break in the new guy (drummer Saul Castillo) than to road test some new songs with a bunch of rowdy bikers! So we packed our recording gear into the rental van, grabbed the crew and hit the road for the 'biggest little party in Texas'. Apparently we were the first metal band to play the event in its 21 year history and we kicked off Saturday night's concerts with a proper Texas thrashing…75 minutes of pure face melting aggression….and captured the whole damn thing! Rather than wait for our new album release we thought the longtime OVERT ENEMY family would appreciate some new blood in their ear holes so we had our brother Rob Canales at Red Barn Studios mix the whole set. We appreciate you guys and hope you’ll crank it up in the car or at your next BBQ and have a good time…make sure you stretch your necks appropriately" - OVERT ENEMY

Mourning Wood was formed in 2021 at Kainuu, Finland by Jussi Holopainen (Vocals), Eino-Akseli Koski (Guitars), Lari Lämpsä (Bass) and Hanna-Leena Lassila (Drums) after the disbanding of their previous band "Selvityksen Alla". Their music has somber echoes of classic Finnish metal such as Sentenced, but the groups musical roots are also influenced by acts such as Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol and Type O Negative.
