On 30 September "Age Of Dysphoria", the second album by the Viennese melodic death metallers Vermocracy, will be released via Black Sunset/MDD. Friends of dark melodic death metal with a clear homage to the genre greats of the 90s will certainly enjoy it, because stylistically and in terms of content, the band draws a dystopian picture of the failure and decay of modern society with powerful riffs, earthy grooves and bestial vocals. With "Necrocracy", a first sample is now available on the label's YouTube channel. In addition to the CD release, there will also be a chic aluminum box containing the album as well as a few additional gimmicks such as patches and stickers and a signed autograph card.

HARVEST OF ASH sonically is a meticulous blend of Doom Metal, Post Metal, Sludge, and Hardcore. Ache And Impulse pummels the listener with colossal riffs, spacey interludes, and triumphant resolutions throughout the album's five epic tracks, which clock in at over 40 minutes.

Thematically, these tracks invoke the four stages of a migraine headache to take listeners on a personal journey from self-loathing to self-affirmation. We become ensnared in the morals of broken people (prodrome and aura). These narrow standards stifle our instincts and gifts (headache). Yet, we can emerge from this mental fog and embrace who we truly are (postdrome). Enthralling and devastating, HARVEST OF ASH pushes the boundaries to the extreme while bringing the beatdown.

"Ache And Impulse" was engineered and mastered by Metal maestro Andy Patterson (Sub Rosa, Cult Leader, The Otolith). For fans of Amenra, Black Sabbath, Boris, Cult of Luna, Electric Wizard, High On Fire, ISIS, Melvins, Neurosis, Pelican, Russian Circles, Saint Vitus, Sleep, and YOB

This eclectic sound is little surprise given the band’s origins. It is the culmination of members Grahm Reynolds (bass), Mike DiTullio (drums), and Pepper Glass (guitar and vocals) playing for decades in both East and West coast projects. After they found themselves in Utah, they found each other.

And the experience of creating a migraine-themed album? With a wry smile, they’ll tell you that it’s been one big headache.

The footage was compiled at a soundstage in San Francisco and was edited into music video-style clips that is available on Blu-Ray accompanying the CD with bonus photos and liner notes plus a button and sticker in a longbox. Staying true to the record, the performances feature Gene Hoglan behind the kit! This version is limited to 6,500 units worldwide.

Virtuosic extreme metallers OBSCURA are ready to start their European tour, to finally take their acclaimed sixth studio album A Valediction out to their fans live.

To celebrate this, they have released a brand new video for 'The Neuromancer', their latest single from A Valediction.

'The Neuromancer' was filmed by Mirko Witzki (Arch Enemy, Powerwolf, Kreator) at the famous Kupfersaal in Cologne, Germany in August 2022. The theatre was built in 1820 and has been protected for decades after being declared a historic monument.
