“That Which Is Not” concept, and how Discorporate was born :

"The core and direction of this album is based on this absolute freedom that this dark genre should always stick to, despite this oh so contradictory dogmatic behavior of this scene in general. So I decided to look toward the East, and inspire my journey through the old Vedic writings, where one would face himself within and without, transcending this materialistic dual world illusion they call "Maya", symbolically, and metaphorically. Freeing this "night music" from this aspect, where "God" or "satan" are just not there. Here we are, sailing through the cosmic wave, no matter where it brings us, and this is the reason why I feel close to the term ‘Chaos Metal’ when defining the Discorporate music".

Later, drummer David Sikora ( Krigsgrav ) joined the project, and JT Longoria ( producer of King Diamond, Absu and many more ) took care of the production, mixing and mastering.

The sigil creation was an amazing experience, as after a long explanation of the concept, Nornagest ( leader of the Black Metal band Enthroned and owner at Ibex Design ) found an idea perfectly matching what the band was aiming at, which is the Shiva symbol into the chaos star.

The album title, “That Which Is Not” is the definition of the name Shiva, third and last phase of the life cycle ( from the Vedic “Trimurti”) representing destruction.

DEATH ANGEL, MR. BIG, SEBASTIAN BACH & DR. SIN CONFIRMED FOR SUMMER BREEZE BRASIL 2024

Thrash metal masters DEATH ANGEL, hard rockers MR. BIG and SEBASTIAN BACH and heavy metal trio DR. SIN have been confirmed for the 2024 of the SUMMER BREEZE BRASIL festival.

DEATH ANGEL: currently featuring Mark Osegueda (vocals), Rob Cavestany (guitar) from the original lineup, alongside Ted Aguilar (guitar), Damien Sisson (bass) and Will Carroll (drums), the American thrash metal group Death Angel emerged in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 80s. At the time, they became known as the Bay Area prodigies. The demo-tape "Kill As One" (1986), produced by Kirk Hammett (Metallica), led to a contract with Enigma, which released the debut "The Ultra-Violence" (1987) and "Frolic Through The Park" (1988 ). After the first world tour and the move to Major Geffen came the cult hit "Act III" (1990). Despite the great musical performance, there were problems with management. The situation worsened after an accident with the tour bus, which ended up leaving Andy Galeon unable to play the drums for a long period. The unexpected tragedy, added to the existing legal problems, led to the closure of activities. The years passed and offers for shows kept the musicians excited. Thus, the group resumed their career in 2001. Since then, they have released the albums "The Art of Dying" (2004), "Killing Season" (2008), "Relentless Retribution" (2010), "The Dream Calls for Blood" ( 2013), "The Evil Divide" (2016) and "Humanicide" (2019).

SEBASTIAN BACH: fans enjoyed and thrilled with Skid Row's presence at the first edition of Summer Breeze Open Air Brasil. However, there were many requests for the organization to go after the band's former singer: Sebastian Bach. Until 1995, Bach and Skid Row released "Skid Row" (1989), "Slave to the Grind" (1991) and "Subhuman Race" (1995), enjoying success. After that, in mid-1996, they separated and Bach pursued a solo career, recording the albums "Bring 'Em Bach Alive!" (1999), "Angel Down" (2007), "Kicking & Screaming" (2011) and "Give 'Em Hell" (2014). "Standing behind the microphone and screaming until I can't stand it anymore. That's what I am, that's what I do best. I'm Sebastian Bach, the original 'Youth Gone Wild' from the USA", he once told Roadie Crew magazine .

MR. BIG: American hard rock band Mr. Big stood out in the 80s and 90s with their unique approach to the genre, incorporating elements of classic rock, instrumental virtuosity and catchy melodies. Eric Martin (vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass) and the late Pat Torpey (drums) achieved great commercial success with their second album, "Lean Into it" (1991), notably the ballad "To Be With You". One of the band's most memorable events occurred in Brazil, when they played in 1994 for around 100,000 people at the M2000 Summer Concerts festival, in Santos (SP). Idolized in Brazil, the group has released nine albums, including "Mr. Big" (1989) and "Bump Ahead" (1993). His most recent studio release is "Defying Gravity" (2017), which featured Matt Starr replacing Torpey, who passed away in February 2018 due to complications from Parkinson's disease. The band's return was announced in 2021, with concert plans in 2023, and Nick D'Virgilio was announced as drummer for "The Big Finish Tour 2023-24". Expect a performance full of hits, as Mr. Big's career brings them in droves: "Addicted to That Rush", "Wind Me Up", "Alive and Kicking", "Daddy, Brother, Lover", "Little Boy ( The Electric Drill Song)", "Lucky This Time" and others.

DR. SIN: if the power trio Dr. Sin has a history of respect when it comes to presence at major festivals, including Rock in Rio, Hollywood Rock, M2000 Summer Concerts, Live N' Louder, Skol Rock and Monsters of Rock, will now include the Summer Breeze Open Air Brasil in 2024. Furthermore, the trio, which currently includes the brothers Andria Busic (vocals and bass), Ivan Busic (drums and vocals) and Thiago Melo (guitar), has already shared the stage with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple, Pantera, Ian Gillan, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Glenn Hughes and Kiss. Promoting "Back Home Again" (2019) and having released the CD/DVD "Acústico Dr. Sin", recorded live at Teatro Safra (SP), the group also celebrates the 30th anniversary of their debut album, "Dr. Sin" .
