Biography:

Their music is a powerful shock of hard'n'heavy, the epicenter of their musical earthquake is Europe. Their name is a naked and raw denunciation addressed to the obscure society in which we live, their strength is in music: In the last two years the Black Violence played on many Italian and international stages, not only live pubs and music clubs but also festivals and contests - to remember the German tour after the publication of their self-produced EP “Hell Is Coming”, the Ants Of The Sky Festival and the Pad Is My Home - Rebel Day of Collegno in 2017, the Sbamfest at the Mothership in Turin in 2018 and three Emergenza Festival editions during which the band had the pleasure of performing at Hiroshima Mon Amour, El Barrio and, on the occasion of the semi-final, the “Audiodrome”.

Influenced by the aggressive mood of the alt metal and the lines of hard rock, the band offers a very personal sound, with industrial, pop rock and blues, which, with the intent of moving its steps forward, is able to make treasure of the past.

As main man Kevin Kross says:

"I started the project in November 2017 because I wanted to learn to scream and write a Death Metal album all by myself for the first time. And I wanted to push myself on my bass playing which I have been playing since 2007. After that, I needed a theme for the project and the songs. Being a big Marvel fan, especially everything with Venom or the symbiotes, it seemed fitting to call it Venomized. However, even though I was alone in the writing process, I had a lot of help from my friend (Alex Wolf), who played all guitars on the album and did the mixing and mastering.

My musical background in the metal scene is quite vast. Death Metal, Technical Death, Deathcore, Melodic Death, Thrash, Symphonic and Blackened Death to name a few. On the other hand, for my debut album (Death Row), I decided to do something I really wanted for a long time, to write a Death Metal album with old and new school elements which has been well received so far. The fact that it is a solo project is great to me since I can experiment with almost anything Death Metal related. As it stands, I am currently working on my second release, which will be heavier, faster and more diverse."

ASGAARD RELEASE "WHAT IF..."

After 10 years break, in the first quarter of 2022 Polish band ASGAARD will release long awaited new studio album titled “What if…”.

“What if…” is the brand new, seventh album in the band’s career and a follow-up to a critically acclaimed “Stairs To Nowhere”. This time around, Asgaard reinvents its formula and the album is the first ever of their releases to feature more rock-oriented sound, rather that straight-up metal one. “What if…” is the very first record in band’s discography with songs composed in more traditional way, full of beautiful melodies and grand, epic choruses. Band enters another novel territory – two out of eight songs on the album are sung in Polish, which language native to the members of the group. Additionally, Asgaard included stylistic features of the broad genre of electronic music in the intricately structured new songs. New album still retains characteristic sense of romance and nostalgia, present in the band’s outputs since the beginning. Such emotional load brings to mind bands like Katatonia, Amorphis, Moonspell, Opeth, Anathema.

“What if…” is a triumphant return of Poland’s rock/metal avant-garde.
