REVIEW: CHAOSPHERE - COSMIC WARHEAD

CHAOSPHERE - COSMIC WARHEAD (Independent, 2001)

Recorded Oct 2000 - Jan 2001

Tracks: 1- Payback, 2- State of Terror, 3- Personal God, 4- 72, 5- Djihad

How can I define the music of this band? Well, I think the better way is to define it like a cross between heavy, power and thrash metal, being the first two influences the clearer ones. There are riffs that could be from a thrash metal band of the eighties, and some clean guitar intros like the one in "State of Terror" that are really good. The sound of this recording is not so good (the vocals are mixed really high and the guitars are buried in the mix). The vocalist sound like some vocalist that used to thing thrash metal in the mid eighties (it reminded me of the guy in Raven in the fastests tracks). This guys can do it better with more time to mix and maybe adding some more original ideas.Favorite tracks: "Personal God" and "State of Terror". Contact: www.chaosphere-area.com
