ORDER OF DECAY RELEASE "MORTIFICATION RITES"

Sentient Ruin is proud to finally announce that mysterious Scottish dark doomed death metal behemoths Order of Decay are about to emerge with their crushing debut album "Mortification Rites", a blackened necrotic specter of omnipotent, atmospheric, slow-moving death. 

The colossal work has been teased by Metal Injection via an exclusive premiere of the song “Blood Libation”, remarking how the track is “is sure to drag your day way down into the blackest reaches of nothingness” - you can check out the track and feature HERE.

Humongous in its scope and vision, and inexorably annihilating, "Mortification Rites" sees the anonymous collective construct massive and enveloping visions of moribund decay, conjuring premonitions of total doom across a forty-six minute, eight-track death-devoured sonic abyss. The album's immense and lightless aura is brought forth by an onslaught crushing and dissonant guitars enshrouding a monolithic, telluric rhythm section. Keyboard-laden soundscapes and necrotic vocal proclamations feed its imposing aura further, shaping a sonic beast of truly otherworldly traits. The work falls beautifully within the framework of the recognizable and iconic contemporary UK death-doom and dark death metal scene, following excellently in the footsteps of bands like Indesinence, Esoteric, Pantheïst, Grave Miasma and Cruciamentum, with its dismal atmospherics and oppressive onslaughts of dark, dissonant crushing, yet melodic guitar work. But "Mortification Rites" also brings a whole new breadth of darkness and destruction to the platter, often branching out into the same realms of infernal sonic maelstrom we've seen from Finnish dark death metal acts like Desolate Shrine, Maveth and particularly Krypts, to bring forth its own vision of absolute, abyssal death metal bedlam. 

While anonymous, Order of Decay are no newcomers to the darkest death metal craft, and are formed by long time veterans of the UK underground death metal scene.

ZEIT was founded in 2010. After a self-titled demo, the first 3 EPs "Wintersturm", "Trümmer" (2015) and "Gram" (2016) followed as a trinity. The first album “Konvergenz” was released on tape and CD in 2017.

The "null."-EP from 2018 slowed down two old ZEIT songs to Funeral Doom tempo. The second album “Drangsal” followed in 2019. In 2021, "Betonkrebs", a half-hour excursion into grind punk, was released as a limited tape release.

The new album follows the development of “Drangsal”. Recorded in our own “Studio 357”, “Ohnmacht” musically once again falls through the net - somewhere between Sludge, Doom, Death and Black Metal. Produced and released by ourselves, the DIY approach allows musical freedom. "Ohnmacht" will be released on vinyl, CD and tape.

Following up on the epic 2014's full-length This Will Decay, 28-year US extreme metal titans Inferion re-emerge with their most extreme material to date. Inequity showcases 55+ minutes of melodic Black/Death Metal desecration, with firmly-planted songwriting utilizing dual vocal stylings, heavily down-tuned guitars, grinding bass tones, and double-bass-oriented drum groove patterns sure to supplant the seasoned headbanger.

Inferion has returned even closer to their roots, presenting an album full of angry, melodic, yet pensive atmosphere, including soaring instrumentals to hold listeners afloat before resubmerging them into the depths of existential high seas. With drum engineering courtesy of Studio Wormwood (Fires In The Distance, Stone Healer) and mixed/mastered by Robert Kukla of Obsidian Studiou (Aeon, Obscura, Hammerfall) in the famed Studio Fredman facility in Sweden, Inequity harkens back to the days of early Swedish death metal, yet delivered with state-of-the-art recording techniques of the modern day.

SHODAN is a death metal three-piece conceived in Wrocław, Poland in 2013. Distinctive style of the band is a unique hybrid of death metal brutality, progressive approach towards song structures and melodies deeply rooted in cold wave aesthetics. In 2015 SHODAN together with producer Arkadiusz "Malta" Malczewski recorded tracks for their debut LP called "Protocol of Dying". The record was released in spring 2016 under the cooperative flags of Defense Records and Deformeathing Production. The album was followed by a dozen of live appearances with acts like Sinister, Absu, Beheaded or Rotting Christ as well as appearances at festivals such as Gothoom, Into the Abyss, Metalmania or Castle Party.

After a successful cooperation with producer Kuba Mańkowski (Azarath, Behemoth, Blindead), in April 2020, the band released "Death, Rule Over Us" via Deformeathing Productions, which introduces a slightly different approach towards music with more experiments, raw, organic sound and cold wave melodic influneces involved. The album was again followed by a series of gigs with Hate, Krzysztof Drabikowski’s Batushka, Rotting Christ and Blood Incantation, and summer festivals, like Summer Dying Loud.

In 2023 SHODAN signed a record deal with Time To Kill Records to release their newest opus “None Shall Prevail”.
