PRESS RELEASE:

Release Date: January 20, 2022

FFO: Soreption, Beyond Creation, Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation

Label: DyMM P&M

Neuropsy is a Death Metal band from Setúbal, Portugal, formed in 2016 by Fábio Abenta (vocals), João Martins (guitar), Jorge Leitner (bass) and Oleg Lozhkin (drums). The band has released one EP in 2017 focusing on Egyptian lyrical themes and a full-length album on 2018, focusing on gore, death, doom and destruction based lyrical themes, with an old school sound, raw, groovy and straight to the point.

As for the new upcoming EP ''Vivisection Of The Demented'' soon to be released in January 2022, the band has worked on this record for the past three years. There has been lineup changes throughout this period, having the current line up been completed as of recently, consisting of Fábio Abenta (vocals), João Martins (guitar), Flávio Kebras (guitar) and Jorge Leitner (bass). The band is currently without a drummer. The main themes for the songs on this record are based on the human fragile psyche. It dwells deeper on the problems of the mind such as depression, dementia, schizophrenia, among other mental disorders. It draws from different perspectives, such as personal introspective on the sickness, the outcome of your being determined by those in power of your life, the simple understanding of our meaningless existence, and even satire regarding the lunacy and insanity of our mindset. The music presents you with some solid death metal riffage, with a good balance of heaviness, melody, groove and rhythm variations.

HELLPIE RELEASE "LONG GONE INTO OBLIVION"

PRESS RELEASE:

Release date: October 29, 2021

Wo-Fat, Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Gravehuffer

Hellpie makes heavy music for people that eat pie. Specifically evil pies. Not like apple pie, but really tormented, sadistic pies. This groove metal concoction is infused with Edward Simpson on vocals and guitars, Bryon Ciotti on bass, and Steve 'bones' McKay on drums.

Their fourth album “Long Gone Into Oblivion”, with six tracks and a subtle nod to Mike Bossier at Oblivion studios, has some heavy riffs, some thick grooves and some deeps thoughts. It’s starts you off on your journey with current events like our struggles with social justice and civil rights and the stigma to choose a side in the track “Rubber Bullets”, a tune with an urgent flow and an air raid breakdown. Then they touch on the subject of climate change and how the temperature is rising in “Burned Alive”, and how our earth is fighting back against the human virus. As we are taking more than we need and we ask are we in fact “Long Gone “(with guest vocals by Jeremy Dyer) too far down the road to our own destruction to turn back. Which leads us to our current challenge to remain strong and fight on in this “World of Pain” with a driving main riff that changes to a swaying break that rocks back and forth like choppy waves at sea. Through it all we must in fact become as one to create a rebirth and a “New Reality”. We must plant a new seed and grow a new future. In this song there is calm, there is turbulence and then there is unity. In the end of this journey, we find that although we start at the bottom and we walk a tight rope through life we will fight on and together we will “Rise”. Enjoy the ride!

SINFUL WAYS RELEASE VIDEO FOR "MANHATTAN"

PRESS RELEASE:

Ottawa, Canada's Sinful Ways have a new music video for their track "Manhattan" off their sophomore EP "Darkest Days" that was recently unleashed on December 10th.

Designed for mosh pit debauchery, the song draws inspiration from the atomic bomb it's named after. Lyrically, "Manhattan" has more of a political focus, criticizing mans need for dominance and superiority while disregarding the needs of society. If you listen closely to the outro section in Manhattan, the bass part was played by drummer Dave Matlak hitting the open string with drum sticks.

Watch and listen to "Manhattan" via its premiere on Hardcore Worldwide's YouTube channel - https://youtu.be/nlwhMnWzvvc

Sinful Ways' new EP "Darkest Days" blends melodic and thrashy elements along with three members sharing vocal duties, bassist Brad Lake doing cleans, drummer Dave Matlak doing main screams, and guitarist Frank Lahache on backing screams. The recording is an eighteen-minute exploration of war, anarchy, third world struggles, and mental health. Engaging fans with a mood-setting intro of crows, bells, and the wind, Sinful Ways lay a path into the opening track 'Vow of the Devil', a riffy, thrashy melodic vs. harsh experience. From there that band gets your fist-pumping with the anthemic 'Bury The Hatchet', which only gets you prepared for the perfectly titled 'Manhattan', an atomic bomb song solely written with a mosh pit in mind. To close out the EP, fans will experience 'Pursuit', the band's most adventurous song that features an orchestral arrangement at the start before slamming into harmonized, sweep picking guitars.

The band adds about "Darkest Days":

"Everyone struggles from time to time; we even recorded this EP remotely during these Covid times. We believe we finally found a way to blend our various styles and elements to create some mosh pit favourites! We want people to remember why they got into metal, the energy, the fun, and the guitars. We want them to relive the days they discover good music! From front to back, we believe this EP holds a lot of musical value.”

"Darkest Days" was produced and mixed by Cameron Dunn and mastered by Scott Middleton at Hillside Audio in Toronto. EP Artwork by Nik Paquin.

Recommended for fans of Trivium, Parkway Drive, Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot, "Darkest Days" is available on digital platforms at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/sinfulways/darkest-days-ep and Sinfulways.bandcamp.com.
