KNOWLEDGE THROUGH SUFFERING RELEASE "CONCEALMENT"

PRESS RELEASE:

Blackened death-doom metal project KNOWLEDGE THROUGH SUFFERING is pleased to announce its upcoming album "Concealment", due out September 17th via Brucia Records.

The album track "God Alone was Exalted on that Day" is now premiering at No Clean Singing. Check it out HERE.

Suffocating, terrifying and otherworldly, the album combines dissonant and demonic black metal with 90’s death metal delivering a masterpiece of pure sonic havoc.

KNOWLEDGE THROUGH SUFFERING handles its aural weapons with purpose and in such a way they completely assault our senses, aggressively pummelling savage and cavernous riffs and burying them under huge waves of doom and complete darkness.

The lyrics deal with the esoteric notion of God’s disappointment for his own act of creation: holy words through unholy sounds, a sacred language expressed through music that is thick and suffocating and yet at the same time atmospherically enveloping, making “Concealment” capable of exhaling its fumes all the way up to the darkening skies.

A black metal album in spirit inside the hulking flesh of a massively heavy and dissonant early death metal monster.

Album tracklist:

01. God Alone was Exalted on that Day

02. Let the Earth Sprout

03. Of Flesh

TURN COLD RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "THE END OF MY ROPE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Turn Cold, a newly-formed crossover thrash band from Atlanta, Georgia, have just released “The End of My Rope”. The track, which has has been premiered exclusively at MetalBite.com, is taken from the Turn Cold’s upcoming debut EP Break Your Faith.

An intensely heavy and masterfully executed union of speed metal and hardcore, “The End of My Rope” takes influence from Turn Cold’s heroes including Metallica, Slayer and Cro-Mags.

The band commented: "We are proud to present our first offering to the readers here at MetalBite. We're anxious for everyone to hear the rest of the EP. If you're into it, share it with your friends. If you hate it, be sure to get on social media and tell the whole world about it. We thank you for your help either way. This one's for the thrash freaks and the 2-steppers."

Listen to “The End of My Rope” now at MetalBite.com: https://metalbite.com/news/12728/mb-premiere-turn-cold-the-end-of-my-rope

Born out of pandemic-induced isolation, Turn Cold began with living room demos and remote track trading between members. Their debut EP, Break Your Faith, captures the harsh reality of involuntary alienation. The events of the past year influenced vocalist Stenvik’s lyrical conjurations about the struggle to navigate the world’s current landscape. Musically and emotionally devastating, Break Your Faith is an incendiary debut.

Break Your Faith will be released on September 10 2021 and can be preordered here: https://turncold.bandcamp.com/releases

THE AGE OF ORE RELEASE "THE CALL" SINGLE

PRESS RELEASE:

For fans of Black Sabbath, Dio, Alice In Chains

Released July 23, 2021

The Age Of Ore just released a new track called ' The Call '. Thematically its a bit darker than previous songs, and is about a person who struggles with an addiction that brings them to the brink of death over and over again, and no matter what they do, they continue down this road until it takes their life.

The song starts off subtly, but soon comes in incredibly heavily, and switches between soft and heavy throughout the song, which exemplifies some of the thematic elements the song is about. The song has fast, chugging guitar riffs, melodic acoustic parts, a very heavy bass line, and powerful, in-your-face drumming.

MANTIC RITUAL SIGN WITH M-THEORY AUDIO FOR RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM

PRESS RELEASE:

Reunited thrashers MANTIC RITUAL have signed with M-Theory Audio. New music from the reunited group – featuring original members Dan Wetmore (vocals/guitars), Jeff Potts (guitars), and Ben Mottsman (bass) alongside new drummer Carlos Cruz (Warbringer, Exmortus, Hexen) – will be released later this year, but the first taste of the new riffs to come will be unveiled with a live performance on Thursday, August 26th at Supply & Demand in Long Beach, CA.

"This is Dan Wetmore with the first Mantic Ritual news in over ten years! We have reunited and working on a new EP for later this year via our recent signing with M-Theory Audio. With over twelve original songs already written, this will set the path for an imminent full-length album next year. Reviving Mantic Ritual isn’t something we’re taking lightly, we intend to best our debut album, "Executioner" in every way. The new material is true to our roots in Heavy Metal, Thrash/Speed and Punk. This is in our blood and it’s time to share with everyone. Mantic Ritual is ecstatic to work with M-Theory Audio and thankful for the opportunity furnished by Founder/President, Marco Barbieri. Cheers!"

The early beginnings of MANTIC RITUAL were birthed in the band's hometown of Pittsburgh in 2005. Performing initially under the name Meltdown, the group began building a buzz with Northeast heavy metal fans over the next two years with their combination of boundless thrash enthusiasm and superb songsmanship. The band moved across the country to Los Angeles in 2007, where performances alongside leaders of the budding Southern California thrash revival such as Warbringer, Fueled By Fire, and Merciless Death earned them attention from discerning metal audiences and a record deal with Nuclear Blast Records.

The group soon changed their name to MANTIC RITUAL, and released their first – and so far only – full-length record “Executioner” produced by Andy Classen (Asphyx, Tankard, Krisiun) in March 2009. The album received critical acclaim at the time of its release, with MetalSucks praising the band's “ability to display solid songcraft while maintaining a high-level of heaviness,” Blabbermouth taking note of their “passion, chemistry and intensity,” and the Washington Post noting that “MANTIC RITUAL’s old-school sensibilities act like a group hug that brings punks and headbangers together.”

MANTIC RITUAL followed up the release of “Executioner” with live touring alongside heavy metal titans such as Rotting Christ and Destruction, before dissolving in 2010. Potts and Mottsman later went on to join Warbringer for their 2013 release, “IV: Empires Collapse,” with Potts himself also performing on Gygax's 2018 release, “2nd Edition.” Potts, Mottsman, and Wetmore began writing and recording new music together - with Cruz (still a member of Warbringer) now joining them on drums – in the beginning of 2021.

The group's upcoming live performance on Thursday, August 26th at Supply & Demand in Long Beach, CA – their first since a one-off reunion at Thrasho De Mayo 2013 in Los Angeles - is only the beginning of this exciting new chapter in the story of MANTIC RITUAL. More information on new music from MANTIC RITUAL will be unveiled in the weeks to come by M-Theory Audio and at www.facebook.com/manticritual.

ILLYRIAN RELEASE "AEGIS"

PRESS RELEASE:

Illyrian

Aegis

Self-released

15 October 2021

Fueled and forged by the fires of death and thrash metal, Illyrian have returned with their third album Aegis. Metallers by trade and gamers by nature, this album draws unique inspiration from the gaming world - specifically Dark Souls.

Founded in 2015 in Calgary, Canada, Illyrian was formed from the remnants of several bands and music projects in their local scene. Seeking to bring together their different backgrounds and strengths, the band quickly set to work on what would become their debut offering, 2016's Round 2: Fight!

2019 marked the release of Illyrian's sophomore record, The Entity, Unknown. The album solidified the band's signature approach to the metal genre, blending elements of death and thrash metal with technical and melodic composition.

Adventuring out from their prototypical thrash metal roots while embracing the energy and drive from the genre, their sound further evolved into a more focused and precise vision, injecting elements of death metal and less conventional textures such as world percussion and traditional folk instruments into their music.

For their album, The Entity, Unknown, ILLYRIAN was awarded the 2020 YYC Music Award for “Metal Recording of the Year,” punctuating a comparatively quiet year for the unit. Soon after, the band set to work on writing and recording their next production – a concept EP. Intentionally narrowing the scope of it to fully explore and realize its story and musicality, it was written and refined in isolation from one another both due to circumstance and creative choice.

Now, with the EP recorded and ready to be unleashed, late 2021 will see the arrival of Aegis, and the return of Illyrian.

RUNESCARRED RELEASE "THE DISTANT INFINITE EXPANDED EDITION"

PRESS RELEASE:

Runescarred

The Distant Infinite Expanded Edition

Self-Released

24 September 2021

Runescarred’s 2020 album, ‘The Distant Infinite’, is re-releasing with six brand new acoustic tracks. Originally forming in 2017, the quintet from Austin Texas have made their mark with their evolving discography including the critically acclaimed 2018 E.P., “We Are”, and single “Being God”. The re-release celebrates Runescarred’s epic album featuring some new, dynamic, musical offerings.

“We are positively giddy to be releasing these tracks unto an unsuspecting world. These songs sit surprisingly comfortable beside our previous catalogue. The acoustic side is something we did not know we had in us, but we are sure glad to have discovered it!” ~ Runescarred

Combining epic, soaring clean and guttural, harsh vocals with powerful instrumentation, Runescarred deliver a dynamic sound. The quintet’s composition draws upon grounded metal attributes but elevates their music through incorporating their distinctive identity. Whether delivering a hard-hitting metal track, or delving into a softer acoustic piece, Runescarred pour utter emotion and storytelling into the heart of their sound. There is even an element of theatricality to their sound that elevates the atmosphere. From ludicrously intense shredding and melodic riffs to ethereal acoustic melodies, their music reaches another level.

Runescarred bring an exhilarating contribution to the world of metal, developing their music through inspired compositional techniques and performances. This re-release with new material celebrates their achievements and provides a glimpse into the band’s continuing evolution.
