THE CRAWLING RELEASE "SPARROW" SINGLE

PRESS RELEASE:

Northern Irish death/doom trio have announced plans for their new single, "Sparrow," set to be released via Grindscene Records on April 2nd.

PRE-ORDER: https://thecrawlingband.bandcamp.com/

Sparrow was recorded over the lockdown period, produced, mixed and mastered by vocalist/guitarist Andy Clarke. The song is a haunting tale of isolation, misery, and the emotional outcome of living a pointless life; amplified by the fact so many 'spectate' a chain of events, without offering support. Additionally the single features a surprising B-Side cover; a version of Bjork's "Play Dead."

The artwork was created by Irish artist Kelvin Doran from Serpent Tusk; a fantastic piece, uniquely designed for The Crawling, inspired by the lyrics and demo tracks.

Vocalist / guitarist Andy Clarke commented;

“I became so frustrated over the last year; i felt like our whole existence had come to an end; the endless cycle of nothingness was overwhelming. We began writing Sparrow, a tale of not fitting in and the purposeless of being, early 2020; all of a sudden it became clear we had to release it. We got work, and recorded our parts individually, It was a challenging process, but it worked. The Bjork cover was decided by drummer Gary; the lyrics and vibe fitted perfectly, and it was an enjoyable experiment to translate a pop song into doom death metal!”

BIOGRAPHY

Formed in the winter of 2014 in Lisburn city, Northern Ireland, The Crawling use a guttural vocal to combine melancholy with weight, churning out a heavy, doom/death ensemble.

January 2015 saw the debut single ‘Choking On Concrete,’ followed in October 2015 by the critically acclaimed In ‘Light of Dark Days' EP. April 2017 the bands debut album 'Anatomy Of Loss' was released via Grindscene Records, accompanied by five music videos, receiving excellent reviews worldwide, and was streamed exclusively by Metal Hammer UK. November 2018, ‘Wolves and the Hideous White’ features six tracks, building on the sound of their debut. The album did well with media and fans alike, increasing the fan base.

With live music on hold, and gatherings being kept to a minimum, and rehearsals being limited; The Crawling concentrated efforts on their most depressive track to date - “Sparrow,”  coupled with an interpretation of the Bjork track “Play Dead.”

The Crawling have spread the misery drenched album through a strong live performance, with support from a loyal fan base; most notably appearing at Inferno Metal Festival (Norway), Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Seige of Limerick (IRE), Metal Days (SLO), Shellshockfest (Malta), Uprising (UK), Incinerationfest (UK), Mammothfest (UK) and Full Metal Mensa (GER).

ANGELIC DESOLATION RERELEASE "RUMPUS TIME IS OVER" ALBUM AND "QUORUM OF UNSPEAKABLE CURSES" EP IN SPECIAL EDITION

PRESS RELEASE:

Angelic Desolation

Rumpus Time Is Over/Quorum of Unspeakable Curses special edition

Self release

2 April 2021

Colorado death metallers Angelic Desolation are preparing for a unique offering this spring: they are reissuing their 2018 album Rumpus Time Is Over, plus their 2020 EP Quorum Of Unspeakable Curses and commentary tracks of all the songs on both releases.  This creative format will give listeners insight into the band's history, personality, and songwriting process.

The release will be available digitally on April 2nd, 2021.

About Angelic Desolation

A death metal band with a full-scale sonic assault and a sound unique enough to call their own: American Razorgrind.

Emerging from Denver, Colorado's fruitful metal scene, ANGELIC DESOLATION is ready to take the world by storm.... Or slit throats in the name of Satan, whichever opportunity comes first. The band's combination of grind, thrash, and death metal, paired with outrageous horror-themed stage antics, makes for a musical presentation that audiences won't soon forget.

Dubbing their sound "American Razorgrind," Angelic Desolation released their debut EP Evilgasm in 2014. This was followed by the 2018 full-length Rumpus Time is Over, which carried the band to regional opening slots on Summer Slaughter, Bloodletting North America, and Devastation On The Nation as well as touring in the southwestern United States. Fans of Revocation, Aborted, Cattle Decapitation and the like will appreciate Angelic Desolation's brutal onslaught; Jay Medina spews guttural hatred over Matt Markle's precise guitar riffage, with bassist Chris Young and drummer Max Thunder comprising a forceful rhythm section that drives each song to its inhuman conclusion.

Fresh off the release of their latest EP, Quorum Of Unspeakable Curses, this blasphemous outfit has nowhere to go but up.  As reviewers put it, "Those that are more privy to tech death, death metal, or deathgrind are going to eat this up."  With their upcoming commentary reissue of their most recent releases, Angelic Desolation promises that 2021 will bring more gore, more rage, and even more merciless riffs.

NAHAYA RELEASE NEW ALBUM "VITAL ALCHEMY" AND VIDEO FOR "DEIFIC MASK"

PRESS RELEASE:

NAHAYA (ft. members of Oceans of Slumber, Vesperian Sorrow, ex-Kingdom Collapse, Painting The Massacre, Cerebral Desecration) will be unleashing their new album, entitled "Vital Alchemy" via Rockshots Records on May 21, 2021. The Texan band is an amalgamation of American melodic groove thrash, Gothenburg sounds, and Middle Eastern influences. The band was founded in 2013 by Ryan Peters with Semir Ozerkan, who immigrated to the US from Istanbul, Turkey to pursue career opportunities in metal, one being with Oceans of Slumber.

"Vital Alchemy" follows the band's well-received EPs "Transcendence Pt. II" (2020) and "Transcendence" (2018). Since the band's conception, they have been working hard to make a name for themselves independently, performing over 50 shows year-round in Texas and neighboring states including Austin's SXSW festival and becoming national finalists for the 2019 Wacken Metal Battle USA competition.

Mastered by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, Scale the Summit), "Vital Alchemy" is seven tracks that will take fans through a wide range of emotions. There is something on this record for every kind of music lover. From the melody to the groove to the speed and unlike its predecessors that were focused on themes of science fiction, this new record takes on more personal interest, spirituality, and metaphysics along with it being more musically dynamic and experimental, incorporating progressive, acoustic, melancholic sounds with thrashing elements.

Overall, "Vital Alchemy", signifies a rebirth for NAHAYA as the new tracks featured on the recording are the next step in the band's evolution when it comes to their musical direction.

Today, the band shares the first single "Deific Mask" in support of the upcoming full length. The track is one of the fastest on the release. It has pummeling drums, a nasty solo, and a hooky chorus.

The band adds:

"We are extremely excited to release our first single Deific Mask with our fresh new lineup. Deific Mask was written during a major lineup change within Nahaya. The song has a speed metal influence with a catchy clean vocal chorus. We think the song will be a definite circle pit starter live."

BIO

Making their debut in 2017, FLESHBORE independently released two EPs, including the latest installment. Malignancy, in 2018.

Playing shows extensively was a focus. Seeds were planted in the Midwest and along the New England area playing with bands such as Dying Fetus, Rings of Saturn, and Equipoise in support of their debut live performance.

After recruiting Tyler Mulkey on drums and Michael O'Hara on vocals, they released their latest single "Cynicism," which was recorded along with the rest of their debut full-length album Embers Gathering. Their goal from the band's formation was to break barriers both musically and mentally, while encouraging others to push themselves to do the same.
