Sonic Wolves was formed in 2012 by drummer Vita (ex-Ufomammut) and bassist/singer Kayt Vigil (ex-Pentagram and ex-The House of Hasselvander), Nico Nigro (ex-Mortuary Drape) on guitar complete the line-up. Originating in Alessandria, Italy, Sonic Wolves debuted in 2016 with "Before The End Comes" and followed up in 2018 with "Sonic Wolves," including two 7" singles, "He Said" and "He Said tour ed," in 2016 and 2017. In 2022 Argonauta Records released a 12” EP called “It’s All A Game To Me”, including two original songs in tribute to Lemmy and Cliff Burton.

Known for their heavy, dark, and gritty sound, Sonic Wolves draws inspiration from 70’s hard rock, proto-metal, psychedelic rock and blues, while infusing a fresh and bold approach. Since their activities began in 2015, Sonic Wolves has played across Italy and Europe, gracing festivals like Desertfest, HEADZ UP FEST, Tube Cult, Monolitix Fest, etc. Vita and Kayt Vigil bring extensive experience, with guitarist Nico Nigro adding a new dimension to their evolving sound. Together, they continue to push boundaries, delivering powerful compositions that resonate with their audience.

CRYPTIC CONFINEMENT Plumb The Depths Of ‘Tempestuous Demise’

Tempestuous Demise is the third installment from instrumental metal project, Cryptic Confinement. Following a similar writing formula as the previous two releases, the album will be characterised by intricate layers of guitars, relentless blast beats, carefully timed tempo changes and an adept focus on song arrangement.

Like the previous two releases, the album will borrow notes from several different sub genres of metal. Cryptic Confinement's main songwriter Zakk Weathersby, derives inspiration from countless musicians worldwide and thus finds it difficult to focus his songwriting on one sub genre. Having said all that, a few minor tweaks been made to keep the project's music from becoming redundant.

Listeners can expect to hear collaborations with notable musicians such as Rich Gray and Fabio Allesandrini of the Canadian thrash metal group Annihilator. Also performing on the album is Ukrainian black metal legend Lycane Graven of the bands Colotyphus and Pagan Land. Listeners can also expect some changes in production format that will exhibit Cryptic Confinement’s sound in a much more audacious and cataclysmic form.

From the ashes of the band Onera, Justin Christian (Bass, Guitars) and Craig Simas (Guitars, Synth) built Vigil to be heavier, and more aggressive but also beautiful and emotional. Joined by Joe Davis to compliment as one of the two bassists in the band, Brandon Phinney on drums and Dave Petillo on vocals. We take the listener down a dark road of sorrow and anger. One of the original building blocks of Vigil was to be as heavy as we could. This led to the decision to have two bass players. As the songs started to take shape and each member was putting their own touches to the arrangements. We realized quickly that we succeeded in our goal. Combining that with our love for Post Rock, Thrash, and Progressive Metal, Vigil is a showpiece for all our influences filtered through our ears, hands, and emotions.
