A re-imagined version of the self-titled debut "Intaglio" album originally released in 2005. The new version contains parts and sounds that were not included in the original version of the album, which is now in their place as originally intended. Every second of all the original source tracks underwent restoration and processing using top-class digital and analog equipment. Moreover, for the new version of the album, all drum parts were live recorded, without the use of triggering and sampling technologies, which is very rare nowadays. The album was restored and remixed by Evgeny Semenov (When Nothing Remains, Woe Unto Me, Sorrowful Land) at Slow Burn Studio, mastering was performed by Mika Jussila (Shape Of Despair, Isole, Unholy, Moonspell) at Finnvox Studios.

DEVOURER RELEASE VIDEO FOR "WHEN DEATH INHERITS THE EARTH"

Swedish/Russian black/death metallers Devourer are currently working on their fourth full-length and have now released the first single from the upcoming album.

The band comments: «We started working on the new album last winter and now we are more than half-way to completing it. This time we've worked differently than on our earlier releases since our line-up doubled in 2019. From being only John Falk and Fredrik Håf we've now added Oksana Rage (Teodolit) on bass and Johan Vikholm (Sorcery) on guitar. Håf handles the vocals as usual and Falk the guitars, recording, mixing and mastering. Devourer is still an independent DIY band and evolves with every release. The new album will be our best by far, still remaining true to our signature sound but developing it further.»

CARNAL RUIN is a four piece death metal band from Tampa, Florida. After self-releasing two demos, Immortal Domain (2018) and Gnosis of the Dead (2019), Floga Records (Greece) took note and released a compilation consisting of both demos entitled Gnosis of Immortal Domain at the beginning of this year. The band quickly went back to work and focused on creating their most ambitious material to date, effectively achieving a new level of intensity and brutality which resulted in a 4 song EP called The Damned Lie Rotting. Always drawing on their hometown roots, The Damned Lie Rotting is an amalgamation of the Tampa death metal sound with additional influences ranging from Entombed, Grave, Unleashed, Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death, and more. South African death metal band MONOLITH have released video of their guitarist Chris Paterson doing a playthrough of their song "The Profound Wells of Fire". The song was originally released on their critically acclaimed album The Lord Conspirator.

Chris commented: "The Profound Wells of Fire is one of the more varied songs on the 'Lord Conspirator', melding death and black metal riffs with odd time signatures. Lyrically the song represents the characters preparation for conflict and the stripping away of layers in search of greater understanding".

Nottingham Thrashers INCINERY announce sophomore album HOLLOW EARTH THEORY

Nottingham's “thrash kings”, Incinery have revealed their sophomore studio album HOLLOW EARTH THEORY will be released 30/10/20.

The album showcases the most refined example to date of the band’s trademark blend of 80s thrash and modern BRUTALITY. Drawing inspiration from a bleak mix of occultism, conspiracy theory and science fiction, HOLLOW EARTH THEORY delivers a whiplash nightmare tour of the titular hollow earth. This is a riff maelstrom by way of alien abduction, the novella of Harlon Ellison, alchemist Nicholas Flamel and existential cosmic annihilation.

Stalwarts of the UK thrash underground, INCINERY have shared the stage with legends of the genre such as Exodus, Hirax, Lawnmower Deth, & Savage Messiah. They have also appeared at major festivals across the UK and Europe including Bloodstock, Download, Damnation’s ‘Night of Salvation’, Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest and Metal Days (Slovenia) among many others.

'Hollow Earth Theory' was recorded and mixed by Chris Kenny, the band's guitarist. The drums were recorded and produced by Sam Bloor of Lower Lane Studios and the album was mixed and mastered by Peter Dowsett at RYP Recordings, Lecturer at Abbey Road Studios. The artwork was created by Dan Layton Graphic Design & Illustration. 

'Hollow Earth Theory' has everything you want from a thrash metal album. It has a huge wall of sound smashing your eardrums, anthemic melodies you will be chanting for years and the sheer brutality that will keeping heads banging.

Incinery said: “It’s very exciting for us to get Hollow Earth Theory out there. This is material we’ve been working on for a few years now and it’s definitely all the better for having had the time spent on it. We’re in the fortunate position that guitarist Kenny is a great sound engineer and that’s allowed us to create the exact sound we wanted for the album. We’re all very proud of the end result and feel it’s the best representation of our style to date.”
