SINNERY RELEASE "BLACK BILE"

Sinnery is a four-piece Israeli metal band that draws influences from thrash, melodic death, and modern core and churns them into a catchy yet abrasive, groovy yet aggressive unique blend of high-impact metal. Together since 2012, they are getting ready to release their second album later this year via Exitus Stratagem Records, and right now they are serving up the second single and title track “Black Bile”.

Sinnery’s lyrics come from very different places but on this record, vocalist/guitarist Alon Karnieli really focused on inner feelings and inner demons. The overarching lyrical concept for the album was to touch and exaggerate everything that is bad within them and show it out in the open. They expand on this in relation to the single:

““Black Bile” was picked to be our title track since the whole concept of the album is represented in the lyrics, it talks about killing the worst in yourself, all while keeping the finger pointed at the one who’s to blame - yourself. While musically “Black Bile” also represents what we love about modern metal and the essence of what our music turned out to be. It’s a heavy, upbeat banger that keeps attacking you right until the very end of the song.”

Musically, the album delivers what metal/rock fans want. Heavy riffs, high energy, melodies, and a great production that makes the passion and musicianship shine through. Each song is a story, and together they make a cohesive album that is non-stop headbanging from start to finish.

Sinnery is dramatic and extreme, their refreshing sound is recommended for fans of Testament, The Haunted, and Sylosis.

Eldprov (literally: fire test) is Swedish for ordeal or baptism of fire/trial by fire. The name perfectly symbolizes Sweden’s new melodic death metal band. CHAOS RECORDS is proud to present MORBUS GRAVE's long-awaited debut album, Lurking Into Absurdity, on CD format. Vinyl LP early 2023.

Formed in 2010 by A.th and Erman, MORBUS GRAVE's initial goal was to perform ancient death metal - and to this day, the band have never strayed from that. Due to lack of time, A.th left the band and let Erman to continue the path by himself. In early 2015, Erman found the right replacement in Maso on guitars and bass and Pide Guts on drums

Building on that lineup, MORBUS GRAVE's recordings came in earnest. First was the Throne of Disgust demo in 2016, after which time did Eros and Eddy join the band. A split with Lurking Terror followed in 2017. After a couple years of silence and yet more lineup changes, the grave was opened again, and out came the Awakening the Dead demo in 2019, which saw Johan join on guitar and Danny on drums. Later that year, the Abomination demo arrived, featuring this new lineup. However, following that demo's release, Johan left the band and Magiko joined as his replacement. A split tape with Deathfucker followed at the beginning of 2020 and then the two-song Promo '21, but at long last was MORBUS GRAVE's lineup consistent.

Like the old tape-trading scene from which they sprang, MORBUS GRAVE resurrect the spirit of OLD with their at-long-last debut album, Lurking Into Absurdity. Featuring eight songs across 38 minutes, Lurking Into Absurdity is a throwback to the early days of death metal, when the idiom but barely had a name, and only horror and headbanging mattered rather than record-collector categorization. And yet, with the emphasis squarely on simple-yet-strong songwriting and exquisitely articulate execution, MORBUS GRAVE here forego the usual "old school" tropes and unselfconsciously focus on content instead of form. Thus, while Lurking Into Absurdity will hardly be the most "extreme" death metal record around - no strict blastbeats, no gurgling gore, no overdriven or ultra-compressed production - its commitment to timeless values (and solos!) puts it in rarefied company.

If the very early works of Possessed, Death, Canada's Slaughter, Autopsy, and Sadistic Intent still ring true in the darkest of hearts, hear your favorite "new" old album with MORBUS GRAVE's Lurking Into Absurdity!

This is the current realm of Birth, San Diego’s most transcendental new band and purveyors of a form of vibrant and electrifying progressive rock that moves beyond time and space itself. In 'Born' their debut for Bad Omen Records, the listener is invited on a magic-eye journey through a Castenadean realm in which colours and sounds warp into kaleidoscopic dimensions. Yet far from the trappings of retro chic and fashion-aligned classicism, these five celestial serenades stake their claim in a different headspace to most other exponents of the form. Northern Krig was formed in 2021 at Oslo, Norway by Morfran (Vocals), Erik Lund (Guitars), Mikkel Stein (Bass) and Jonar Gunnarson (Drums), after the end of the guys previous band "Skyrsdag".

At the turn of the millennium, the congenial performance of the late ‚Skyrsdag‘ - the icons of Oslo’s underground Blackmetal scene with the elusive but all the more creative and indecipherable lead singer Morfran at its centre - had come to an unexpected and hushed/ wordless end.

When people began to notice that the project was disappearing, its members had already dropped off the radar, leaving nothing to explain the band’s vanishment to their dedicated fanbase or to fill the artistic void it left behind. Northern Krig have now torn open this oozing wound in those disciples’ hearts in a most brutal and intense way: thrashing their instruments with talons and claws, they mill their feelings into strings and skins, and the audience knows instantly that it can only mean one thing:

Otherwordly and intangible, like a ghost in the fog and yet real, as if the heart had been torn beating from the chest, Morfran has returned - as if he had never left. Accusingly he yells from inside our heads, „It was not me/I who left you, it was you“…
