Western Canada’s premier melodic death metal act, Tides Of Kharon, combine the engaging lyrical themes of Greek Mythology with the hard-hitting impact of classic, European style Death Metal. The group devastates their audience with monstrous grooves, catchy melodies and captivating stories.
Since their debut release in 2017, Coins Upon Our Eyes (Independent), Tides Of Kharon have developed their craft and dramatically expanded both their fan base and their resume. With their upcoming sophomore release, Tides Of Kharon have accomplished their proudest achievement to date, and they invite you to be seduced by the enthralling production of Titanomachy due to be released via Sliptrick Records in 2021.

German tech death metal institution PROFANITY will release their highly anticipated new album "Fragments of Solace" on December 4th, 2020.
The mission for this release is clear:
“We wanted to transport the vibe of the most important death metal releases for us from the 90s into the present and mix it with our vision of extreme music. For the type of music we play, some of the most influential albums were released in the 90s. This is the music we grew up with. This is the music we love and appreciate and of course we still listen to today.”
For this release the band invited again guests like Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation), Matt Sotelo (Decrepit Birth), Dave Suzuki (ex-Vital Remains, Churchburn), Dima Orlov (Fetal Decay) as well as their ex-bassist Martl Bauer. “Fragments of Solace” was mixed and mastered by Lukas Haidinger in his Deep Deep Pressure studios. The artwork was done by Federico Musetti.
The album's first single, "Towards the Sun", is now streaming AT THIS LOCATION. Also check out the lyric video for "Progenitor of the Blaze" HERE.

Biography:
Since 1993, the underground is shaking under the sounds of PROFANITY. The German tech death three-piece set a heavy mark with their albums “Shadows to Fall” (1997) and “Slaughtering Thoughts” (2000) as well as their tour in support of Cryptopsy in 2002 and their appearance at the Maryland Death Fest 2004 alongside Misery Index and Exhumed.
After some years of silence, the band spew out a new sign of live with their EP “Hatred Hell Within” (2014). It was recorded with Christoph Brandes in his Iguana Studios (Necrophagist o.a.).
On April 21st, 2017 “The Art of Sickness” was released. Its title revealed the route of the new material which is full of playfulness and technical brilliance while it strikes a balance between art and insane chaos. Recorded again at Iguana Studios with Christoph Brandes. To make the album even more diverse, the band invited guests like Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation), Adrie Kloosterwaard (Sinister), Ricky Myers (Disgorge, Suffocation), Christian Münzner (Alkaloid, ex-Obscura) as well as their ex-bassist Martl Bauer. The artwork was done by Pär Olofsson who already created images for albums by Exodus, Unleashed, Malevolent Creation o.a.
On December 4th, 2020, PROFANITY are returning with a new full-length: “Fragments of Solace”.

DeathOrchestra - a collaboration by Russian Death Metal band Buicide and the Olympic Symphony Orchestra performing covers of songs by Death - has released a live video for the track "Voice of the Soul." The song is taken from forthcoming live album Symphony of Death.
After many long hours and painstaking work, DeathOrchestra are proud to present the upcoming album Symphony of Death. The album, which will be released on December 13, captures a live performance from May 4, 2019 at the Opera Concert Club in Saint Petersburg during which DeathOrchestra performed covers of songs from the legendary Death.
"DeathOrchestra gives fans the chance to really home in on the sturdiness and majesty of Schuldiner’s writing. And, yes, to reflect on how well shredding violins complement shredding guitars."

RECENTLY VACATED GRAVES: TRUE ZOMBIE METAL rises once again from the grave with their latest rigor mortis-laden, brain-devouring EP, Devoured in Decay. Simply described as “zombie metal,” RVG:TZM continues to evolve its amalgamation of doom, death, and black metal with lyrics inspired by classic zombie films, while maintaining all the hallmarks of its classic sound.
As with past releases, Devoured in Decay’s lyrics focus on zombie-centric tales from the undead’s point of view. For example, “Section 8” pays specific tribute to Bub from the seminal 1985 film Day of the Dead, and “Hhrrrdd” is a wordless tale describing the journey of a horde of the undead.
Devoured in Decay is the first RVG:TZM release to feature major songwriting contributions by vocalist Clinton Ebadi, performance by longtime live vocalist Nick Schneider, and the varied and impressive talents of bassist/producer/engineer Johnn Harbinger. Lead guitarist Andrew Glaros, previously heard on the 2012 release Consumed by Death, returns with solos on “You Die” and “Section 8.”
Founded in 2007 and after releasing three studio records, Austrian symphonic power metal heroes DRAGONY return to their rock opera roots on their brand new album, Viribus Unitis, out January 15, 2021 via Napalm Records. Following up on the conceptual approach of their debut album, Legends, on the new album, the band unveils the true history of their home country. We return to the days when Austria was ruled by emperor Franz Joseph and his wife, empress Sisi – but forget everything you’ve heard and read so far!
Today the band has unleashed an energetic music video for their first single and album opener, “Gods Of War”, setting the stage for their imaginative historical concept to unfold.
DRAGONY about the track:
“The first single "Gods of War" is also the opening track of the album, and sets the stage for the story that is to come: The year is 1867, and Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria is forced to accept the terms of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise after suffering losses in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, effectively establishing the dual monarchy that became known as the "k. & k. Monarchy". In this situation, he is questioning whether his empire even has a future, or only its glorious past.
The music for the song was co-written by Tommy Johansson from SABATON & MAJESTICA with his partner in SYMPHONY OF TRAGEDY, Tomas Svedin, with the vocal lines and lyrics having been composed by our singer Siegfried. Musically, it's therefore a very "Scandinavian-sounding" song that adds another texture to the catalogue of DRAGONY, and we are already very much looking forward to playing this one live at future shows!“
SABATON’s Tommy Johansson on “Gods Of War”:
What DRAGONY did to “Gods of War” is far beyond what I could have expected it to turn out when this song was written. How they play and sing this song is just glorious! It’s so powerful and you can sing along to the chorus right away. I’m happy and honored I got to be a part of DRAGONY, and the song suits well to the rest of this epic album!”
What really happened at the time of the last Habsburg ruler of Austria, his wife and their son, the troubled Archduke Rudolf, is revealed by the symphonic power metal six-piece on their fourth full-length, Viribus Unitis. Let’s clear the assumption that Rudolph died after trying to take his life at castle Mayerling in 1889. No way! Instead, after his mother Sisi is assassinated in 1898 in Switzerland, he subsequently gets in contact with dark powers which, driven by his desire to be with her again, make him turn to black magic and demonology. Now history takes its true course. There are not only zombies and cyberpunks lurking – DRAGONY also managed to prove further entanglements of well-known personalities you could never imagine…
For the exciting adventure cemented in their upcoming album, the Austrians around former VISIONS OF ATLANTIS singer Siegfried Samer are supported by well-known colleagues like Tommy Johansson (SABATON, MAJESTICA, SYMPHONY OF TRAGEDY), Tomas Svedin (SYMPHONY OF TRAGEDY), Michele Guaitoli (VISIONS OF ATLANTIS) and Georg Neuhauser (SERENITY) - just to name a selection. Mixing and mastering on Viribus Unitis was handled by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann of ORDEN OGAN in his Greenman Studios in Germany.
Singer Siegfried Samer on the new album, Viribus Unitis:
"Viribus Unitis marks both a return to our musical roots as well as a next step into the future for DRAGONY, as we are returning to a "rock opera concept" album similar to our debut Legends, but at the same time, we have evolved musically and are delivering what we consider our heaviest and most diverse album to date. And even though we are taking a bit of a creative approach with the source material, the concept story of the album is deeply intertwined with the history of Austria and in particular with the end of the Habsburg monarchy, which is often romanticized in Austria and ingrained in our collective consciousness. We are therefore thrilled to be able to release this very special album on an Austrian label, Napalm Records, and hope that both old and new fans of DRAGONY will enjoy the brand new songs!”
Could DRAGONY’s rewriting of history mark a new revelation of hidden truths previously shrouded in fantasy? Only Viribus Unitis tells all!
Swedish groove death metal combo Chugger release the playthrough video to "Flatline", taken from their new album 'Of Man And Machine' out via Wormholedeath Records.
Band's comment:
"Hellow!
I am Ejric. And this is Larts.
We play very good music and we know how to bang the head.
On a more serious note, we are excited to finally let you see a peek of behind the curtains on the making of our song Flatline! The song has a solid chunk of heavy riffage and technical rhythms and tells the story about being dead alive and being imprisoned inside yourself - either emotionally or physically. Hope you enjoy! \m/"
