Comprised of eleven tracks, Violence Unimagined is state of the art death metal played with passion and breathless precision, making for another flawless addition to what is inarguably one of the premier catalogues the genre has thrown up. "It really follows the path we've been going down for a few years now," states bassist and founding member Alex Webster. "I think we approach the writing in a similar way most every time: each of us try to write the heaviest, most memorable songs we can. We want each song to have its own identifiable character. Showing my age, I like to say you can 'drop the needle' on any point of one of our albums and quickly tell which song you're listening to."

While they continue to do what they do with aplomb, the one substantial change to Cannibal Corpse is the addition of guitarist Erik Rutan to their ranks, joining Webster, founding drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, guitarist Rob Barrett and vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. Known for his roles in Morbid Angel, Ripping Corpse and most notably fronting the mighty Hate Eternal, Rutan has long established himself as one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary death metal. Simultaneously, he has built up a reputation as one of the most in demand producers in metal, having previously produced four Cannibal Corpse albums (in addition to Violence Unimagined), alongside the likes of Goatwhore, Soilent Green and Belphegor. Filling in live on guitar since 2019, in 2020 he became a full member, contributing to the writing process. "I think the most noticeable difference on this record will be the addition of Erik to the band. He wrote three full songs for the record, music and lyrics, and his song writing and guitar playing have added something new, and I think his musical style integrated into ours very well," Webster enthuses. This is not all that he brings to the band. "He's a great friend of ours, so on a personal level, he's been a perfect fit, as we knew he would be. Beyond that, he's one of the hardest working people I know, in music or otherwise, and he maintains a high energy, positive demeanor in challenging situations where other people might go in a negative direction. This energy and great attitude rubs off on the rest of us as well. That's really a perfect situation to have when you add someone to a band, or any kind of team: someone who's great at what they do, and also inspires the people around them."

Already well known for the level of extreme technicality they bring to every record, on Violence Unimagined, Cannibal Corpse have further upped their game, particularly in Mazurkiewicz's drumming. "I think we all pushed ourselves a bit technically on this one, with Paul probably pushing the hardest. This album is probably the most drum-intense album we've done yet. Part of that could be a result of Erik joining the band. His song writing style often features technically challenging drumming, probably owing to his years of experience in high speed death metal." And with typically dark and warped lyrical content, Mazurkiewicz came up with the fitting title of the record, "summing up what the band is about in every facet, and taking violence to another level of extremity."

About the album:

'While Our World Dissolves', will be released in the spring of 2021 and is a rewarding journey through the meanwhile unique metal vision of Reject The Sickness.

10 years of existence has not dulled the creative output of this band, which has preserved their trademark sense for memorable melodies while maintaining the viciousness akin to bands as diverse as Obscura, Testament, Dissection, Meshuggah, Morbid Angel, In-Quest, Gojira, Dark Angel, Pestilence and At The Gates.

The album was recorded at Clean And Dirty Studio, Belgium, mixed at Project Zero Studio, Belgium and mastered at Hertz Recoding Studio, Poland. Heed this call, before the world dissolves!

Biography:

Reject the Sickness is a five piece metalband from Belgium whose lyrical concept deals with outcast youth. Abuse, neglect, self harm and how to deal with the aforementioned are the main themes. The lyrics are fictional although Guy, the vocalist, can draw inspiration from his job as a social worker. It is a walk through the darkest reaches of the human psyche. Musically, progressive and ambient elements are threaded into a blend of thrash and death metal that is melodic without compromising on aggression. Guy Vercruysse and Ruben Van der Beken joined forces in 2008 searching for band members. In 2010, with a full line-up, they recorded their first demo "Slack Muscles Heal" and in 2013 a first mini-cd "Bloodstained Eyes" was released digitally via Clean and Dirty and physically through Deathwake Recordings. These were re-released together in 2015 via Headshot Records. In 2013, current drummer Jannick Govaert joined the fold.

The first full length, "Chains of Solitude" was released in 2015 by Danish metal label Mighty Music. With this album the band played Graspop Metal Meeting and toured the UK, expanding its fanbase in Belgium and beyond. Their sophomore album, 2018's "The Weight of Silence", also on Mighty Music, sounded fresh and raw and very melodic. This step to musical maturity earned them a spot on the Slovenian Metaldays festival. In the wake of this album the lead guitar and bass player parted ways with the band and were replaced with Zoran Van Bellegem and Jonas Messiaen.

With a new line-up comes new direction and in Reject the Sickness' case this means more melody in a fiercer, darker, aggresive style; showcased on 2019's "The New Chapter". Promoting this 3-track EP kept the band busy playing festivals and gigs, while working on their next full length. "While Our World Dissolves" couldn't be more appropriately named. Pushed back due to COVID to a 2021 release, the album is the band's hardest, rawest, most melodic, basically their best work yet. The first single, "Disapproval of the Weak" will confidently conquer Reject The Sickness an authentic place in today's melodic death/thrash landscape.

WRECHE RELEASE NEW SINGLE "SCHERZO"

PRESS RELEASE:

Avant-garde black metal pioneer Wreche has released a new boundary-pushing track which has just been premiered by No Clean Singing.

The track, “Scherzo”, is taken from Wreche’s upcoming album All my dreams came true, which will be released on May 14 2021.

John Steven Morgan, the band’s sole member, handles all instruments and vocals on “Scherzo”, creating a demented and anguished yet strangely beautiful cacophony. Tortured screams and blasting drums writhe alongside Wreche’s signature classical-influenced piano that acts as lead instrument in place of guitars.

According to No Clean Singing: “The impact of [“Scherzo”]…is harrowing, a constant coiling of tension and peril, a searing portrayal of fear and madness.”

Biography:

The band from Nässjö had its start back in 2011 when later that year they also proceeded to record their debut EP "A Taste of Insanity". They performed live at a couple gigs with the EP until early 2013, where the band came to a halt due to some members leaving. Fast forward to 2017, two of the original members Ricky Magnusson and Johan Schill felt it was time to reboot the band to find an outlet for their Death Metal ideas - based on influences from bands like Arch Enemy, Lamb of God and Kreator to name a few.

As early as spring 2017, they found their new addition to bass guitar; Mattias Gunnarsson. Ricky and Mattias were at this point already well acquainted with each other since they had been playing together in another band. During this period, they had developed a good chemistry in their playing and writing. For this reason, Mattias became a most welcome addition to Silent Verdict. While the band continued working on the musical parts to the upcoming EP "Azrael", they now needed a vocalist to fill in the ranks. After checking out a handful of applicants for the spot as a vocalist, the band eventually found Mattias Kulas, who fit in perfectly with the kind of vocalist the band had in mind. Mattias Kulas has a background as a vocalist in the Swedish metal band Eroded. With the new constellation now being complete and the new songs being thoroughly polished and pre-produced, the band decided it was time to hit the studio. They proceeded to book an appointment with HoboRec in Lund, Sweden, to record the EP "Azrael". At the end of September 2017 and recorded it which was released in November that same year. During the summer of 2018, the band was contacted by the record label Wormholedeath and was presented with a record deal, which they later signed in March 2019. They proceeded record their first full length album ”Condemned” with Jonathan Mazzeo (The Grid Europe) as producer in Pistoia, Italy. The album is scheduled to release in spring 2021.
