The word “paroxysm” relates to the utmost exacerbation of symptoms, pain orfeelings. However, paroxysm can also indicate the exhaustion of the limits of human condition and survival. Such conditions and survival are increasingly deteriorated by the current social decay that affects human, political and environmental relationships.
Paroxysm, therefore, presents itself as a synthesis that encompasses the aesthetics of a time of destruction and despair. Paroxysm is the consequence of a sick world.
The songs were composed, arranged and recorded by Flávio França,
responsible for guitars and bass, in collaboration with Flávio Neves, who composed the drums and Rogerio Mendes who took the vocal duties.
Lyrics were contributed by King Lizzard, lead singer of Son Of A Witch.
Paroxysm is a project located between Natal and Recife and is based on a shared interest of playing dense and extreme music. It presents itself as a catalyst for the contradictions and emptiness of our time.
