Portuguese power duo SOUL OF ANUBIS will release their new album, "Ritual", on February 20th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records. After more than a decade of intense activity, relentless touring and a steadily growing reputation across Europe, the band returns with a record that captures the full scope of their signature sound.

“'Incarnation' represents the rebirth into a new cycle to enter the path of peace after the conflicted struggle in life. It is the story of a man who, after his death, gets on the boat to head towards the perfect world and who faces difficult struggles during his crossing. Along the way, he must leave behind oppression, starvation, pain and mind, leading him to immortality".

Formed in 2010 in Northern Portugal, SOUL OF ANUBIS have carved out a distinct place within the European underground thanks to their explosive fusion of thrash, sludge, doom and post-metal. Their sound channels the raw urgency of Mantar, the primal energy of early Mastodon, and the relentless drive of High On Fire and Black Cobra, yet remains unmistakably their own - a visceral blend of aggression and dynamic shifts that refuses to be confined to a single genre.

On stage, the duo are known for their fierce and magnetic performances, delivering an unfiltered surge of heaviness that connects with audiences on a deeply physical level. Over the years, they have performed extensively across Portugal and beyond, building a loyal following through their intensity and authenticity.

The upcoming album promises to push their sonic boundaries even further, expanding upon their trademark blend of massive riffs, dark groove, and emotional gravity, while highlighting a newfound sense of urgency and compositional versatility.

Emergence was recorded by USRAWRATH, and mixed and mastered by Max Barber of Singular Path Audio. Artwork by Riaj Gragoth (www.luciferiumwargraphics.com).

URSAWRATH was founded by vocalist and bassist Adam Schaefer in September 2023 after relocating to Seattle to pursue music and form a new band. To recruit members, Schaefer recorded a four-song demo featuring early versions of “Thawed by Hell's Flames,” “In the Abyss,” “Echo Chamber,” and “Sentenced to Life.” Shortly after, guitarists DJ and Lucas Robertson joined the fold, and the trio began rehearsing and refining material. Drummer Maximilian Onsager completed the lineup in spring 2024.

With the full band in place, URSAWRATH began writing new material and reworking the demo tracks, adding guitar solos, updated arrangements, and new drum parts. They started performing live around Seattle in May 2024 to establish themselves in the local scene. By October, the band entered the studio to self-record their debut album Emergence, which features reimagined versions of the original demo songs alongside new tracks written collaboratively. With Emergence complete, URSAWRATH returned to the stage, continuing to build momentum as one of the most exciting new voices in progressive thrash.

MoldEra is a symbiotic organism born in 2018 in the post-industrial wastelands of Liège, Belgium, formed by four anthropomorphic mold spores with a mutual fascination for deep, slow, and hypnotic heavy sounds. Navigating between the fertile grounds of stoner and progressive rock, and venturing into the murky territories of doom and sludge, the band cultivated their sonic identity through lockdown-era experimentation. Their debut album Waste Pile Dunes (2022) marked the first fruit of their efforts and laid the foundation for an intense live campaign.

Two years of sonic evolution on stage led to the emergence of Colonize, their second full-length effort, recorded in 2024. With this record, MoldEra further deepens their blend of heavy riffs, atmospheric layering, and socially charged themes.

ABOUT THE ALBUM – COLONIZE

Colonize is a conceptually rich and musically immersive album, composed collectively by the full MoldEra lineup. It merges classic stoner doom foundations with textured post-metal passages, evoking the slow burn of Yob and the immersive depth of Isis, while also nodding to '90s grunge influences such as Alice in Chains and Deftones.

Lyrically, frontman Florian Zanatta delves into themes of industrialized exploitation of nature, ecological collapse, land degradation, and growing societal unrest. The album critiques the techno-optimism promoted by military-industrial and media-entertainment complexes, while also portraying resilience and the possibility of renewal. In the ruins of late capitalism, mold may represent both a threat and a symbol of survival.
