As the summer of 2021 quickly approached, some friends enjoyed their lunch break together at the factory where they worked. Among them were Jameson Burkey and Matt Pifer. Jameson had an idea for a music video about cannibalism that he wanted to make with the help of those around him. Matt, a multi-instrumentalist, was asked to record a song in the vein of 90's era death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel, and Jameson would live out his lifelong dream of doing the vocals. Although it was initially intended as a one off project, as the recording began the two realized they had tapped into something special. It was then that Burker was born. As the writing began for their third upcoming single, "Three Foot Pipe", they enlisted the help of Matt's brother and former Masters of Luxury bandmate, Ryan on the drums, making Burker a trio. This proved to be an important ingredient in the Burker sound, as the intensity grew tenfold. "Three Foot Pipe" is the heaviest, fastest, most aggressively hateful song in their catalog to date. It features punishing drums, crushing guitars, and tortured vocals, yet has catchy melodies and memorable lead passages. The trio look forward to what lies ahead of them and are eager to share their new sound!

SICKOMANIA RELEASE "SICKOMANIA"

SICKOMANIA is a new metal band from Denmark / Sweden, which plays with deep roots in thrash, but with several detours to both the death metal and the classic heavy metal. The band consists of experienced forces from bands like Dominus, Deadflesh, Timeless Hall, Carnal Forge, Loch Vostok, Furious Trauma and Shadowspawn. SICKOMANIA was formed at the end of 2019, and has since spent time writing and recording the upcoming album. The organic production is handled by the band's guitarist, Arne Lunde, however, the drums are recorded in Sweden, with Léo Margarit (Pain of Salvation) as technician. The album consists of seven regular and hard-hitting metal cuts, and ends up with the 10-minutes long and epic instrumental journey ‘Beyond the Ninth Gate’.

So far, SICKOMANIA has released 3 digital singles, all of which can be found on all relevant streaming services. ‘Saint Psycho’ , which is the latest, was followed by a video. The gloomy and beautiful cover is an oil painting, created by the talented artist David Troest, and the band's videos are made in collaboration with the talented photographer Bo Toftegaard. A new video for the track ‘Psychotic Path’, coming in November. The release date is November 5 via Gateway Music (Scandinavia), and Bandcamp (Rest of the World). Initially on CD and all streaming services, the vinyl is delayed (due to the pandemic) until January 2022.

Newcomers Pyrrhic Salvation spawned from such a setting, the byproduct of seasoned musicians in three different states in the United States that have never met each other in person. Several years after the initial seeds of their collaboration were planted, the group's debut effort, Manifestum I, is now set for release on February 18th, 2022.

At its core, Manifestum I draws heavily from the original death metal era, modern complex death metal, and black metal, synthesizing several decades worth of their influences into an end product of esoteric madness both caustically raw and highly ambitious all at once.

For those seeking out extreme metal that's unique, Manifestum I has an entire musical world to offer those who sink into its depths. You'll find no cookie-cutter death metal here, Pyrrhic Salvation's goal is to explore and expand what is possible between sounds pleasing to fans of both older death metal and newer forms of death metal.

Lowell, Massachusetts natives Heavy Meta are proud to officially announce the release of their debut album, Mana Regmata. Set for release on February 11th. Active since 2017, the enigmatic sonic shapeshifters music initially started taking form way back in 2013. In 2019 their first official effort, an adventurous four-song self-titled EP, was released and they're now back with an even wilder work of art in 2022.

A DIY spirit pervades Mana Regmata, which was self-recorded and produced by the band in their own studios over the past year. The cover art for Mana Regmata was created by the band's bassist, Kishor Haulenbeek, known for his visual art crafted for groups such as Afterbirth (Willowtip Records), Rannoch, In Human Form (I, Voidhanger), and others. Kishor also mixed Mana Regmata with mastering handled by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East.

The concept of there being "nothing new under the sun" may exist for a reason, yet there will always be bold and visionary new art that has something new to share which has not been done before. Heavy Meta exists in this sphere, an anomaly drawing from many styles of music, both metal and non-metal alike. The end result of that desire to make something new manifests itself on Mana Regmata as music where every listener will hear different things within every song. All the while, what individual listeners hear may very well be a part of what influenced its creation given the humungous list of bands and styles of music that have informed the band's unique take on heavy music.

To that end, the band jokingly calls their music "blackened progressive cowboy nintendocore", as there is no way to describe the music Heavy Meta makes in simple terms. To back up a bit, understanding what Heavy Meta is all about does require an understanding that three of its members have spent time in the renowned progressive black metal outfit In Human Form (I, Voidhanger Records) along with the cumulative experience of everything else this projects members have been a part of over the years. 

Mana Regmata is that rare work of art capable of throwing the kitchen sink at the listener while remaining focused, assembling something energetic and compelling from a wide array of influences. Mana Regmata exists on its own terms, unorthodox yet extremely passionate, and designed without listener expectations in mind. To give you a musical roadmap for what's in store for those who check it out, imagine if Sikth joined forces with Every Time I Die, Botch, Voivod, Mr. Bungle, Dillinger Escape Plan, Rush, and many others.
