BREATHS will release their new album "Death Can Wait". The album will be released on June 27th and will be available on vinyl & CD through Elastic Stage as well as digital download through Bandcamp (currently up for preorder) and streaming on all platforms.
BREATHS is an intentional and unbound journey through the vast and volatile realms of metal, hardcore, rock, and experimental sound — eschewing the comfort of genres or labels in pursuit of raw, radiant emotion.
BREATHS is the Richmond, VA-based passion project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jason Roberts. On his fifth full-length album, Death Can Wait, Roberts blends elements of doom metal, post-metal, post-hardcore, sludge metal, progressive metal, shoegaze, and post-rock—crafting a bold and immersive fusion of genres, textures, and song structures. Death Can Wait is a compelling listen for fans of these styles and for anyone drawn to adventurous, genre-defying sonic exploration.

2. The Void
3. Our Rapture
4. The Ghost Remains
5. Now I Am Become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds

Chilean Doom Metal/Post-Hardcore band IIII released their new album «Nueva Desesperanza». The release was recorded, mixed and produced by Juan Pablo Cañolés at "Plex Studios", co-produced by Felipe Arenas (Entrefuegos) and assisted by Joseph Araya.
IIII (Cuatro) was formed in late 2014 in Santiago, Chile, by José Ignacio Mercado as a noise, free-rock, and ambient improvisation project. After a 2020 revival, the band transitioned into a post-doom quartet with hardcore influences. The lineup features Pedro Romero (guitar), Fernando Molina (drums), Christian Spencer (vocals/bass), and Mercado (guitar), all seasoned musicians from Chile’s post-metal, punk, and free jazz scenes.
“Impression,” this is the title of our new project, is an introspective and personal journey between past, present and future. The sound choices that enrich the sometimes swirling textures of the tracks, sometimes deliberately focused on almost primitive rhythms, unconsciously reflect the band's desire to write a new story, perhaps a new rebirth. From a symbolic track etched on clay to the vibrant and aggressive pulse dictated by a tormented sound/vocal need. The lyrics are meant to narrate “the human journey” that, through its constant “falls,” continually tries to cling to “an impression” of existence. The album is not meant to be a static image of a permanent recording process of light/matter/sound interactions. “Impression” is meant to be an evolutionary process of the band, an attempt at sonic immersion for those who like to learn through “discovery” thanks primarily to the use of the resources of their own mind.

There's a menacing red-shimmering light at the end of the dark journey that CELESTE started last year, since signing to metal heavyweight Nuclear Blast and announcing their new masterpiece. Today, the band unleashes their new longplayer "Assassine(s)", produced by Chris Edrich (GOJIRA, TESSERACT, THE OCEAN, LEPROUS).
With their unique mix of black metal, sludge and post hardcore, and over 500 shows played since their inception in 2005, CELESTE have cemented their status as one of France's most important underground acts and now unveil a new single off their upcoming album, released today!
The band states:
"After these recent years full of struggles, it is with an immense joy that we unleash our 6th album in its entirety.
Recording Assassine(s) was a long journey, during which we’ve all had our hearts working to full capacity. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do."
Together with their new album, CELESTE reveal a video for the song "Elle répète froidement", once again a cineastic masterpiece that you can check out here: https://youtu.be/fJZz7Z4rdys
The band stated regarding this hypnotizing track:
"These sparkling drums introduce us to a song which perfectly depicts how forward thinking and more accessible this new effort is. Modern riffing, almost pop-like lead guitars and structures embrace voluptuous melodies. This song is a praise of despair and melancholia, four magnificent minutes of pure spleen."
Having played more than 500 shows around the world, including appearances at several prestigious extreme music festivals, theaters and venues (Hellfest, Roskilde, Copenhell, SummerBreeze, Brutal Assault, Roadburn, Psycho Las Vegas...), with one EP and five albums under their belt, CELESTE have succeeded in creating their own musical atmosphere and are today considered to be one of the most important bands of the "French Avant-Garde Black-Metal" scene.

"There’s something quite fascinating about this album. Something that keeps you listening on even as it tumbles down the avant-garde rabbit hole." GBHBL.com
Keelan comments on the album, “‘Contemporary Tragedy’ is about loss and how it transforms people in different ways. It was originally intended to be a short story told in album form. Instead, it became a theme album touching on not only loss, but what a person can become after losing what they believe to be everything. A combination of progressive and posthardcore births interesting and unique musicianship while pushing genre boundaries. Over 800 hours were spent writing and recording this album.”
Contemporary Tragedy was written, performed, recorded, edited, mixed and mastered by Keelan Donahue.
Track Listing:
1. Contemporary Tragedy I: Our Final Breaths
2. Contemporary Tragedy II: Wax Reveries
3. Contemporary Tragedy III: Curtains Close
4. Clar(it)y

THESE COLORS FADE was founded in August of 2016 as a medium for Keelan to write and record music during his downtime as a musician. Early TCF consisted of him singing while playing keyboard. It has since evolved into implementing guitar, bass, and drums for a "full band feel" as well as shifting genres from acoustic to metal.
THESE COLORS FADE is:

On February 5th, Cult of Luna will release a new EP, entitled The Raging River, via Red Creek (red-crk.com) - the band's newly created record label, which will be physically distributed by Metal Blade Records (in North America) and Season of Mist (in Europe). Pre-order The Raging River now at: metalblade.com/cultofluna (North American ltd edition pre-order; vinyl & CD) and red-crk.com (limited editions, band merch & more). See below for available formats:
- digipak-CD
- transparent red w/ gold splatter vinyl
Cult of Luna comments: "After more than 20 years of touring, releasing albums and experiencing different kinds of deals and aspects of the music industry, we believed that it was the right time for us to seek more freedom and to reduce the distance between us and our audience.
So, in 2020, Red Creek was born. It has been created as a safe home for our art, but we wanted to do more and offer our experience, expertise and network to the artists we love and believe in. Therefore, we gathered talents and partners around us to create a crafted solution to our needs that is adaptable also to the needs of other artists.
Red Creek will be our home; if you've been with us for 20 years or 2 days, this will be your home too.
We're also pleased to team up with great companies such as Metal Blade for the distribution in North America and Season of Mist for the distribution in Europe."
Red Creek's debut release, The Raging River, is a seamless continuation of the writing process and the creative mindset that has guided Cult of Luna for the last couple of years. "'The Raging River' feels more like a bridge. A midpoint that needs to be crossed so we can finish what we started with 2019's 'A Dawn to Fear,'" the band adds. "It's been an interesting, as well as an introspective, way of working, having our instinct leading the way and then having to figure out where it takes us. But not only has it been a linear journey; some aspects of it are also clearly circular. For example, we have been a fan of Mark Lanegan for many years. So in 2005, when we wrote the song 'And With Her Came the Birds', we had his voice in mind, and the working title was 'The Lanegan Song'. But we were not many years over 20, and our lack of self-confidence prevented us from even daring to ask. It took fifteen years for us to get the guts to ask him. Hearing his voice on 'Inside Of A Dream' is nothing more than feeling that we're inside of a dream."
Stay tuned for a preview of The Raging River coming soon!
On November 6th, France's Déluge will release their sophomore album, Ægo Templo, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of the record, a video for the new single, "Digue" (directed by VCR), can be viewed at: youtu.be/eXGnDJV-OwY
Déluge comments: "We see life as a perpetual battle with your inner self, and 'Digue' (dike, breakwater) symbolizes that constant fight to stay in the bright side of life. To win this battle, we feel the necessity to embrace the dark part of it, in order to see every little glow in the darkness slowly becoming a strong flame, the need to change our perception to eventually see beauty where it is. But it is a curse and a deep weakness not being able to see beauty otherwise. The different scenes in the music video play with these emotions and the battles you fight with yourself, trying to keep yourself into the light."
The previously released single, "Opprobre", can be heard at: metalblade.com/deluge - where Ægo Templo can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:
- digipak-CD
- 180g black vinyl (EU exclusive)
- blue / white / black marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 300 copies)
- white vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 200 copies)
- gold / black dust vinyl (Kings Road exclusive - limited to 100 copies)
- gold vinyl (US exclusive)
France has long been a fertile breeding ground for black metal, and one of its best kept secrets is Déluge, who have been kicking up a blend of that genre and post-hardcore since 2014. Dropping their debut full-length Æther in 2015, in 2020 they return with sophomore effort Ægo Templo, a more accessible record that pushes their sound in ever more imaginative directions. "I wanted to go further into something more 'easy to listen to', but I really did not want to lose what we had, that melancholia and the essence of our music," states founding guitarist François-Thibaut Hordé. "It was a very interesting - and exhausting - challenge, and to me we have succeeded. We are really proud of this new record."
Produced by François-Thibaut with assistance from engineers Thibault Chaumont/Deviant Lab studio (Igorrr, Carpenter Brut, Birds in Row) - who also mixed and mastered the album - and Amaury Sauvé / The Apiary studio who recorded the drums, Ægo Templo marks a bold step forward from their earlier recorded output. Featuring clean vocals on almost every track, keyboards and additional instruments on several songs, plus soprano saxophone on "Opprobre", this new offering separates Déluge from their contemporaries, all the while maintaining their identity.
The band also turned to Valnoir from Metastazis Studio in Paris to once again design their artwork, and they asked several artists to guest on the record: Tetsuya Fukagawa of Japanese Screamo legends Envy adds vocals to "Gloire Au Silence"; Matthieu Metzger provides saxophone on "Opprobre"; and Hélène Muesser contributes vocals on "Abysses", "Ægo Templo" and "Digue" - all helping to add further depths to the music.
Ægo Templo track-listing
1. Soufre
2. Opprobre
3. Abysses
4. Fratres
5. Gloire Au Silence
6. Ægo Templo
7. Baïne
8. Digue
9. Béryl
10. Vers
Even in these uncertain times, what comes next for Déluge is clear - their goals are undeniable: "We want to be touring as much as we can, spreading our bright music as much as we can, and going much further than the metal scene can offer us."
After Ægo Templo's release, Déluge will head out on the road with label-mates Igorrr for a tour of France and Switzerland in December. See below for all dates!

DEAD POETIC - FOUR WALL BLACKMAIL (Solid State Recs, 2002)
Produced By: Barry Poynter and Jason Magnussen
Tracks: 1- Burgundy, 2- The Corporate Enthusiast, 3- A Green Desire, 4- Four Wall Blackmail, 5- August Winterman, 6- Ollie Otson, 7- Bliss Tearing Eyes, 8- Stereochild, 9- Arlinton Arms, 10- Tell Myself Goodbye
Recorded at Poynter´s Palace
Here we have a band with two sides: the first one is the rocking side with distorted guitars, interesting rhythms and some screaming vocals, then there is the pop side with a lot of melodies in the vocals and catchy choruses. The combination gives you an idea of how Dead Poetic Sound. One thing that surprised me is that there are a lot of screaming vocals and they are really well combined with the more melodic part (I would say that this band is the perfect link between the releases of Tooth and Nail Recs. and the ones by Solid State Recs). You can feel the power of this band in the heaviest parts and then sing the choruses along the songs....I find this release strange and amazing and with a lot of originality on each of the songs (I find really interesting hown they brake peaceful parts with some screaming and heavy guitars!!). This is the missing link !!
Favorite tracks: "A Green Desire", "August Winterman" and "Arlinton Arms"
