Malevolent, started in 2022 as the brainchild of Belgian composer/musician, Nikolaas Van Riet, trying to merge the early days of symphonic and gothic metal, with a new modern, heavily cinematic inspired sound. Nikolaas went looking for a female singer with a warm but powerful voice, strong technical capabilities, and a Celtic/Medieval touch. This unique combination was found in the mega talented Spanish professional singer Celica Soldream.

The combination of these two musical minds, backed by some experienced studio musicians, went to work with a the industry leading producer Joost Vandenbroek. This strong combo led to the creation of the Malevolent debute EP.
