Four warriors band together to oppose the insidious power of the Sorceress. Her influence stretches out from her dark tower, carried by her felt magics and evil servants. First comes the seemingly soft succubus, her whispered commands so easy to mistake for your own desires. She breaks the will of those who would stand up to the more visceral and brutal minions of her mistress and leaves none left to resist the horror of the Butcher, come to take your flesh.
Those who are torn to shreds are the lucky ones. The wretched survivors are dragged before the Sorceress whereby foul spell craft she drives her athame through their hearts and binds their tortured souls to their rotting shells as her thralls for all time.
Despite this our would-be heroes keep on for the Sorceress may have been their inciting incident there are many dark forces in the world that will only cease when put to the sword. And so they face mindless beasts and slavering devils, withstand poisonous fumes and freezing cold all by the dint of their valor and their skills and their faith in the Sun, Unconquered and Undarkened.
But mortal are they, and some things are simply too powerful. Broken by the might of the terror serpent, burnt by the monster's searing blast, they crawl, desperate to cool their blistered bones in the dank waters of the marsh.
Death seems inevitable when their hopeless cries are answered by an unsaid presence who calls to them from beyond the stars...
