SHURIKEN CADAVERIC ENTWINEMENT RELEASE "CONSTRUCTING THE CATACLYSM"

PRESS RELEASE:

SHURIKEN CADAVERIC ENTWINEMENT – CONSTRUCTING THE CATACLYSM

LABEL: COMATOSE MUSIC

RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 5th 2022

They pour through the demon gate, the hungry ghosts and the bringers of plague; the Oni with their horns and tusks and skin the colour of sickness. Driven on by Enma, Lord of Hell, they come like an endless tide, whipped into a frothing fury by their colossal hunger for human flesh. Yet all that awaits them is the steel of our katanas, the wicked blades of our naginatas, our resplendent banners of war and a code of honour stronger than death...

Drawing on the complex history and vibrant mythology of the samurai, the powerful warrior caste of feudal Japan, Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement have carved out their own kingdom of intense and characterful death metal. It’s been nearly a decade since multi-instrumentalist Jordan Varela (Lust Of Decay) and vocalist Jay Barnes (Cesspool Of Vermin) unveiled their second album, Resuscitating The Vile and it seemed that the demonic duo may have fallen on their swords, consigning Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement to the dust of ages. However the silence has now been irrevocably shattered as third album, Constructing The Cataclysm tears its way from the creative womb! Featuring eight songs of fiercely implacable death metal, bristling with riffs like lethal weapons and Barnes’ unmistakeable devilish growls and howls, this album takes Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement to new levels of intensity and sheer class. From the opening war cry of ‘Insurrection Of The Diabolical’, through the malicious torments of ‘Insidious Spiritual Incarceration’ to the classic death metal magnificence of the climactic title track, Constructing The Cataclysm is a towering monolith of pure death metal, the perfect representation of Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement’s sound and approach. Domineering drumming, powerful melodies and classic yet inventive riffing bring a battlefield of gods, demons and legends to vivid, visceral, screaming life!

It may have been a long time coming, but Constructing The Cataclysm sees Varela and Barnes return stronger than ever before. When Comatose Music unleash this beast of war on August 5th there will be no denying the overwhelming power and potency of Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement. Recorded at Audio Helm Studios with Mike Clevenger, Constructing The Cataclysm possesses an incendiary sound that combines clarity of delivery with a snarling, venomous power. The final touch of magic has been applied by Andreas Christanetoff of Armaada Art (Aborted, Kraanium, NecroticGoreBeast etc) with some stunning samurai cover art. Armoured once more in the scales of the serpent god of war, Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement have returned and the cataclysm is nigh!

ANTICREATION RELEASE "FROM THE DUST OF EMBERS"

PRESS RELEASE:

Sentient Ruin is honored to welcome into the family Greek black/death metal legion Anticreation for whom we’ve prepared the release of their immense debut album, “From the Dust of Embers", in collaboration with Nuclear Winter Records, also from Greece.

A song from the work has been unveiled by Decibel Magazine via an official music video premiere for the title track which you can find HERE, with the prized metal magazine stating that “If you’re in the mood for unrelenting brutality mixed with abysmal black metal, Anticreation are just the ticket” and that “The combination of slamming death riffs and black metal flavor and depth has a mesmerizing effect on the listener.“

On “From the Dust of Embers" Anticreation emerge from the abysses of hell with a thirty-four minute aural declaration of war toward the insignificance of all terrain things. Monstrous walls of low end dissonance churn and fume like sprawling hellfires, while dark ambient and ritualistic debris metastasizes around the telluric instrumental sections creating a grandiose and enveloping hellscape shrouded in darkness and death. No newcomers to their scene, the cryptic duo of Necro and Noctus who form the core of Anticreation have been sailing the black seas of Greece's most uncompromising underground for literal decades, with Necro in particular having spent the last twenty years forging hellbent steel in such miscreant greek black metal entities as Burial hordes, Enshadowed, and Merciless Crucifixion, among others. Anticreation is a vessel unto fusing Necro's and Noctus' long running expertise in black metal and the duo's interest and fascination in the bleakest and most otherworldly forms of dark death metal, namely that one conceived in various waves by bastions of the genre like Immolation, Portal, Pseudogod and Teitanblood, resulting in their debut offering "From the Dust of Embers", an imposing dark death metal best levitating with an immense aura of complete ruin and inevitability.

“From the Dust of Embers" will be released July 8 2022 on LP, CD, MC, and digital formats in collaboration with Nuclear Winter Records handling the European release.

SACRED SIN RELEASE "STORMS OVER THE DYING WORLD"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: Sacred Sin

Album: Storms Over The Dying World

Country: Portugal

Genre: Death Metal

Label: Lusitanian Music

Release date: July 29th, 2022

It's been more than three decades as one of the leading names in thrash and death metal Portuguese scene, counting on six albums. The new work will be the successor to «Born Suffer Die», 2020 Ep. The strength of the three themes contained in the Ep left a lot of curiosity about the new album, entitled «Storms Over The Dying World». This seventh album by the quartet will be released by Lusitanian Music, with a release date for CD, LP, Cassette and digital platforms, scheduled for July 29th. The LP release, given the production constraints of the moment, might happen a little later. Recorded at Rock'n'Raw by Bruno Miguel Jorge, the album is produced by Tó Pica and Sacred Sin. The album’s title, according to José Costa, bassist and vocalist, “synthesizes the lyrical and musical part of the album as a whole”. After the rebirth with «Born Suffer Die», and the stabilization of the formation, with Tó Pica and Luís Coelho on the strings, the album was delayed due to the installed pandemic. It is the musician himself who claims to have started “recording during the pandemic, although some themes come further back in time”. That's why “this record is a collection of songs that now come to life outside of our demos, and we have the opportunity to share them with everyone”. The quartet was already complete in the preparation phase of the work, with Fernando Dantas as the group's official drummer, having already recorded all the drums for the album.

Line-up:

Jose Costa - vocals & bass

To Pica - guitars

Luis Coelho - guitars

Fernando Dantas - drums
